      @@longshanks5531Nah. There’s really no need to say shit like this when someone praises something that actually does deserve the praise. Necrophagist is great. Soreption is great. This is great. Leave it at that.

    • @MrNecryptic
      @MrNecryptic Před 5 měsíci +2

      @@dylanfrey9478 The reason it needed to be said was because Sir Crunchwrap placed this on par or above Necrophagist's Epitaph and Faceless's Planetary Duality. This album sits below both, but not by very far, It basically is Planetary Duality 2.0 if it was written by some tech death version of ChatGPT, which they might have been going for so I think it's pretty neat.
      Had the taco bell menu item simply said this album was great, there wouldn't have been any disagreements from any of us commenting here I imagine.

    • @dylanfrey9478
      @dylanfrey9478 Před 5 měsíci +3

      @@MrNecryptic Fair, but then again, he did say this is “up there” with things like that, and it’s all subjective really, so it very much could be for said Taco Bell menu item. I haven’t really actively listened through this one yet, but from a casual pass through I could see how it might rank that way, and I also agree with your assessment that those others probably are a little better, depending on taste of course. I guess my issue was the other guy’s thing felt just a tad “Fuck you, none of this new shit could ever top my timeless golden classic” and it struck me as annoying if I’m being totally honest lol. Even if it is Necrophagist we’re talking about, we can chill a little bit.

      TZP is really setting a new standard in the genre, it's OK to be different, it's OK to add elements that may be unconventional. I can't get over how good this is! ...and I wasn't a fan before this album :o
    (0:00) THE AXIOM OF ERROR
    -Brutal opener (not unlike Gorod's "Chrematheism" :D). 2:00 & 2:08 are some sick solo runs!
    (02:27) ALGORITHMIC SALVATION (10/10)
    -LOVE the super intense percussive main riff! Love the more bass prominent breakdown from 4:08 onwards, and the solo (4:28) is tasty af!
    (05:57) LEXICONTAGION (10/10)
    -3rd best song on the album - Awesome percussive main riff, classic tech death verses (6:25), and 7:08 is heavy af. The prog break at 7:36 is GOAT'ed! (8:21 for solo)
    (09:38) SYNAPTIC DEPRAVATION
    -11:06 TRippi. Tasty lead at 11:42 followed by an atmospheric break (12:07) with a bass solo (12:16) and guitar solo (12:35)! Cool synth layer & outro at 13:51!
    (15:50) DELETION CULT (10/10)
    -Song of the year! Tight riffing (16:26), and I LOVE the dynamic riffs and shifts between synth & guitar (17:11)!!! And a breakdown at (18:44).
    (21:04) DIVINERTIA I
    -More tight percussive riffing, which then turns into a more eerie atmosphere (21:51) becoming more uplifting at (24:00).
    (26:20) DIVINERTIA II
    -Starts atmospheric, then a swift tempo change at (27:48) before tight picking ensues. (29:17) for the best guitar solo on the album!
    (31:43) AUTOMATED TWILIGHT
    -Cool prog track with awesome buildups for the chorus (32:49 & 36:53). Great synth climax (34:21) and tasty solo at (35:55)!
    (38:44) DATALYSIUM (10/10)
    -2nd best song imo. 41:09 beautiful "chorus"! (42:02) first great solo on this song! (43:43) is just a magical climax! (44:10) BEST SOLO ON THE ALBUM!

      @@xeyonHaken is really good, but for one thing this is nothing like Haken, this is tech death, not prog metal, and for another, meshuggah is better than any other band.

      I think everyone forgets how early decapitated sounded like this in a lot of ways. They aren't really death metal anymore but the original line up deserves some credit for their influence on tech death.

    Imo this is the album of the year so far. Great sound technique, effects and hook. Sometimes you can't understand how they can keep together some sounds but they do and it dumn works! It's like mixing meshuggah, primus, between the buried and me and some gojira, fusion, progressive and elettro. I loved it and divinertia 2 is probably my favorite together with algorithmic salvation

    Been since Scarve and Soreption that I've paid attention to any tech death, bc most modern tech death is overproduced and formulaic. That said, this album is amazing. Some Decapitation here, some Cynic/Atheist there, some Holdsworth/Thordendahl leads, and beautiful synths.. the list of combinations and influences goes on.. holy fuck does this blow one's mind...
