This is a demo of my own custom Sim Dashboard Screen for FS22. I took inspiration from the real-life Gen 4 screens you would find in a John Deere tractor but then adapted some of the controls so that all the buttons were functional. You do need Wopsters Guidance Steering Mod to get full functionality, which is available from the in-game mod hub:

Thank you very much for this! I really appreciate all of the work you put into your Sim Dashboard screens and also that you share them with us. It adds so much to the Sim for me. I agree with you - a separate fold/unfold and raise/lower for front and back would be great. I often have a weight attached. A generic screen would also be great as I run Claas, but I can almost convince myself that the JD green comes close to the Claas green :)

Anyone not willing to buy PRO is just entitled. If you think it takes an hour to make it? Then do it. This app is OP as heck. There are so many PRO racers, Sim Racers, Farm Sim community that use this. There is a great reason. Price out a real button box and then look at cost of PRO version on this app. Pretty sure this is a great alternative.

Fantastic update, installed GPS yesterday so gonna get your updated GPS run page as well. A generic run page would be cool as my manufacturer preference in-game is Claas and as much as I would love a Claas theme I don't expect you to sink hours into themes for all brands. Keep up the awesome work 👍🇬🇧

I bought the pro version years ago for sim dashboard. I use it more than any other app I’ve ever installed not just for farming but for racing, ATS and ETS. It’s a real game changer and IMO can increase the realism depending on the implementation of the dashboard.

I never pay for apps, I usually don't feel strongly enough about one to pay cash. I absolutely paid for this one after seeing how easy and intuitive it is to use
This is awesome. I'd love a generic version, I going for 1 tractor from every brand on my main farm. I picked up SIM Dashboard a couple weeks ago. I've been using the Active Run Page. The Pro version is great. I didn't realize at first that 4 of the games I play or played the most are on it.

Just got around to downloading and setting this up today. LITERAL GAME CHANGER!!! I still use the "Vehicle Control" mod for guidance steering, haven't gone with the GPS mod yet...and just for the controls on that mod alone the pro version is totally worth it!!! This thing is slick! Thanks for showcasing!!!

Another great video FSG. love the screen and the front weight may be problematic , looking forward to more screens, I agree that modders aren't shown the credit that they deserve and that not enough players look for the original links for mods. there are to many pirated mods out there, most are substandard and pore quality copes. keep up the great work bud.

Fantastic to see another of your great SimDashboard screens return to FS22! I used all of them in FS19 and it creates such an immersive experience. You clearly put a lot of time into the screens, thank you 👍. Question for you though: as precision farming is due to come in early 2022, what do you think the feasibility is for a live screen to come for SimDashboard that could actually track your vehicles progress in a field so that you could can actually see where you've worked? Almost as a mirror of the minimap? I don't doubt it would be a huge amount of work and I don't even know if it's possible! Just curious to get some inner thoughts from an expert. Cheers again and keep up the great work. (Also, just saying that I'd pay for your screens over and above the subscription fee if we had to, they are that good and well integrated).
Hi Phil, that’s the dream, sadly the data to be able to produce out with the game isn’t possible just now, for me that would be the final piece in the jigsaw that would make the GPS screen truly immersive, maybe soon 🤞

I completely agree with you in regards the monetary aspect of MODs and addons and showing appreciation to the individual developers ,regardless of which Game or Simulation .who have spent time and effort to bring their relevant APP or MOD to the marketplace.
If one is going to download and install a specific APP or MOD then that person obviously thinks its worth using and therefore should show appreciation to the developer of said APP or MOD.
I personally use MSFS2020 and I am careful as to which MODs I download and use , BUT... i am more than willing to show my appreciation to the specific developer.
Anyway ..enough rambling

You made this app very realistic. Fantastic job!
Just one thing. Make one more button to sepatate front and back lowering/lift implements. It would be great. And mabye a challange for a future update/version. To record a headland action. Ex when the headland beep sounds it will stop pto and lift front implement att the headland line and the same for the rear implements. Make the headland turn, line up and it will start up / lowering in order again. It's just an idea or a wish from me and mabye some more players. Tractors do have this options. A fendt from early 2000 has 32 recodeble actions as, in or out 4wd and diffrentials, start/stop pto, reduce rpm, doing hydraulic cycles ect ect. And you set the timing when you manual recording does action on the first headland run. A simplified version would be cool to see and use.
Thanks Ken, yeah the separate raising and lowering I knew could be an issue I’ll be updating that at some point. Unfortunately at the moment multiple actions at the same time are limited, but I like the idea of the headland bleep triggering other actions, I’ll speak to the developer about that 👍
it is possible to display the map in the device instead of activating the map in the game menu. Just downloaded/installed dashboard and you app. It is fantastic to use. So great job of you

When plowing, I notice that when I click on "implemend is Lowared (Raise / Lower), it goes down front and back so that the weight over the soil grinder.
I do not know whether that is wanted, with the video for cutting grass it is OK that it goes down syncronously.

Thanks Pike, yes that was a test idea that didn’t quite work how I wanted it too, I’ll be fixing that this week and pushing out a new version. As for the donate button, it’s only available when I do live streams 👍

Hi and thanks Dave much appreciated. unfortunately active states are only possible in base game commands not from mods, I could make the button do it but it would go out of sync if pressed too fast , or you used the keyboard by accident
This is so cool. Already downloaded and got pro. Compare to lots of trash gasha game, this pro upgrade is 100x worth it
I just bought the pro version due to your videos (I also use sim hub for my racing but this is so much better). Your screens are very professional in their display. What I have found difficult is finding useful information on the editing graphical images for placement on the screens (I understand photoshop use etc. but this is more about the requirements for the app). Could you do a tutorial or overview on the method you use to create your screens for people who can actually use graphic editing software. I would rather create than copy and modify especially as there doesn't seem to be a way to reuse images from downloaded screens. It doesn't need to be in depth just cover what is actually required. I understand how to use the action side of the widgets etc. Cheers.

Great design. What guidance mods is it compatible with? Headland Management Mod? Also why not split the raise/lower buttons in half horizontally so the front and rear can be managed independently as a menu option?

One change I noticed also is that your compass heading is no longer shown just above the Guidance Steering HUD. In order to manually enter a course under A+heading you have to get the compass heading from the mini map overlay.
It is displayed on the dashbaord too, under the speed in the top bar 👍
@@TheFarmSimGuy I have a button box that does not display speed. I customized one from the community page. I may have to add compass heading to it now.

A tip for ya. If you wanted to, you could include a screenshot of the QR code for your sim dashboard in your vids for people to download. A camera from a phone/tablet should be able to read the QR code off of a screen easily.

Im new to this whole GPS stuff.
So If I understand it correctly, it only drives a single line, then at the beginning of each line, you have to manually line up with it? Or is there a way so that GPS does this automatically? Thinking kinda like CoursePlay does it?
You don't have to line it up pefectly, but you do need to turn at the end of each row, you can then re-engage it and it'll finish lining things up for you. I always look at it as, if you want to leave a tractor in a field just working away, and go and do something else, use Courseplay, if you want to do the job yourself and be in control but efficiently, and with straight lines do it with GPS. 👍

Excellent simdashboard, can't wait until I get home around new year's to try. I was wondering what size tablet is it that you use currently. I bought an 10inch tablet last month, & by the looks of it, I may have to get a 12inch tablet to see thi gs as my vision gets worse

Ohh, this works really good!! I was experiencing a lot of delay at first but it might have been some power saving setting on the old chromebook, because once I connected the charger it got sorted. A bit of unclear text / low res but might be my device aswell.. its no big issue, overall this is so cool :D THANKS! i m m e r s i o n Lol

Great work! Now if only the map was actually functional on sim dashboard instead of a static image. Also, would it be possible to change the GPS and guidance buttons on the dashboard to reflect their state? Green for guidence on, etc.
The map thing would be the dream, but not sure it'll be possible any time soon. As for the GPS active buttons not yet, but potentially in the future, I'll feed that back to the Devs to see if that can be implemented
Can you run Sim Dashboard on more than one Tablet at a time, for example can run this 3 tablet (1 Tablet for GPS, and 2 others as a Button box and tractor info dashboard)?

Sun., Dec. 12, 2021 Evening Mr. FSG, I told my son (he's 49 and plays FS and if very tech savvy) about the "Sim Dash" and he's interested, however, I'm afraid I don't understand if this is for all tractor screens or is it only usable with John Deere? (Obviously I know NOTHING about technology). Which Android tablet do you recommend to run Sim Dash with?

Hi there, No you can use it with any vehicle in game and you can just download multiple screens and then all you need to do is swipe left and right to change the screens 👍

I know its not a sim dashboard issue, but why went you set your B point did the line come up at a different angle to what you were driving?
Are you using A+ that does snap to 0 degrees (or whatever angle you set it too, using A+B should keep it straight
@@TheFarmSimGuy No, I mean in this video, the second you pressed fir setting you B point, the lines went at a different angle to which you were driving.

No base game default keybinds, if you turn on GPS before you hit the other buttons it should work, just a limitation of the game 👍

That would be down to the mod rather than my screens, Courseplay would be able to do that but it’s not released yet for FS22 👍

Yes install the screens you want and swipe left and right

I use the cheapest 10 inch tablet I could find on Amazon, it needs very little power to run the app
Thxs VERY much for doing this for the community :) Question when i am running say a plow and a attachable front weight and the rear is selected and i press Raise/Lower both implements lower. regardless if i press the front tool or rear tool. Yes it was a trial to see if it was helpful to operate both the front and rear together, but I think I'll be pushing out an update to revert back to operating both separately

Great work! The only problem is really that the weight is lowered automatically even when only the rear tool is selected. If you manage to fix that bug please let us know. Thank you!

Yes but would probably need a pretty fundamental rebuild, I also would need a translator 😂

Implement raise/lower - Shouldn't it have the front lowering and a short delay for the rear to lower? and same with raising.
You can set it up to lower both together
But the front and back implements should not go down at the same time. there should be a slight delay between front and back to allow for tractor movement and impliments lowering on the same line.@@TheFarmSimGuy
That’s controlled by the game, I have no control over that in Sim Dash. I’ve just used the Ctrl V keybind to lower both implements

I am having one issue though. With the sim dashboard mod activated my game freezes when I try to save. Any idea what might be causing this?
EDIT: I believe I was able to reproduce it on two profiles. The freeze occurred when I tried to save with a tractor on a field. It seems to be okay if the vehicle I'm in is not on a field
If it was after the update yesterday? If so there’s an issue that I think needs to be updated

Yes you can edit using the studio, check out the instruction guide in the help section on the sim Dashboard website

The reason this mod doesn't work on iOS is the same reason it doesn't work on consoles: blame the hardware manufacturer.
just installed this, went into fs22 to use it but its not working for me. the buttons do different things to what is set out in this vid, please help

No it's a dedicated Android app, you could run Bluestacks or a similar emulator though

Can you update again please, some features don't work after the new game update today! Like fuel usage, field status etc
There is an issue with Sim Dashboard after the update, updating my screens won't fix it, it'll need to be done in the mod itself

Can it do A + heading? I find that way more straightforward.
You would have to do that through the menu as there's no key assignment for A+ so I can't map anything to it

What android tablets are suitable for this setup?
Any basic tablet should work, I bought the cheapest 10 inch one I could get from Amazon. If you can go for an 1920x1200 screen res that’s what Sim Dash is optimised too

I’m an iOS guy too but SimDash was definitely worth the Android tablet 👍
