I really am enjoying this business and its great how well the posse members get paid as well. All businesses should get a buff in pay on GTA also for helping people out. One thing that I forgot to mention is that your posse can donate to your camp as well. Make sure to thank people for helping you out if they do this. Does anyone have any questions about the trader?

Still confused about hunting wagon, few players like me still had issue with error rdo / left the session, if i already put 4 carcass and i'm not yet to spawn my horse back after that i left the session so all my carcass it will gone right? If yes, hunting wagon its useless then
When debating whether to sell or not, don't check the players list. Lobbies are always full. Check the posse list. If there are big posses, don't sell solo.

If you get the hunting resupply mission just go straight to the trader. 90% of the time the animal you need to hunt is nearby...

It's weird how those animals become scarce that the trader wants that are usually common. The only sure one I've done is the alligator one. I don't mind that one, but the other ones I roll my eyes at.

Ori0n1975 they lower the spawn rate if the animal you have to hunt is for a daily challenge. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do it for trading.

Nobody talks about the lv 0 to 10 grind on a game full of camp glitches.
The best place to put your camp is the heartlands in New Hanover. Many animals are around so you won't have to travel far. There's a farm nearby with 3 star sheeps and a wheat field with a 3 star ox everytime
Mm, my favorite place is big valley because in that place spawn lots of animals, like deer, bears, cougar, etc

I've got raided twice but not in a while and it was very easy to kill the npcs..crips is a badass gunslinger when you get raided lol

I was taking a shit when I got raided
I got raided about an hour after I returned to camp on a supply mission and found some random player douchebag in my camp and he had shot Cripps. While I got off my horse and took the supply bag off my horse, the random got smart and got on his horse and beat it out of there. I had to pay $4 to revive Cripps. First time it ever happened.
Now that there's businesses in this game like in GTAO, I'm expecting Professional to be doing a road to 1mil$
Rundur i found a glitch a while back and got a mil then i got reset but i got to keep the stuff i bought
For the ammount of boring work you have to do in red dead online to make the money in the trader role is absolutely fucking disgusting, its like working and doing homework in real life, its not even fun, theres something aboot GTA that always keeps me coming back though, the map of red dead redemption while it is the biggest, and the coolest, its just not... it doesnt beg to be absolutely 100% explored, it puts me off when you have such a great game great artist leads animation team everything is there, but you literally have this 1 big giant ass map and theres nothing to do from valentine to tim buck 2 thats worth your goddam time, except maybe start up a PVP match or do that 1 story mission over and over again, to get all 3 "progressive currencies" its called XP GOLD and CASH very few activities in red dead online will feature all 3 "progressive currencies" all at once.
Even with the new bounty hunter/collector and trader roles, the game like got really boring really fast, because you cant really pay cash to enter those roles, you have to pay gold, its not like in GTA online, where you can just pay straight up cash to purchase something, i hate it how they now have gold for every legitimate purchase and honestly that just puts me off from the game even more, if there was an option to transform cash to gold maybe i would have more of an incentive to play the game, but even then the ammount of "heists" or points of interests, or business in the game are too little and when travelling across the world very rarely does something good come your way.
In GTA online everything is more compact, its more of a "familiarity" its a smaller map, but its filled with amazing based of real life points of interests, and it has more exciting events then in red dead online, when GTA online first launched, it launched with more contact missions then all of the pvp/ race/ contact missions on red dead online BETA. People where literally pounding at the rockstar servers when GTA online was launched, but nobody bats an eye when red dead online was launched, it got boring really fast really quick. But i dont know maybe thats just me i shount be writing this much anyways ._.
Red dead redemption 2 i believe in my honest opinion was actually never meant to be as fun or even be an online aspect to it, due to the fact that Red dead redemption 2 was supposed to be a "test the new consoles and see how they handle our advanced engine physics" The team i think focused more then ever on optimizing the game rather then adding more towns, and more weapons and more fun stuff to do, because it was rockstars 1st big release on a next gen console, of course they wanted to get the game looking as best as possible across all platforms rather then add a little bit more trinkets here and there, and you know what it shows, it absolutely shows in every part of the game is just such a dam shame i cant appreciate it for what it is, i tried... i really tried to play it, get into it but its like doing chores, its just too mundane, its... not for me ;,;

In some interviews R* said that they are going to completely change the way you makr money than GTA online. They are going to make you progress from a camp sitter to a industrial farmer/outlaw or whatever just don't start hating the game now it's just beginning to get fun!
Right after I watched this video, I was resting by the fire in my camp, waiting for goods to be made, went to make a sandwich and when I got back I was being raided. Cripps was defending camp and I managed to kill about 6 guys before "passing "the mission. I loled.
It's good to know that if you alone still there will be someone to help you with the raids

when the update came came out I was at a little over $2000 and lvl 60 now after 9 days I'm at 10k and just hit lvl 91just from the collecter and trader. its much easier to make money and level up.

what do you do then when playing. by just brushing and feeding my horse, my honor goes up pretty fast. and if you pick up herbs and hunt you have max honor in no time. and also honor doesnt go down that fast compared to story mode. i can kill everybody in a town, kill cops, escape and my honor will be dropped down for maybe 10 %. i find it difficult to keep my honor low.
Best trader tip: for ranking up - get materials and do a delevery off 1 good. Then rinse and repeat.
Making money - play with a friend and help each other stock up on materials and do the deliveries. If you have a large wagon on distance delivery you will make $625, you're friend will make $312.50. If you both have a large wagon then you will be making $937.50 off the back and forth rinse and repeat strategy.
1 good takes 2 minutes, so 100 goods take 200 minutes (or 3 hours 20 minutes). If you factor in the supply missions that pop up every so often it'll most likely be around the 4 hour mark to complete a full load. Keep in mind that if you are in a friends posse helping them, your goods will not be producing.
Its easy to find people to do this with as most of the people in red dead right now are also grinding and arent dickheads like the GTA players are. Make some friends and try this out!

The easiest way to do these deliveries is to just throw it in cinematic and hold X the wagon follows the GPS trail just like your horse does.

ADD PERMANENT GANGS INTO ONLINE!
we can't remove posses since they're too important in online now due to the trafer role but we could still add gangs and hideouts.
These gangs could function like heist rooms in gta allowing us to launch all our outlaw related activitys from one spot. IE let us chose what type of robbery (Train,Bank,House) and how we want to do it (Loud,Quiet) from the gang hideout. We would launch any setup missions here too. all done from freemode.
we could also have a level up system for the gang.
Remember the stash of money Dutch hid from the camp in single player? Half of all money earned would go there? add this into online. make it so:

the higher the level the camp =
new upgrades we can purchase from the camp ledger.
The money in the camp stash won't actually be able to be useable as it's only function is to determine the level of the camp

They need to add fortifications like wood works and barricades to the camp and possibly a large camp at a local fort it you pay a bit more.

I’m always max honor and I’ve done more stealing mission than hunting mission. So that’s not necessarily true
Today Cripps made a comment to me about “good honest work, just how I like it” I have high honor.
I was minding my trader business today, I had spent my whole night hunting and getting that bar filled up I was happy cause I would finally start cashing in, then when I started the sale, not even mid way a gang of 5 people... 5 PEOPLE pulled up on me and stole my wagon, I think ill stick to story mode

That’s why I always do a local sale.
If something like this ever happens again, leave the session immediately. And start the sell again, this doesn’t tend to happen often, so you should be fine to start another sell again. I’d also recommend finding people to help you sell. I usually just message someone in the lobby, (preferably high level) and most time they say yes. If you ever want anyone to help you sell, I’m always here.

I've been raided, i was solo and it was kinda like the random encounter camp protection, just a few waves. It may be dynamic to the posse size, though.

just read it in your satchel like a pamphlet. It wasn't hard to deal with for me. Cripps and the dog didn't even have to help.

Were you in Offensive mode ? I heard raids are related to that and do not happen while you are in Deffensive
Maybe, it was like the third day, I can't remember.
I was in defensive mode and I was hunting semi-far from camp and it was at Blackwater area. And I absolutely got obliterated by the other player. There was two and I was solo. So I just left, killing other players isn’t my thing.
When you get raided, your can dog will find you wherever you are in the map. Following him back to take out the raiders
I've been raided once. There will be enemies spawning (not that many) trying to take your goods with them

honor doesnt affect resupply missions, location does. i havent moved my camp from the bayou, i have full honor and always get the supply bag missions that sometimes involve stealing from rhodes or saint dennis general store and get me and my posse thats sweet xp
I find and kill a three stars cougar. The next thing I see is a three star deer which I also kill and lasso. Time to tell Cripps to pitch my camp. He doesn't. I try again. He doesn't. Again. Again. Again. The menu starts saying that I don't have enough money to pitch my camp despite the fact I have 3140$. Error 0x20010006 happens. The game disconects. I lose both carcasses. I do a bounty hunter mission. Hand over the guy alive. I get 0,2 gold. No exp, no bountyhunter exp and no money. I turn off Bug Dead Online and start playing Hitman 2.
Gaptooth Ridge is great for setting camp bc if you choose long distance delivery, you'll just have to cross New Austin, you won't have to get out of the state, it's just one vast flat expanse with full visibility, no curves and no water, not to mention it's the most empty region in terms of player activity, the only negative side is that animals in New Austin are pretty much never perfect, but this can be overcome with the hunting wagon
The second best place is near Flatneck Station in the Heartlands, the animals are usually perfect, it's near a pig farm with up to 3 perfect pigs at a time, and long distance deliveries will take you across New Hanover, which is also one single vast and mostly flat state, the only problem comes with the destination, which can be set to Van Horn, which always has a lot of treacherous players, or to Annesburgh, which is surrounded by rocks, trees and deep rivers, as Roanoke Ridge has a very rugged terrain, unlike the Heartlands, which can destroy the wagon
high honor resupply missions also find you helping homesteaders and the like. helpful video pro
I'm a Distinguished trader & I prefer the hunting missions cause you get 3 timez as many units. & I use a bow for more perfect pelts & carcasses also all of my rifles have split point roundz 4 more accuracy. I can have my hunting wagon filled in minutes! Thanx for the content bro.
Hey Pro, I finally found something I disagree with you. I think Heartlands is the best spot to set your camp and hunt. Plenty of deers and rabbits and they have a great value. Plus, it's a plain so it's easy to move, track and the animals have nowhere to run. Get 1 deer and 2 rabbits, get back to camp and repeat, 2-3 min stuff, I don't even feel the need for the wagon and Cripps never stops producing. Make sure to try it later because it's worth it! Keep the great job dude!

Btw if you don’t have enough room on your horse for an extra carcass you use your lasso to drag it. It won’t ruin the quality of it also

If you are on a sale mission and the sellers are getting attacked, do not let them die!! You will lose your entire supply. I lost a full large wagon because the sellers ran out in the middle of a god damn firefight and got themselves killed. Wagon was fully intact and was never damaged.

Just a tip if you have a stealing mission the turkeys usually spawn near your camp if its in the grizzlies or heartlands and if you get the pronghorn you can go to the lake south of valentine on the northern shore of the lake. Also an irrelevant tip if your on a wagon and you have a destination set (a marker or mission) if you aim your gun while your wagon is at full speed the wagon will follow the destination automatically without you controlling it so if theres enemies chasing you on horse you can shoot back without worrying about driving
I've got raided once, I was near my camp when I got the message about the raid. When I went to my camp, enemies were just running to a package on my camp I had to defend. It was very easy, Cripps helped with the shooting too. Cripps Love
I got raided once while I was just coming back to my camp. A message popped up saying my camp was being attacked. I got there and found a bag from my business on the ground, around 15 meters of my camp. 10 guys (approximately) spawned on foot and I killed them pretty easy. After that, I only had to grab the bag I mentioned before and bring it to the camp. I was solo by the way
Update for any new players seeing this guide: The high honour has changed so that they also add protection missions where you protect someone from bandits and they then give you the materials.
Is this better to do then the lower honour missions?

Trader tip; hunting legendary animals saves lots of time instead of hunting normal animals a perfect bison could give 5-6 units while a legendary payta bison gives 25-40 units doing harriets missions is better than finding legends out in the wild so that’s a better way if ya already have killed the legendary animal kill it again and get ALOT of points so I just kill 3 animals A DAY from doing the legendary animal missions so that’s a nice tip for yall

If you don't have a hunting wagon you can carry two carcases on your horse is you stow one and lasso the other it will not degrade the value either
9:35 i have max high honor and of the 20 some resupply missions i have done only 1 time i had a hunting mission, the rest have been steal supply missions.
*Wagon tip:* Instead of spamming [X]/[A] during your entire journey, you only have to spam [X]/[A] until you get to max speed, then simply hold down [X]/[A] and you will maintain your max speed. Try it yourselves, sure keeps your finger from being fatigued.
They just care of making profit,i cant imagine being a horse being hit over and over again.
You can also get to max speed and aim a weapon and it will follow the road at full speed by itself

Ricardo Estévez I cringe when I see games and movies do the whipping of the reins on the horses. It does nothing. In real life the only thing you need to do a aggressive kick on the horses sides with the heels of your feet on the stirrups and do a simple voice command. Coming from someone in the horse riding community.
TheProfessional says you should keep an eye on how many people are in the lobby for long distance deliveries.
The amount of people isnt that important. Just keep an eye on the amount of large posse's because if you need to deal with large posse's youre in an more dangerous spot than defending your goods against solo players
Raids are very rare, however I’ve been raided twice. You get alerted that your camp will be raided and you have to go there. Upon arrival, Cripps was hogtied and a large pelt is spawned in. You have to stop a few waves of enemies from grabbing the pelt and running away with it
Until level 10, you’re going to be limited 😂

I have done this when the wagon was stollen by aa posse and when the wagon broke.

When getting the hunting supply mission, as soon as it starts look in the top left corner of the screen. The game will tell you exactly where to go. When you’re there the animal you’re looking for will spawn over and over. It makes it super easy!
oh one last warning ALWAYS BUY A DOG to avoid raids
Do you still get raided even if you have the dog? Thats the issue I had in GTA Online where even if I buy the security upgraded I still get raided.

No they will warn you someone is stealing your supplies but they can gain dishonor i believe if they murder your dog but i aint sure on that one they can slow the thief down however like bloodhound bounty hunters on story mode

I don't know whether it was luck or what but every time I've had to do one of those hunt and animal for a trader there's been the animal required near the trader you have to deliver it to.
My favourite hunting ground and camp is in big valley, cause animals there are abundant and what's better is that your camp will only as far as a few miles away, just a few walk carrying animal carcasess, player activity also seems low here although ambarino is far lower, and lastly cause the terrain is much more comfortable for wagon and there are plenty of road there
This would be fun if I actually had friends to do this.

Yesterday this happened to me
8 hours to earn $187 wasted
I got raided once the second day of the update before I even had a dog in my camp.
I basically donated some rabbits to Cripps and then rode about 50-60m away from the camp to find some more and I got a notification saying "bandits raised your camp and have stolen 20 goods".
I have literally max honor and I’ve only had to hunt once
(Only done 8 re-supplies)
If you have bought the camp dog it will run to you barking if you get raided. Basically like any other dog dynamic event. If you go to it you can teleport to your camp to defend your goods. Also if you break the wagon the number of bags depends on how many goods you had, not the number of posse members.
Notice how it took them all summer to drop this dlc and we have game braking bugs daily challenges getting reset for no reason other then beating them. Bounty missions not paying after completion. And on top of that the hunting wagon and bounty wagon don’t spawn! Goof job rockstar ! 👏 to bad it’s not a money glitch or else it would’ve been fixed by now !
My daily challenge streak was reset (I was only at 8 days), so I reported it to R* and they gave me 50 gold. Not bad! Report it if you get reset, it is worth it.
What irks me the most is not getting XP after completing a bounty half the time.

Great video, just a follow-up, the begging stages of my Trader role I was out getting supplies when I got raided. Was unable to get back fast enough, so they took 40% has not happened since, but wasn't to happy with that outcome

a bonus of doing your lasso and stab method is that if you are a naturalist you can kill animals this way without annoying harriet
Funnily enough i was raided today. Only had 57 goods though, it teleported me to me camp and i had to fight off around a dozen enemies, it was extremely easy and i seriously wouldn’t worry about being raided especially since it teleports you to your camp. (i don’t have the dog yet btw )

This might be a bit late but if you have a camp really close to emeralds ranch it is very easy to get supplies.Your best off getting a camp next to the lake or next to the railroad but emeralds ranch.You want to gut the animals at the barn at night.
You can hold “down” on the D pad and expand the map instead of just spamming it 🙂 it’s pretty useful/helpful
Posse up with a buddy who is also trader. Both max out camp goods. Posse leader start a delivery. The instant it says mission passed, alt f4. All posse members will get full delivery reward cash included. But posse leader will not, and goods will stay 100/100. Can repeat this as many times as you want. But make sure you have a buddy that will return the favor ;)
I've got a question - I just did a sales run with 100/100 goods, value set at about 500 bucks. I did the local delivery and was paid 98 dollars. How come?

Diamond gaming if you have high honor you will get the steal missions and the hunting missions, if you have low honor you will only get the steal missions.
Great guide. The best tip was selling from Gaptooth Ridge. Another #1 tip. Load into your lobby in Lemoyne then fast travel to your camp in Gaptooth Ridge. R* loads you into the lobby near other players when first loading in.
I got a better way instead of dragging your carcasses, steal another horse with a sattle and then press L2 On ps4 then triangle so your hourse will follow you, you'll be able to stow the carcasses and 2 small animals simple and easy.

Havent been raided yet but i did get an npc visitor while camped in cholla springs. This guy, almost naked was there sitting on the ground and asked if i could spare food or drink or something. I gave him some and he thanked me and walked away. He reminded me of the sun worshipper from single player.

If you get a 'hunt a turkey' resupply mission, just go straight to Scarlet Meadows, it's full of turkeys in the woods there

I just got into this game hardcore after not playing for like a year after beating RDR2 story mode. I went from L2 or L3 I think to L100 in about 3 weeks. Bounty Hunter L30, Collector L20, Moonshiner L10 or so and Trader L15. Naturalist is like L4 I think. And now I am burnt out. I will probably come back in like a year.

I am level 8 and have been raised only once. It was very much like the camp raids you can help out in defending as dynamic events in free roam.
I was close and got over in time to fight them off. Cripps draws down and shoots back as well, which was cool to see.
I was raided only once. My camp dog came and warned be while I was out on the trail, showing him as an event on my mini map. I started riding to my camp quickly thinking I wouldn’t make it in time, but then I was notified to hold triangle to return to camp. I probably killed 10 to 15 NPCs. One tried to run off with a bag on his shoulder labeled ‘Goods’. I brought the bag back and finished them off. It was easy.

Having your hunting wagon with you 24/7 could be useful for multi-classing with the collector role. As I ride all over hell's half acre looking for shit to sell to Madam Nazar, I also hunt opportunistically. I find myself wishing I could carry more than one large carcass and two medium carcasses. I should be able to afford the meatwagon here in a day or two and the ability to carry up to 5 three-star carcasses and a fuckload of pelts sounds like a great way to maximize my profits from working both ventures.
Honestly I'm a solo and I've had issue with griefers everyday. I'm afraid to even get the wagon because players who are already bored with update are lashing out. I finished collector in 4 days. And I'd be way up in bounty hunter but I was getting cut away almost everytime and not getting my role xp. I just wanna get to 20 on trader n be done with it. I'll probably enjoy doing bounty hunter once glitch is fixed. I need a posse to go bigger wagon. VictoryAnime ps4 level 107.
Day camp has been raided once. I don’t even remember exactly how many goods I had at the time, but not quite full. Anyway, I came back and saw some people stealing stuff in my camp without any notification (maybe because I was nearly there already). Killing them was easy and I saved my stuff. No problem there.
If you want to make money as a Trader then be a Collector....
That’s not the point
You should find the nearest rail line to you and see if it runs directly to the drop off point. If it does, go straight down the track because most of the drop offs are at a railway station. The only risk is a train at the massive bridge (Bacchus bridge I believe) but I’ve never encountered a train on there. The only other issue that could cause a problem is that if you’re on a railroad, when you aim your weapon the wagon won’t auto steer like it does on a road. It’s only a problem doing long distance deliveries when others can attack you though. Because the short delivery missions you basically enter a solo lobby. There are no other players in your lobby whilst doing a short delivery mission.
