This came at the perfect time. My hubs surprised me with a silhouette, Saturday. I still haven’t figured out how to load the blades. Let alone uses it, lol. Plez plez plez do a silhouette series! That would b amazing! 😃
I was in your boat about 6 yrs ago when I got my cameo. There was definately a learning curve. I was 75 then and finally learned how to use from watching what seemed like hundreds of CZcams videos. There is also Silhouette School which has many tuts. Took me several months to learn, but then again, I'm old woman$\

dont mean to post on an old vid but your vid had great tips thanks, i will look into that ratchet style blade currently having lifting problems with auto blade with oramask 813
you never changed the material you were cutting in the setting does that not make a difference it stayed on card stock

I'm a pastry chef and I just got my first Silhouette Cameo (3). I'd like to make some stencils that will be use primarily in chocolate work. I need to cut material that is 1 to 2 millimeter thick (.03 to .07 in). It needs to be plastic, silicone or rubber type material. Could you please recommend a material and cut settings that would fit this purpose? Thank you! I'm loving your videos!

I'm new at making custom shirts. I have the cameo 4, inkjet printer, heat press ect. I'm all set to go, but I'm trying to figure out how to use the cameo to cut out the design from the heat transfer paper. But I'm stock....lol...any advice on how i do that?
I need coaching on using my silhouette...Especially on making stencils bigger than the mat or wider than 12 inches. Also on how to make a phrase curve. I'm a dinosaur, and would appreciate any tips at all. 😇. Also tips on moving all the designs to cloud storage if that is possible. Thanks for all your help.
I've used V3 of Cameo for about 6 years and am familiar with it. Now my sight is extremely bad and have been afraid to get V4 because I might not be able to learn where the new setting are. I would like to see a tutorial on the new version. Maybe I can see if I can follow it well enough to change. You are the best. By the way, I'm 80 yrs old and should probably stop trying to use the cameo at all...but I just can't bring myself to give it up.

I do have a question do you use a mat? I have problems with the stencil material lighting off the backing whether I use a mat or not?

I rarely use a mat. Try these cut settings and no mat and see if that helps.

I just found and LOVE your tutorials! I use a Cameo 3 for scrapbooking and wonder if I can use the Cameo 3 to label the front and spine of my Creative Memories scrapbooks. There must be a way, but I don't know where to start. Can you do a tutorial or give suggestions?
I cannot figure out how to get the knife to cut the vinyl. The knife blade nowhere comes near to the vinyl - I have figured out other areas - thanks to the wonderful CZcams sessions. Any help or direction would be nice
Archive settings for cutting so I can pick the setting worked for selected material
I'm new to all this is the auto blade a normal blade as long as I don't set it to auto or do I need to buy another blade. My 4 only came with an auto blade I believe.

Have you used siser brick 600 if so what settings? I am very new and have the auto-blade which is never consistent, I'm thinking of buying the ratchet blade instead.

What setting do you use for Neenah 80 lb cardstock and 100 lb.
I have had good luck with these settings when using the mat but not when feeding the roll through for longer cuts. It either cuts through the backing or doesn't cut all of the way through the contract paper layer. Suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Hello, I just got my Cameo 4 and really new at this cutting stuff lol. I curious if these setting are good still today. I am not sure I am doing it right, but I dont think my vinyl is cutting and weeding right. Using the auto blade and gonna attempt to change the depth to help things along. Thanks

@@chrisgonzalez4309 I am using the auto blade and I use 1 depth, 20 force and 7 speed. Unfortunately it seems different for each machine and material. I have only been cutting 651 vinyl.
@@RonWaller okay I figured it out man! It was the 631 that was the issue. So I used the 651 today for a lenghty message and worked for me perfect! Perfect cut and weed!
@@RonWaller that force is way to high to cut vinyl man in the first place! My settings that worked for me is; " Auto Blade "

So I am using Cameo 4 with Autoblade and it refuses to penetrate permanent outdoor vinyl -- no matter what the settings are changed to. Is the "ratchet blade" another blade? Reason I ask is because (I'm still pretty ignorant) I do not see a "ratchet blade" for sale for Cameo 4.
I'm really not sure with the Cameo 4, I think mine is a 3. It may still work for it though? I always use depth at 3

I have the Cameo 4 and just upgraded to the Business version and am having issues with the software locking up and the setting changing. What I used before with the basic cut HTV nicely now the setting and either not cutting the HTV or they are cutting through to the mat. The force defaults too 33 which seems a bit high for HTV

What are the settings for cardstock. I can’t seem to get a good cut. You mentioned changing your blade to a ratchet blade should I do that as well?
what do you use for HTV. After wasting 4 rolls of HTV everyday iron on my machine is not cutting completely through. I have cut with a deeper blade setting even and it doesn't cut through. What in the world am i doing wrong? I have no problems with regular oracle vinyls.

OKAY so I took your advice and went ahead to but the ratchet blade. I used it on the given settings. Lowered the speed, even the blade # and still not cutting through. Please help, I've already waste a whole 5ft roll.🤦🏻♂️ I need help idk what I'm doing wrong...

Hello! Tool 2 how do you activate it or switch to blade 2 i have tried several things and no matter what i do blade 1 starts cutting, is blade two just a holder for a blade ?

Do you ever use your cameo to cut cardstock? I've been having a hard time cutting srcipt from cardstock for card making and scrapbooking!
Try offsetting it a little.
Can I ask something mam? I can't use my cameo at this time, I need to troubleshoot because I can't send the file. It appears Unavailable and when I connect the cord it's syncing and nothing appears. I can't seem to find my right settings. If I go 10, my vinyl tears when it cuts. But if I go around 2 or 3, it doesn't cut all the way through. I'm adjusting a bit at a time trying to find what works but running thru material like crazy
Anytime I'm trying a new thing I cut a small star over and over. A star has enough direction changes to see corners and sides but doing it small you don't waste much of it goes wrong

Can you help ...I been wasting vinyl like crazy.. I watch a lot of video for setting cut, but still no progress..for new user for siser HTV and glitter setting cut? I put it on auto blade as many refer too and blade 6 ,speed 10, force 16....or I try blade 6, auto blade,speed 10 force 16 ( no effort ) . I got so frustrated that I give up and run out of vinyl...and some of the setting cut will cut my cutting mat...or cut through the vinyl...lolll....please help..thank you
