- Indian Railways has issued a detailed response following recent allegations by Congress regarding the treatment of Loco Pilots within the railway system. The controversy arose after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited New Delhi Railway Station and met with Loco Pilots, highlighting issues such as non-AC cabin conditions, extended working hours, and alleged mismanagement of work schedules.
In defense against these claims, Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw released crucial facts addressing the concerns raised
Recognition of Loco Pilots: Loco Pilots are acknowledged as integral members of the railway workforce.
Improvements Over a Decade: Significant enhancements have been made in the working conditions of Loco Pilots over the past ten years.
Rest Facilities: After completing their trips, Loco Pilots are provided with adequate rest facilities in running rooms if they are away from their headquarters.
Upgraded Running Rooms: Before 2014, running rooms were in poor condition; today, all 558 running rooms are air-conditioned, with added amenities like foot massagers.
Enhanced Loco Cabs: Loco cabs, where Pilots operate locomotives, have seen substantial improvements since 2014, with over 7,000 cabins now air-conditioned and featuring ergonomic seats.
Monitoring of Duty Hours: The duty hours of Loco Pilots are carefully monitored, with meticulous provisions for rest after trips. The average monthly duty hours are maintained below 8 hours, except under exigent circumstances.
Recruitment Efforts: A significant recruitment drive has been undertaken in recent years, with 34,000 running staff recruited and an additional 18,000 in the ongoing process.
Minister Vaishnaw condemned what he termed as attempts to demoralize the railway workforce with misinformation. He affirmed the unity of the entire rail family in serving the nation and ensuring the welfare of its employees.
The response from Indian Railways aims to address concerns raised by political leaders and ensure transparency regarding the conditions and treatment of Loco Pilots within the railway sector.

99% लोको मे AC नहीं है और जिनमे हैं उनका AC काम नहीं करता और तो और पैसेंजर ट्रेन मे 9-9 घंटे तक ड्यूटी कराई जाती हैं और कैब मे 55 टेम्परेचर और सर्दी मे - डिग्री टेम्परेचर हो जाता है

In industry we do night shift for one week to two weeks. Also if the next shift person doesn't turn up then the existing person has to stay for second shift varying from 16 to 18 hrs.

Moula Ali me to container ko hi running room me badal diya sb, Kehne ko running room me 5 star hotel ki facility di jati hai but actual me o 2 star hotel ki facility v nh hai.

Long duty na dikhane ke chakkar mein duty break dikhwate hain

लोको पायलट का 30% पैसा से रनिंग रूम चलता है जिसमे सारा पैसा उनके जैसा अधिकारी खा जाता है लोको पायलट को कोई सुविधा नहीं मिलती हर रनिंग रूम में ठेकेदार और अधिकारी मिलकर सारा पैसा खा जाता है
Sach kadvi hoti hai. Sab theek hai toh itne durgatna kyon ho rahe hain. Loco pilot ko aaram karne ko milega nahi toh durgatna hi hogi.
