  • "Wogbe Jeke" is a GA Language phrase which is translated to English as "We've come afar". The music and words of this piece was composed by Nat Brew, popularly know as "Amandzeba" a native of Cape Coast (Oguaa), born and bred in Accra (Ghana).
    Ben Amakye-Boateng also composed the choral arrangement foe SATB and was performed by the One Voice Choir - Ghana at Awake and Build Africa concert in 2017.

    This is so perfect. But I expected a female solo for that portion that says: Amɛkɛɛ wɔnyɛŋ wɔtumɔ bui ni atsatsai kɛ tsimɔ wɔgbɛi wɔkɛɛ wɔbaanyɛ....
    In my personal observation, if that portion were done with a FEMALE SOLO, high soprano, it would have been nicer.
    But hey, this version is wicked, no doubts. CONGRATULATIONS.
