This boss reminds me of Weldar from Banjo-Tooie,you both have to beat them in a huge factory

As a kid I never thought of moving the camera up.. I defeated him after a loooong time practicing. Playing like this is a lot easier but this boss is still so hard to get!

This boss used to be so annoying.
And then I realized you can just jump back and forth between the same two platforms until he decides to stop jumping around.
Yeah, the only problem is that you have to be very fast and not let the camera mess you up. Lol
There’s also the fact that you have to count how many times Mad Jack has jumped.

What’s really strange is that this boss can be skipped over until late in the game, while Mad Jack is technically the fourth boss, the key doesn’t cause any quakes needed to get to another level
That’s right. Believe it or not, it is actually possible to get all the other boss keys before this one, meaning you can go all the way to King K. Rool’s throne room at the end of Hideout Helm without it. So you can actually have all of the other 7 keys cashed in with the Blast-O-Matic disabled. However, even after cashing in Key #8, K. Lumsy will still be stuck, so you will need to return to the factory and beat Mad Jack for Key #3 to open the cage. Only then do you get the ensuing cutscene where he trips and swats down King K. Rool after chasing him around the island.
I can't even remember how I beat this boss when I was a kid... but I definitely remember having nightmares of this thing.
I feel you on those nightmares! I hated playing this boss by myself in a dark room. I have no idea how I passed it, but I did and I was 6 at the time. I remember being the hardest boss to beat. never completed the final boss though.

Mad Jack is actually my favorite Donkey Kong 64 villain Character he needs to be in more Donkey Kong games. While having his same design but with some differences like more scary looking.
I thought this boss, along with the King K. Rool, were some of the most creative bosses that Rare ever designed. Seriously.
This boss was so hard for me growing up, but then I managed to practice, and find a strategy. Now he is one of the easiest bosses in the game :)
The hardest one for me, even to this day, is Puftoss (Gloomy Galleon boss).

This boss, if you faced them in the intended order, was actually the first to change up the attack pattern.
Undoubtedly, Weldar looks much harder than Jack, but Jack is definitely scarier.

Fuck. I remember playing this as a kid at night and this boss was so intimidating and scary that it took me months to try to get the courage to beat him. And the game I did beat him in, I was frantically running from one place to the next scared shitless not sure what the heck to do. Watching this video makes me feel stupid as fuck LOL

I can't believe this is only the 3rd level boss and the tutorial rated it 8/10 for hardness.
it actually doesn't look too hard watching a professional do it, but i'm sure it will get tedious after a while.
all that flying around would be hard one the hands. i remember my thumbs getting sore from holding the joy stick after playing donkey kong too much ..

I always wanted a jack in the box like this one so bad when I was little.. Though I remember he looked different when I was little. He looks so different now!
Yet Weldar can only accomplish tiny hops, while Jack LEAPS and BOUNDS gracefully across the arena! Even with Weldar's ability to suck people in, shoot fire and those nut and bolt guys, Jack would avoid them, easy as pie.

It took me a year to beat this boss because about 9 years ago I only played this game during the summer because it was my cousins so by the time I got to him at the end of summer I couldn't beat him so I had to wait until the following summer to fight him again and it still took me another month to do so (too many Mario Party 2 Battles with family).
What disturbed me the most about Mad Jack is his manic laugh, reminds name of the Joker but scarier... I love the soundtrack frop
Mad jack it's mad because he feel that nobody likes him that's why he is very mad he will also have friends like anybody else! I feel sorry for Mad jack poor poor mad jack 😔😔😔😔😔❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣❣ tiny had to beat him because it was her job to do it not because she want it. It was a deal with the game!

After you get back on the platforms the first time, watch Jack closely. His geometry appears to be messing up; this is most noticeable if you pass the video at 2:50 at just the right point. Plus, look at his snout at 5:30.
This guy made no sense to me at all as a then 10 year old and was quite the challenge and a step up from the two previous bosses before him. I enjoyed facing him and he's my favorite boss on the game ❤

When he turns invisible you can actually ignore the camera controls and simply rely on the acoustics to figure out where the thing is in its jumping pattern. Takes a bit of practice, but try it.
When I was little this scared me half to death.
tip for both you and the guy that made this try and go diagonal it helps that and match the color he is standing on to the one ur hitting

It´s impossible in the american version, the maximum that you can have are 3 watermelons, you start the game with a single watermelon and Candy sells you the other two in two different levels.

The screen...it's...it's so...bright...and...clear! I...I can see things I never saw before on other users' vids of the boss! I thought the backgroung was just complete darkness! And the overhead view! Wow! Nobody's ever done that! This looks TERRIFFIC!

After watching this video I went to challenge that boss with only three melons only lost half of one and beat it under three minutes I was shocked I didn't think I could beat it that quick The boss had to work hard to get to me because I would go crossways to the next pillar.

Just stay calm, it doesn't look THAT bad. Just try to avoid his attacks and move as fast as you can. That's the key.
