- The highlight song of the Maunakea concert was the original composition “Warrior Rising” by Hāwane Rios featuring Lākea Trask.
ʻŌiwi TV presents “Mele ma ka Mauna”, an original series celebrating the unique movement and Kapu Aloha around the Thirty Meter Telescope construction on Mauna a Wākea. Set up at Hale Pōhaku on Mauna Kea, Mele ma ka Mauna brings together musicians and artists from all over Hawaiʻi pae ʻāina performing traditional mele ʻai pōhaku, or songs of sovereignty, alongside new original compositions. These performances were shot live, and were done with aloha ʻāina sentiments. Each group brought their songs and hula with intentions of celebrating the invaluable resources that Mauna Kea offers the people of Hawaiʻi. - Krátké a kreslené filmy

Great voice Hāwane Rios has. However, the greater good for human kind is better served with the TMT being built on Mauna Kea. It is being built on the remote northern plateau where hardly anyone goes, at least up until the time of construction and protests. Nobody is banning the general public or cultural partitioners for visiting the summit, three telescopes are scheduled to be decommissioned, no new ground will be broken to build new telescopes and the TMT project passed the EIS. One side has compromised and one refuses while taking a hardline aggressive stance while excusing their disruptive behavior with emotion. The opposition needs to analyze the bigger picture independently and not default to herd mentality.
