- MASTER DRUMMER AT HIS BEST (FROM GHANA)
Filmed by Nii Cozzy and Abass Dodoo
When he left the University of Ghana in 1965, he began several years of travel in Ghana and neighboring Ivory Coast working by himself, with friends or as a guide to visiting scholars and ethno musicologists. During these years he widened his range of skills learning drumming techniques from Ghana as well as from Ivory Coast and Nigeria .Apart from becoming a virtuoso performer, Addy was recognized in Ghana for his important work in the preservation and development of West Africa 's rich cultural heritage. At the end of the 60's Mustapha Tettey Addy was invited to several eastern European countries as well as visits to Western Germany , England and the United States . - Hudba

great!...and thanks for the video....i used to play for quite some time in the early 70's with your uncle Ishmaila, however never got to meet Mustapha as he was on tour. I lost touch with Ishmaila. You know how he is doing?
what would be the structure of that piece ?
Sorry, I'm a tad confused, wasn't Mustapha tettey addy born in 1943?
That surely makes him 68 years old yet this video looks quite recent but he looks like he's in his 30s maybe 20s??
