Just appeared in my feed, been doing some airgun searches to keep up with what's happening and I get a blast from the past, the Man Himself Paul Capello... best airgun reporter on the Tube, ever ... Rick's OK... but Paul..hey enough to say I wish he'd pick it up again.....
I JUST PUMPED UP MY .25 MARAUDER
first time, using the Benjamin PCP Hand Pump.
It took me about 270 pump strokes &
3 five minute pump sessions,
with rests between.
I weigh 150 lb. So it got tough. I had to use my weight.
On each stroke, I pushed a little with my arms, then hurled my weight onto the handle, needing a moving start to get to the bottom on each stroke.
The most unpleasant part was the bang on my wrists when I got to the bottom of each stroke (slam). I had to slam it down.

After studying the pamphlet-manual, I mostly ignored it & just did what this video shows.
I turned the velocity screw a half turn counterclockwise. I found that screw below the "jam nut [screw]" after removing the jam screw -- in the same hole.
Great product love it
If you search "compressor" on our site, you will see several compressors that would be suitable for the marauder. Just remember that you have to also purchase the correct adapter.

the bolt mechnism is so crisp and smooth why are u so rough with it !!!
With sincerity, the Marauder is over Theobid Rapid? Much is said about this rifle in other countries including, in comparison with rifles and long fall and daystated Theobid.
I show me the light of this uncertainty, it is that you're a guru airguns and will not be any problem for you by your experience.

Sidewheel is something you get in addition to the scope. You can put a sidewheel on most of the scopes. Look for: PY-A-874, PY-A-875 or PY-A-625 on our web site.

Awesome series on the Marauder (pts 1 & 2 on pyramid website). Can you provide any leads where you purchased your compressor that can be used on the Marauder vs. scuba or hand pump? Thanks..
Thanks for the advice, i understand it's fairly cheap and relatively simple to convert .22 to a .177 and vice versa?
Not to get too picky, but the 5/64" Allen key is removing a "set" or "grub" screw, not a jam nut. A screw has threads on its outer diameter. A nut has a hole with threads on its inner diameter.
I mean the pump in the video. "that pump"

Shot velocity on his gun drops too suddenly, I upgraded to an aftermarket valve and got and average of 914 fps across 50 shot with the same pallets.
PUMPING THE M-ROD
At 1st I was getting no where pumping, since it pumped about 10 strokes, then I heard a puff of air with no more results when I pumped. I did not have the connector on the M-Rod securely. So I fixed that & then it worked.
love my benjamin marauder ,the thing is devastating and will be a real asset when fire arm ammo is rare. Does anyone know if there is a company making a modern version of the air rifle Lewis and Clark took on their expedition? The thing was amazing!
@pyramidair Hey Paul. Would you please help me? I have to choose between getting the Marauder in .177, or the Hatsan AT44-10 .177. Which, in your opinion, is the best - which one would you buy?

@pyramydair Wait, what are you talking about? I just checked your website after I read that comment and the Super Streak is still in production.
It will primarily be used in residential areas, lots of rabbits, birds and squirrels.
@pyramydair i was most likely gonna be using it for plinking, but mainly pest control with birds and mongoose. Hows the triggers on each of the three guns? And is accuracy about the same? And are there any cons that i should be aware of for each gun? and Ill be using a hand pump if i get a PCP, would there be a difference between the Marauder and Blizzard S10? and what kind of connection is the Blizzard S10?
I have one of these coming this week from you guys. My question is...do you leave the chamber pressurized when it is not in use? And if you do, how many pounds of air should be left in it? I keep getting mixed answers to this question. Thanx.

Where did you get the air compressor and how much it cost? Why don't you guys have one of those on sale at pyramyair? I could use one of those and I'm sure others pcp owners would love too have one. I like the hand pump, but it takes a lot of work to get from 0-3000 psi. Sometime i wake up with sore arms.
hey AGR a while ago i bought a discovery with the hand pump and i am thinking of upgrading to the marauder an i have one simple question.... will the hand pump for the discovery work on the marauder?

Is it possible to use just the bolt action part without the co2 or scuba stuff like a regular bolt action rifle, are there any bolt action air rifles that just use the bolt action alone.
QUESTION: I have a Gamo Bone Collector .177 and I was just watching your video. What I have notice about a Gamo Hunter Extreme and my Gamo Bone Collector is that they both sound just like a real 22 rifle. My Gamo Bone Collector loud popping sound will not calm down till I shot at least 35 rounds in it. However, the very next day that loud popping sound was back again. My question is... What can I do to lower the sound or what can Gamo do to lower the popping sound of these Gamo Air Rifles?

Pyramydair. Another question would u consider the marauder fare for feild target or would I be wasting my time. It is one of the few gun sports in puerto Rico and I'm interested in trying it. Speaking of PR do u ship directly to there?

What is the maximum power (energy in FPE) i can expect from a .22cal marauder?
30FPE is a 21g barracuda (kodiak) going at about 800fps. The marauder cant do this even when adjusted for 3000psi fills and power adjusted to max?
what is the top velocity i can expect using kodiaks on a 3000psi fill and power adjustment to full?

TANK INSTEAD OF PUMP
Since I won't be doing all that much shooting, the pump is OK for me, since it gives good exercise. I need to pad the handle more to stop the jar on the wrists at bottom of stroke.
Ebay has several tanks for sale. The Carbon fiber tanks unfortunately die in 15 years (cannot be refilled then). & they require hydrostatic pressure testing, which costs something. So, you have to watch the manufacture date on buying a used tank. I think steel tanks last indefinitely.
also what is the length of the barrel for the .22 cal benjamin marauder and is it the same for all .22 marauders
I understand the .22 and the .25 barrels are made by differant companies. The .25 cals. were made by Green Mountain but have since been changed ? Is there a way to tell if my .25 maurader purchased from PyramydAir has the Green Mountain barrel?
Pyramydair. I like the scope he has and I want to put it on my marauder. how much is it and were can I get one? i've looked on ur website and centerpoint and haven't been able to find it. If it is discontinuded could u tell me of another scope that's got a side wheel for the focus. Please and thank u

Unfortunately your hand blocks view. The word BACK means you put the alan wrench BACK in the adjustment port from where you extracted the jam nut. To increase velocity you turn IT counterclockwise.
But what does IT mean? It wud seem to mean the jam nut -- but you took that out!!! What is the IT that you turn? Is there a 2nd nut below the jam nut in the port???
what's the damage in storing the rifle(for a long time) with no air in tank?i have this rifle stored with no air in tank.

PUMPING THE MARAUDER
I preferred a different pump, like Air Force or Hill, but could not find a good price on it. A company offered me a birthday discount so I got a Benj for $152.99 + 13.09 shipping (+ 3 cent NRA contribution!) Pyramyd was withholding their "10 percent" code discount on Air Force, or I prob wud have bought Air Force. Thus far the new Crosman Turbo Aire pump has been just vapor-ware; I couldn't find a way to buy it.
how much was that compressor that you have in the video?
1) Why would not everyone adjust it for max velocity?
2) Will the Air Force pump work with the Marauder? Adaptor needed?

It appears to me that if you buy a used tank, you may have these problems:
1) life-time expiration,
2) need to get it tested ($),
3) u may need to buy valves & connectors ($)
4) u have to pay to drive somewhere ($) & pay for filling ($).
Wudn't it be nice if there were a cheap little high pressure electric pump for this purpose. I can see someone with an engine, leather belts, wheels, gears making a reciprocating device to move the pump handle up & down.

Hi there, I've been wanting to get a .22 air rifle for a while that was under 250 dollars to do some hunting and I seen on the pyramydair web site that there selling a Tech Force TF87, what I was wondering is this a gun good? It seems too good to be true for the price, anything you could tell me about the good would be much appreciated.

I know this rifle has adjustable velocity, and fill preasure (2000 to 3000psi). But Can it be adjusted to be a 30 fpe rifle?
I need 30 FPE of energy cause i do a lot of long range shooting.
I like my Marauder. But I must say that it is rather heavy. It is so heavy that I find it hard to hold it steady. I think I will buy a bipod for it.

i finaly got my marauder and the trigger was broken. emailed crossman and they sent me a new one. i took it to my lolcal paintball field and filled it to 3000 but when i tried zeroing it i couldnt get a grouping smaller then 2' at 20yrds and less. i'm not sure what is wrong im useing a center point scope,the one that comes with the super streak, i sorted the pellets and benched the rifle and cant get the grouping done. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
After waxing obtuse on 2 adjustments, the Manual (little pamphlet) tells you how to tune for various velocities by making a 3RD ADJUSTMENT. There is a VALVE METERING SCREW TO adjust with another Alan wrench, after taking off the stock with a 4th Alan wrench.
Unfortunately, the customer hasn't a clue from the manual what to do, except to buy a velocity measuring device & play with 3 adjustments.
Bummer! Why don't they just set it for 3000 lb & fastest velocity at the factory???

I bought a Marauder recently. The manual does NOT show u step by step. The manual is obtuse! The manual does not say for what velocity or pressure the gun is factory preset. The manual speaks about 3 adjustments for power/velocity. It says that higher pressures require MORE hammer energy. It says MORE hammer energy can be got by 1) turning the hammer spring preload adjuster clockwise w/ Alan wrench & by 2) lengthening hammer stroke by turning striker out (counter clockwise) w/ Alan wrench

I ordered it from midway USA and they aren't the best help in air guns. And I haven't been able to get ahold of crossman over the phone. I sent them a email but haven't gotten a response. That's y I'm turning to u guys!
Check out your internet. I would not be surprised to find that someone makes a site that attached to a dovetail rail, which the Marauder has. Of course there are Dovetail rings for scopes. I don't know if any scope ring fits the front of the barrel or if there is a ring that size with a site on it. But there are very cheap scopes that shud be as good as a regular site; prob a little better.

There's got to be a way to drill a hole in the stock to make this hole accessible.
Looks like the regulator might be worth the $100. Can anyone weigh in, who has installed the regulator in a marauder?
