      FaB*Bo*Peep do u lived in the United States ? I’ve been looking into one of these but I don’t know if you need insurance for it ? And how much insurance would be ? Can u drive these on main streets ?

      @@johndillinger3988 Hi John, I live in the UK and have the 2KW version which is limited to a top speed of 45kmh (28mph) and it's therefore treated exactly the same as a 50cc moped. A small fee to the DVLA, (Driver Vehicle and Licensing Agency), to issue you with a vehicle registration number, (you have to display the resulting number plate at the rear of the bike). Insurance is compulsary and you have to wear a helmet. No road tax though. And yes you can then drive it on the road. Insurance is fairly cheap but if like me you have many years worth of no claims discount in a car, unfortunately that does not count for anything and you start on 2 wheels with zero no claims.

    So I passed my cbt 2 years ago, ended up getting my bike stolen. Been looking for a nice, easy town rider (work n back) a little food shop, go to my local beauty spot for food, walk, meet up with friends. Love the look of these bikes, wish there was a larger max distance on them as 30 mils on a 4 hour charge seems quite low. though.

    I want one of these for commuting 10km each way in city traffic. Do you think it would be good for that? It seems like it's a hard tail with a form of suspension for the seat; would it get annoying over roads that aren't the best?

    • @RichRides
      @RichRides  Před 4 lety +1

      I think there are better options for city commuting really. The suspension is better suited to smoother stuff and there's no real storage though I guess you could put a bag on the platform under the "tank". Because of manoeuvrability and visibility etc I think an electric moped would probably be a better option for city commuting.

    • @btfairweather
      @btfairweather Před 4 lety +1

      @@RichRides thank you for the reply. The practical considerations are the most important and you bring up good points... But before I saw this I never wanted to ride a moped to work. Little vespa style bikes probably are a great design given they haven't changed a whole lot in decades... But I still don't want to ride one lol

    • @RichRides
      @RichRides  Před 4 lety

      @@btfairweather haha, yes I get that. I was never a fan of scooters but having now spent so long in Asia I totally understand why they are so popular here because of ease of use and practicality.
