- "Inder Saxena, a money minded man from Delhi, is supposed to supervise a project in Pratapgarh. There he meets his college mate Prakash, his teacher, Professor Daya Shankar Sharma and his daughter Rama. Inder loses his heart to Rama at first sight unaware that Prakash is also in love with Rama. Prakash, who secretly admires Rama tells Inder (Amitabh Bachchan) that she is the kind of girl who can't be lured with the power of money. But, Inder has the perception that women want only money and bets to Prakash that he will lure Rama with his money. Watch who wins the bet and how it affects Rama's life.

Jurmana one of the best hindi film with great starcast. Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Mehra, Rakhee Gulzar, Farida Jalal, Dr. Shreeram Lagoo, A. K. Hangal, Asit Sen, Khesto Mukherjee and Asrani a complete collection of a successful film. Songs were emotional and touching, heavenly music. Thus the best hindi film

A very heart touching movie of that time but was not hit because Amitabh Bachchan was already a super star with his angry young man image. Hrishida a great director. Performances wise everybody was superb. R D Burman all time great music director. I wish some one come with these type of movies again.. miss those golden period...

मैंने ये बेहतरीन फिल्म बार बार देखी है Background music और गाने भी अच्छे है . अमिताभ बच्चन और राखी की chemistry जबरदस्त है . Fantastic romantic pair Amitabh Bachchan and Rakhi , .. विनोद मेहरा ,डॉ श्रीराम लागू और असरानी की acting भी superb है और इस फिल्म का end बहोत अच्छा है

Always liked AB films by Hrishida much more than his other famous films directed by others.
Anand, Namak Haram, Mili, Abhiman, Chupke Chupke, Jurmana Bemisaal and above all AALAP are superb films and have incredible repeat value.
In fact, all Hrishida films are superbbbbb...
Simply Superb .....…....... Many more made on the same script with some modifications

My opinion that it was not the quality of direction that came out of Director HIRISHIKESH Mukerjee. This was a commercial churned out by the Director from who. We can expect much more. The song was the best part of the movie. Lata did her magic with Sawan Ke Jhoole,.
