I have visited the Manzanar museum several times. As a Japanese American, I appreciate our ancestors’ resilience and efforts throughout history😊

We share the common ancestor then. Did you watch 'Go for Broke! (1951 film)' yet? It looks like an interesting film from an interesting era.

    お二人の会話は早すぎず丁度良いスピードでアクセントもとても聞きやすいのですが、これは私達リスナーに配慮しているからなのでしょうか? リスナーを意識せずに話したら全然違うスピードとアクセントになるのでしょうか?

Arthur said "Please teach us the delicious sake"
    Is that grammatically correct?
Because in this case, I assumed that "Could you tell us the delicious sake?" is correct.

You do see code switching in mixed race people in the US. I'm half white and black but grew up in a white family. I didn't always feel comfortable to express "blackness" in my all white schools. Thank God I'm in a more diverse situation now

Well, you know, the title, man. It became so irrelevant as the time went on. It was a good flow and a good show. As a Japanese, I'm interested in those folks. It's their history even if they didn't grow up in much of Japanese culture in the US. Those ancestors struggled HARD being a part of the society, that's America. You're both educators if I'm not mistaken so if you wanted, you could do way better speaking about this subject.
On the different note, would we be entering the era where we'd be hearing people say American-Japanese? The mention of kids from your workplace was interesting, thank you Austin. Or would they be actually saying it like american-Japanese? I see it nothing different than the struggle of mixed race kids in America. But as you said, some of them are exhibiting the traits where they want to claim this national identities which are kinda non-existent for the most regular Japanese. Should I say Japanese folks/people instead? I ain't changing my mind about seeing anyone as an individual first.
Aren't we all sub-consciously looking for respectable quality about someone when we listen to them? What is he made of? Who was he before and the guy standing in front of me, are you a made man? If someone's core value weren't self-made, there's no way I'd be interested in that person. If anyone wants to speak about stereotypes and generalizations, that's fine we have a time and place for that. But some of those folks forget to bring the context of their own.
    Why Japanese-Americans act so differently?

the Korematsu v. United States decision:
_"In December 1944, the Supreme Court handed down one of its most controversial decisions, which upheld the constitutionality of internment camps during World War II. Today, the Korematsu v. United States decision has been rebuked but was only finally overturned in 2018."_
