Henderson is always one of the main scapegoats when Liverpool don't play well. I thought he was brilliant tonight.

It was against Rangers ffs , all our senior players have been on the beach since United in the pre season bar Alisson .Trent ,Robbo,VVD,Fab,Thiago ,Hendo and Salah were horrible in that Fulham game ...They are throwing Klopp under the bus

not really, he should’ve been called out more for his performances this season, whenever he’s played he’s led to a goal by losing possession, tonight he was man of the match but as our captain he should atleast lead by example in bad form but if he’s bad himself it’s hard for others to get confidence

The amount of times everyone has written this man off is incredible. He's a phenomenal captain and one of the best at the job Liverpool has ever had.
Yes, he doesn't possess the technical ability of some of the City players etc but he's a very solid and reliable midfielder. Without this man, Liverpool wouldn't have won anywhere near the amount they have over the last few years. He's been instrumental and deserves respect for once.
Tactically Henderson enables Trent and Salah so much on that right hand side, his versatility in being a central engine player and being good on the right side to overlap is actually crucial- especially now that Mane is gone we're having to adapt new patterns of play on the left getting used to Diaz, we only really have the old reliable patterns that Henderson gives with Trent and Mo as tried and tested weapons of attack.
I agree but he has been poor this season when called upon from the Fulham game to now and he isn't the only one VVD ,Trent ,Robbo,Fabinho and Salah have been horrible too

Henderson especially had been getting a lot of criticism whilst he's always had it in him, some of his passes today and in recent game prove it

That whole right side works so much better with Henderson in the team. His understanding of how to be the link between Trent & Salah and when to drop back is outstanding. It’s funny how people don’t value reading the game as highly as technical skill. In that regard Henderson is among the very best!

When Henderson plays well, Liverpool play well. He's a real pillar in this team, could've had a couple assists this game
Hope going forward, this is how Kloppo uses Hendo. We don't need him storming into the box making runs like its 2015. He's lost a bit of pace and is 32 now. Let him sit back and cover for Trent, while using his passing range and occasionally scoring a screamer outside the box.

Pogba and xhaka scored less goals and conceded more during there "bad spells" trent has defended well 90% of games but is literally pivotal in going forward even on a "bad day"

I do agree english media is biased in that sense though but pick your battles because Mason Mount etc have probably had a worse run than trent in recent memory.

Harry Maguire is a good defender and to be fair is blamed for everything wrong. A lot of the goals has came from others not CLOSING down opposition players. I'm a Liverpool fan. There was goals that was his fault but not anymore of 15% . In the last 2 seasons. It was the incident in Greece that I found hard not referr to him as the out and PRIZE Bell End. Not every one follows FOOTBALL to know who Harry Maguire is. 😂😂😂😂
he should be England captain as well, with Kane as Vice Captain. Kane is an excellent player, but Hendersons leadership capacities are literally second to none in Premier League and England football history. He was blessed to be able to be an understudy for Steven Gerrard as well - another top shelf captain, but even Captain Fantastic couldn't match Henderson for sheer leadership in my opinion.
The criticism is warranted. If the team played well enough, they wouldn’t be criticised. It’s a privilege to play for LFC, your paid a lot of money, earn it
Lots of criticism has turned into blind hatred, they’re still human beings regardless.
Except the criticisms against Liverpool players (and Man United players in so many extent) are way harder than anyone else that it became abuses. No players have been abused in the past few months more than Trent Alexander Arnold and Harry Maguire.
To be fair, he didn't say it wasn't warranted (which it is of course), he just said they have focus on what they're doing and tune it out.

We haven’t scored an open play goal and defended it against a quality opponent for a long time. Always trying to come from behind, playing catch-up, unable to create open play. This is something which started at the end of the earlier season and amplified in this season with Mane leaving for Bayern. Tough season but still supporting Liverpool Forever!!
Got to give it to Henderson he knows Trent is a better player going forward than him so he willing to sacrifice his game to help Trent excel in getting forward and creating for the good of the team are captain ❤
Dean is lively and lovely good spirited human. I saw a frustration in his face and look in his face in relation to questions around media criticism of players /team. . They are human. Must take the finger out focus on plan b how to win consistently.

Rangers just sat back for 90mins and tried damage limitation. Liverpool were allowed to attack for 90mins straight. Yet, Liverpool fans are acting like they’ve just put in an amazing performance. What the hell is going on? Anyone can see it was a complete mismatch. Liverpool’s team cost £750. Rangers cost about £20m.

These Liverpool players don’t know how lucky they have it, I remember when Gerrard wanted to move to Liverpool and Liverpool fans threatened his family if he did leave. They camped outside his house/area for a few days and Gerrard eventually bottled it. A few words on social media is light work.
