  • Clipping your ferret's nails is so important! They grow rather quickly, and if they get too long, they can get caught up in their beds/hammocks, which can lead to loss of blood circulation leading to amputation! Because we recommend clipping your ferret's nails once a week, making it as easy as possible definitely helps!
The Salmon Oil method definitely works super well once your ferret realizes Salmon Oil is delicious!!

I think my ferret is broken. He doesn’t like anything that ferrets are supposed to like. đŸ€ŁđŸ€Ł

I've been wanting a ferret for a while now but I'm not sure on what cage to get. I've seen many videos talking about the double ferret nation cage however it seems rather expensive (ÂŁ500). Any recommendations?

I will always recommend the Ferret Nation. I went through other cages before getting the Ferret Nation, and they were such a waste of money. If you can't do the Double Ferret Nation, look into just a single unit. If they are getting free roam time (like they should), a single unit would be fine for one ferret. One of the benefits of the Ferret Nations is you can always add on later! They are always expandable, and later, if you have the extra money, you can purchase just the add on piece, which turns a single Ferret Nation into a Double.
The only other cage that I've seen that other Ferret Owners have been happy with is the Ferplast Ferret Cage. I personally don't like the smaller openings for cleaning the cage, but they are rather roomy. Not sure if you know who Emzotic is on CZcams (she is an amazing creator!), but she uses the Ferplast for her ferrets, and seems very happy with it.
I'm not super familiar with other country's money, but I assume your symbol is Euros? Even for Euros, 500, seems expensive. This is our affiliate links for the different cages:
      Single Ferret Nation: amzn.to/35z0GI7
      Double Ferret Nation: amzn.to/3K8hEMB
      Ferplast Cage: amzn.to/3homzMW
Let me know if you have any other questions!

@@PawsToJourney I've just noticed that the ferret nation cages seem to be out of stock on those affiliate links, I'm guessing the cages I've been seeing online where from resellers. I think I'm going to invest in a ferret nation cage as soon as stock is back.
      Thanks!

They 'imprint' on their food at a young age, so anything outside of what they had when they were younger doesn't seem like 'food' to them. We would just take a drop of Salmon Oil and rub it on their gums maybe every other day for a few weeks. They would lick it off, and eventually realized it's amazing stuff. Just have to be super patient with them LOL
