Really interesting Easter egg I noticed about the radio transmissions at the end
I was a radio operator in the USMC a while back, and “Echo 5 Juliet” or “Echo 3 Romeo” are actual radio call signs you would use when you get on the radio and you don’t have your own callsign
Echo = enlisted
5 = pay grade: E-5 (sergeant)
Juliet = first letter of last name
Echo 3 Romeo would be an enlisted e-3 Lance corporal who’s last name starts with R
Pretty neat, I’ll go back through the radio shit in the clip bc if that was cool
Edit: what you nail the most with these animations is the cautious awkwardness of dudes in combat who keep ducking down and peeking over cover so they can bring their weapon up for a bit to crack off some hasty rounds before ducking back under bc every round fired in your direction sounds and feels like it’s about to hit you
Replying to your edit, I felt the exact same way about the way they move. They looked pretty fuckin real, sometimes too real. Excellent short film.

@@Luka2000_ It's completely inaccurate in its portrayal of Vasily Zaitsev's career and its portrayal of the battle of Stalingrad. it gets so many things wrong while selling a narrative that the soviets were monsters and threw wave after wave of unarmed conscripts at the Germans and thats how they won... Also, the main plot is obejctively trash and completely fiction.

But bro i cant believe i was actually right on the all quiet on the western front one, it just looked so similar
This is just Perfect half life 1 animation. but I would just like to pay attention to the detail of how the zombie drags the drip behind him. this only proves how hecu soldiers completely did not know how to deal with headcrabs and did not know yet that it was too late for that soldier but they continued to try to help, even by connecting a drip, that's sick detail.

The way you so dilligently and specifically display the better untold stories of the Half-Life universe, and furthermore shine a spotlight on the absolute majesty that is Black Mesa, is on a level up there with some of the absolute GOATs in my opinion. Artists like TheParryGod, Komegatze, the real OGs. Honestly I wish they would release sorta director's cut stuff like this as well, and I hope you continue to.

I loved all the radio transmissions . The LZ sparrow was my favorite . Them requesting backup through the radio and then you come across the LZ making the final stand before being overrun.

No lie I would love to see a short in depth tutorial on how exactly animating like this in Garry's Mod works. It's so smooth and life like and just quality. I'm familiar with many addons that help with animating but I've never seen anything like this nor have I ever been able to replicate anything of this quality.
