    Hi everyone. An update on the 57 Film Collection: If anyone is interested in buying this (and can afford it, because good lord with those prices), the Blu-Rays included in this set are Region Free and will play in any system that accepts BD discs. I can't speak for the 5 DVDs included in the set, but the rest of the set is fine... That being said, I was thinking back to when I bought this set, and I could swear on my life that I saw an American version that includes Dinosaur and Winnie the Pooh from 2011. I scoured Google, Amazon and eBay incredibly thoroughly, and I couldn't find it again. All I found were imports of the UK release that has The Wild.
    Also on a side note, and I can't believe I missed this in the review. There's actually a duplicate in this set. "Adventures Of Ichabod" and "Fun and Fancy Free" may look like they have their own individual discs, but they're actually paired on two identical discs in the set, and I believe they're both Blu-Ray. I have no idea why, it was probably to compensate for the lack of Dinosaur and Pooh and keep the film count at 57 for packaging convenience. I don't know. Don't quote me on that.
    So yeah, if you're after this collection, but all you can find are imports and nothing in Region 1/A/whatever, not to worry, all the important films should be playable in you non-UK players 😃

      The Rescuers (1977) is also repeated on this set spreading out on two discs: one disc contains the original film by itself with some bonus features, the second disc including "The Rescuers Down Under" (1990) as a "bonus" movie and also including the same bonus features as the earlier disc I mentioned.

    Whoa! Talk about an ambitious project! 😮

      Exactly. It's insane that something like this would be available on the market. If I were to seriously review everything here, I'd probably have to set aside at least an hour or two, and I ain't that crazy 🤣

      Probably at some point. They both aired on Disney Channel at various points, so chances are I saw bits of them...

      @Gondarth  Před rokem +1

      See, I could swear it is available in the US, hence me specifically mentioning the UK version when talking about the missing films. It might just be the other 55 Film release from 2018, but I am as sure as sure can be that there is an American version, this one actually having Dinosaur and maybe Winnie The Pooh...

      @@Gondarth there has to be a US set. Why wouldn't there be?

      I remember when I found this set. I could swear on my life that I saw the back of one of the releases having Dinosaur in the list of included movies.... Well, positive side if there isn't actually a US set: Apparently the discs in this collection are region free. It's a hell of a risk though, especially since 5 films are on DVD, but the Blu-Rays are at least region free.

      @@Gondarth Well if the discs are Region Free (yes there is such a thing) wouldn't that not mean that you could have sets all over the world? Disney as we all know is popular internationally so why not have region free discs you could play anywhere?

  • @everythingproductions2004

    I wish I could buy it, but it's too expensive. And yeah, reviewing every single movie would definitely take a long time! By the way, for me, when it comes to Disney, I've only seen around 16 of the classics, and 2 sequels. My favorite classic is Oliver and Company and my favorite sequel is The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea.

    • @Gondarth
      @Gondarth  Před rokem +1

      Oliver and Company is a pretty good movie. It's probably the most 80s film they ever made. Very rock n roll... Little Mermaid 2 is also a film 🤣
      It's easily worth the money, but you have to make that leap. For the price I paid, I got lucky, and if anything, I underpaid. If you can live without Dinosaur or Winnie the Pooh 2011, it's a terrific pack.

      @@Gondarth From what you said, I'm guessing you don't like The Little Mermaid 2? Oh well, I respect your opinion. At least you like Oliver and Company, because I think it's the most underrated Disney classic ever.
