I know it wasn't a particularly high scoring affair, but what a brilliant rugby match! Two great sides going at it.
The best games aren't very high coring IMO - 35 vs 33 there's too much scoring to build the very highest of tensions
The tv doesnt how awful the weather was either
Ben Phipps arguably best game of the round
Can we all agree that rugby gets better with some players sinbinned :) Also I have to say Potter is magic otherwise my dad license will get revoked.
What license
Make the most of the crowd and that roar George, certainly won’t get that at Sale😂
Yeah he won't get that, he'll get way more!
@@ben_l5347 i'm praying we might see sale play at old trafford or the etihad, one day in the future..
l old trafford good luck ur not infecting Manchester United
@@nay8991 yea go ethaid they might have a chance
Still not have gotten used to the fact that Tigers have a player called Harry Potter 🤣
He's magic 🤭
neither are we lmao
@@potatowaffle5653 no, he's an effing wizard!
Sad that the handoff of Smith is in the title screen but not the video, very sad.
THANKS SO MUCH!!
The real highlight of the match was Young's hand off on Smith, but that seems to of hit the floor in the editing room!
Can’t be showing the golden boy being handed off can they 🤣
@@benevz91 ruins the 'spotless' image
It got quite a cheer in the stadium, as did his yellow!
It was the thumbnail
@@newspaper9949 click bait or what…
What a game !
Thanks
Fantastic game
4:42 is a seatbelt tackle if ever I saw one. Quins unlucky here
i love huw but christ you cant be playing prem and not holding ball in two hands when he has two lads in open space, he got greedy .Also his body height was lowering thats probably why the tackle wasnt called
Seat belt tackles are ok as long as head contact is not made it was an amendment to the way they ref this year. Just shows how much these reds and yellows have changed the way the game is played that we are only just talking about it in round 10
Seatbelt tackle or not, talk about blowing a 3-on-1. Didn’t deserve to score, greedy bar steward.
youre allowed ti seatbelt tackle lmao
@@battlevgaming9887 I didn’t kkow
Don't you just love the game!
Yellow card for tigers was an issue for me, yes ok no arms used but as the Quins guy ducked so low (leading with the head) he had to lay on the turf to avoid getting a red for hitting in the head! Come on, this is getting crazy
To the letter of the law it is a yellow card, but I have to agree with you. Players are being encouraged to lower their tackling height to avoid head collisions. Wiese went low but the angle that the Harlequins player ran in made it nearly impossible for him to rap his arms around, though admittedly Wiese could have timed his hit better. Anyone who has played rugby will tell you how difficult that tackle is to execute though.
I think the yellow was too much, the safety of the player was not discussed, just a penalty would have been ok.
Is that pass at 4:51 forward? Recipient is in front.
Fantastic rugby.
it truly was.
Genge loses quite a lot of ball when he goes on solo runs in the 22. In his mind he must think he's Jonah - but he's so preoccupied with leg drive he forgets about holding on to the ball.
The ball was like soap by the second half to be fair
Once again Tempest steals the show
He's a dreadful referee, touch judge and TMO.
Great pass Jones 🥴🥴
Dan "the penalty machine" Cole doing his best for Quins again, as he does for every opponent.
Cry more
Yet somehow they keep picking him even though he is 73... Must be something about his game then.
Cole has been amazing this season.
@@arwy30ba Cole's amazing most seasons, it amazing how the people who cry "penalty machine" seem to miss that.
I know Lynaghs try after makes it a bit irrelevant but Potters try saving tackle on Hew Jones was clearly high. Which means a yellow card and a penalty try. Would have been nice if Jones just passed it to either of the lads outside him that had easy run ins but still.
its a slight seatbelt tackle, refs have been leniant with them this season. no penalty try or yellow card. play on
Is it just my idea or that holding tackle was high? The Leicester player simply hooked the neck of the Harlequin...
Tigers on a roll, Wiese and van staden have added some mongrel to the pack.
Wiese's great but he's a card waiting to happen every game. It'll cost us at some point.
Huw Jones effectively cost Harlequins the game. He absolutely butchered an overlap by going for glory himself.
If you want to get technical, it probably could've been a penalty try with that high tackle on him
Unfair to say that because you have no clue what would happen if he did score that try. Leicster could have gone on to score 5 more tries for all you know. Mistake yes but what you said is unfair. He's a great player and exited to see more from him.
Moronic take. It was at the end of the first half. Tigers were far better throughout the second period. Jones blew it, but no more than Lynagh when he allowed us in with his shocking defending, or Murley when he failed to kick on or pass out wide with ball in hand.
Tigers would still have had the edge even with Quins scoring. Quins had no answer to Ford's bombs, and Youngs and Ford showed how far ahead of Smith and Care they both are.
@@arthurwestcott5437 Not sure what game you watched, but it wasn't the close game I did. Ford is class, but Youngs?! He had his one good game in 5, next week he will have a shocker. Standard BY. For the record, I'm a neutral and like both teams, but there's no way Leicester were 'far better'.
@@ben_l5347 Wasn't a high tackle though, no contact with the head. Seatbelt tackle it definitely was, but they're not automatically a penalty any more.
Why does the Harlequins kit look like a used sanitary pad?
So, do we think it should've been a penalty try for quins?
For the seatbelt tackle? On the contrary, I think it should be a pint of Redeye after the game for blowing a 3-on-1 overlap.
Biggest talking point of the game not featured disallowed quins try first half try due to accidental intervention by the ref, why cannot the ref award the try and then ask the tmo to check play to see if his intervention was the mitigating fact in the try being scored, my view is the defence was stretched and the try would have been scored anyway
I think he would have scored it if the ref wasn't there but there was a potential covering defender blocked so right decision in the end but poor positioning from the referee he was in the way of the attack a few times
The golden boy got yellow carded and also failed to convert the penalty to make it a tie.
the yellow card was deliberate to stop the try, he knew what he was doing
and the conversion was kind of a difficult one
@Joe Saunders he’s also 22 and rly wasn’t to blame
@@jessica_7474 I wouldn't really say that it was a try scoring opportunity so it was a bit stupid
@@luckysharma5319 the entire harlequins defence was in shambles due to the scrum, strong leg drive in the ruck that caused the issue, coulda easily passed it out and scored
When it comes to rugby Their are two guys i love to watch one is in South Africa and one with the Harlequins right here in the UK ... In South Africa it's Faf De Klerk and here
it's the one and only MARCUS SMITH .Near the end of the game with Leicester........ GET THE BALL TO MARCUS FOR THE WINING TRY.... WHY WAIT...
You do know Faf de Klerk plays his rugby in England, right?
@@linalmeemow Your right mate i know but he plays over their
I'm surprised to see Quins be so competitive against this kind of team in this kind of form but they were more than competitive and IMO should have won.
The seatbelt tackle was a penalty and yellow probably.
Should have could have but didn't unfortunately.
dry your tears mate...
@@HariSingh96K The ref could have and should have given a penalty and yellow card?
I assume thats what you are referring to otherwise your sentence is a non-sequitur and doesn't make sense.
@@henryburton6529 quins on the whole were not the better team.
@@brandonpye8757 You may well be right but I'm not really arguing that. Just that on that one decision on that one point in the game they were harshly done by and it cost them points and and a man advantage.
But that doesn't matter decisions go various ways in each match and singling one out is unfair to Tigers unless it was a howler in the last few minutes of a game.
I should clarify:
Tigers won fair and square on the day.
Quins were better than I expected but not better than Tigers
That one decision was wrong. I'm sure lots of others too.
Smith the golden boy still?
Yes
do some cheeky foul play to stop the try, he knew what he was doing, and it worked
@@lukebartlett704 shoved by a retired lenny LMAO
So you all think that one match, in which he played relatively well but committed one piece of foul play, and was beaten by the form side in the division is enough to dismiss him as not good enough. Cause that was the question.
Top 14 >>>>
4:52 3 vs 1
Wiese is ill-disciplined, the Boks still need to look for a proper 8.
They already have one...Duane Vermeulen
Leicester got away with a seatbelt tackle, appalling officiating
@Joe Saundersno head contact is irrelevant, tackling arm was above the shoulder..... that's not allowed....
@Joe Saunders but you cant tackle above the shoulder, it is literally dangerous and should always be illegal.
@@n4s98 Seat belt tackles are ok as long as head contact is not made it was an amendment to the way they ref this year. Just shows how much these reds and yellows have changed the way the game is played that we are only just talking about it in round 10
@Joe Saunders salty? Dude I don't follow any particular team, I just watch any and every game because I love rugby and that seatbelt tackle should have been a yellow and a penalty try by the letter of the law. Tackle was above the shoulder, no way around that at all.
@Joe Saunders we've literally seen seatbelt tackles penalised this season 🤦♂️
Again a match result determined by some dubious refereeing decisions, more consistency required.
Agreed nearly determined in favour of the wrong team. Was good to see Tigers play that well that that refereeing decisions didn't have too much of an impact.
@@HariSingh96K gr8 reply, man
As any self-respecting Bokke fan will tell you, that’s because Tigers paid the ref more. Simple.
@@paulmulryne8405 would you like some more salt with that sir 🧂 🧂
Wiese yellow card was a joke
Really hope Leicester don’t win the league
Why
Yeah, bad luck, looks like we're going to take it this year!
@@linalmeemow the only problem is they might not win the playoffs at the end of the season
@@luckysharma5319 Maybe. Looks like we'll be the most consistent team across the season though.
@@linalmeemow yeah but every team will have ups and downs and I hope our down doesn't come towards the end of the season. Even if we are still playing well the pressure on them to win the playoffs are huge that's why most of the first place teams don't win the playoff but I hope it's different this year
