Regarding randomness - I agree to remove randomness, but then let it be fair, let my class also have at least one grab, let strikers, zerkers and other classes have half of their skills with super armor removed, let my class have an interclass coefficient with them 1 to 1. And then I would look at the players in these classes, and how well they play. Just randomness is what saves you from an unbalanced class that is superior to yours in all aspects.
To touch on the pvp scene from console pov: we have had max numbers in t1 and 2-3 guilds in t2. With only 1 guild dropping on t3. Today though we had a total of 11 guilds on all tiers, so the decline is slowly happening over here as well.
Kinda funny that people have been complaining about geting 60% slows from musa for years and are now complaining that slows have been taken out. Personally I think they should've been a unique mechanic for like one or two specs out of all classes. Awk maehwa and succ nova for example have ice themes, so slows on them would make sense. Same for scholar since she's all about warping physics and gravity. That way if you want to counter super fast/confusing classes like awk nova or hash in guild league or war, you need to include specific classes in your comp.
Stuff like this would make the game so much better but PA doesn't want to think that hard so they instead just add already made content change the skin and call it new,add classes that basically do the exact same as last few new classes just to kill it and never do anything to it,kill PvP so everyone can mindlessly grind PvE(Boring af),and give us shit no one asked for.
i think pve and life skill is ok for now, because most of us are catching up. there is still "content" to be had aka upgrades. some ppl do their tet fallen gods, others finish pen debos. some get those 2k mastery and g50, idk. but what happens if we are done? like you get your full tet armors, quintuple pen debos, oct sovereign... what then? you just keep tapping for the last levels in an endless cycle? I sure like to grind, but tbh, i never hit an almost unclimable wall. i got my 67 pen black star fails, my 55 tet fallen god fails, it is what it is, but i was never: this is gonna take years. the longest ive grinded so far for a single upgrade was 7 months. because i was unlucky. iam not gonna pity nov or dec sovereign, or even think about pen fallen god, let alone shining alchemie stone (dont even have splendid lol). bdo lived a long time of pen gear and later pen accessories. they never had a fast release cycle when it came to gear. if you keep introducing systems that we can finish first month and we all meet at 800GS to hold hands and dance around the fire place, the game will take a hit. i have "finished" and unending grind game before. i had every tech tree plane in war thunder unlocked and upgraded befor super sonic update. it was never the same since then. you just loose interest in the grind. thats actually why i switched to bdo as my main game. but unlike war thunder, bdos game play loop isnt interesting enough that i go grind polly for 10h out of nostalgia. the player retention of bdo in the content low comes from the upgrades. i already have guild members who rather play different games due to hitting certain gear. it could just get worse and worse as more ppl get their hard cap stuff.
the balance changes on Special eva and HP is an indirect nerf to Shai since she could stack HP way over the cap on capped and with all these boosted hp pools her heals are way worse, her hp buff is worse, her defensiveness is not so special anymore and im pretty sure its not all, just a bit ive thought atm
It would be nice to see a podcast that talks to all the issues each class has that PA doesn't address. Example, mystic (and strike *spit*) "please try again" bug.
@@JayScottee I hear you, but it was purely an example. Also, the bug is tied to the shard movement. They could just remove that requirement and make it stamina based just like 80% of classes are currently.

Any player in the unbalanced class will say that with an increase in HP it became better. Because they have become even fatter. In a thin class I get hit much harder in PVE. It became more difficult for me. The worst thing is that for pvp we had to change crystals for damage, because it is now very difficult to break through defensive classes. As a result, there is no survivability or HP. This whole rebalance is a scam to make the meta classes even stronger.
A dialogue surrounding the state of console needs to be started. Even is the three of you don't play console bdo, it is in such an abysmal state and very few creators actually mention it. Console is the middle child, while kr is the youngest and the west is the oldest.
Over 1.5mil crons on average to get DEC? 4.5 trillion silver? 4.5k hours of brainless grinding just to get this without p2w. 1,500 whole costumes at $35 is $52,500/player of potential revenue. No thanks, dumbest decision PA ever made.

PvP in EU is dead. Before the nw rework we would have 80 signups for t2 every single nw and we would cap out siege most of the time. Nowadays our 150 man alliance has trouble capping out t1's. The pvp scene is almost exclusively pve players. AoS is suffering too, gold ranked players are matched against purple ranked players because there's not enough players. The decline of the BDO pvp community needs to be studied.

Also need to realize that BDO's playerbase might be down since another competitor released an expansion a month ago. What they do exactly a month later is release the actual content: savage raids (hardcore/midcore raid scene). Unlike last expansion, these fights are actually fun. Before I left my guild, there were around 7 other players that also play this competitor. What you're taking as a sign of bad design choices (which it can also be) is just also another game having a bigger pull. BDO is a marathon, and when another game is over there waving an ice cold drink and a seat for respite, a lot of players will take it, then continue the marathon later.

I don't know I'd I'm happy or sad that Blue missed the initial week of the changes with Awakening Witch/Wiz. For one week, we were up huge and finally had movement speed, and then last week, they removed it completely. 😂 Kinda wish Blue had seen the week we were buffed so he could realize just how bad we are down now. He missed the one glory week we had in all of BDO history. 😂
I think you guys are exaggerating the no content problem. 90% of the people out there are grinding orc-gyfin. They have thousands upon thousands of hours of content ahead. I think the problem is that pvp should be uncapped all the time. If players got all the gear that they should be able to rip the benefits but i also think that people with 280ap should be able to outplay 320 dp peeps out there if they re that good and how the scale works it just not possible. Make pvp rewards that much better to the point that every single player participates but make the balance between how gear affects pvp too.

The please try again error is a bug that left from the last devs which was never fixed before selling the right of the game.
PA doesn't have the original code to fix it so it's permanent
