Bronx Zoo

A day at the The Bronx Zoo is one of the more memorable experiences of New York. Located in the Bronx and easily accessible by car, bus, or bike the zoo has been in operation since the late 1800's. The Bronx River flows through the grounds and provides hints of what the natural landscape of the Bronx may have been like before the settling of the countryside. And then, of course, there are the animals. While the zoo does not allow cycling inside the park, you may lock your bike at several entry locations and tour by foot. Not to be missed!
