This version of the song is a live rendition from her Santa Barbara County Bowl show in Sept 1979 and appears on the forthcoming ‘The Asylum Albums (1976-1980)’ out June 21, 2024 via Rhino. I was/am a lifelong Neil Young AND Joni Mitchell fan, imagine how that felt..
"The Needle and the Damage Done"....
Then I remembered CG Jung and "Death angst", or "thanatophobia", and just how old those two boomers are..
