Yes, filming and taking photos is not allowed at any time at Air Koryo. Since I was heading for North Korea, I thought I'd better turn it off. I Guess they're afraid passengers might film some military equipment at Pyongyang Airport

They cannot afford more fleet
They’re reappropriated Russian aircrafts. There’s almost no tourism going in or out of N. Korea, for reasons you might expect, so they probably don’t spend on new planes. From what I understand, at least.
