In Japan, many cherry trees bloom from late March to April. Many people in Japan love cherry trees. There is a culture called hanami, where people hold parties and picnics under cherry trees.
In April in Japan, there are school entrance ceremonies and many people start working, so sakura is also a flower that symbolizes new life.
I made a bento lunch on the weekend and had a picnic while gazing at the cherry trees.
I love to see the cherry blossoms, but I love even more to see people stop to admire and take pictures under the cherry trees.

I live in the city (London) and we have cherry blossom trees. I have to say they are harder to notice amongst all the concrete and they don't bloom for long. I'm sure the Japanese sakura experience is a lot different 😊🌸

Oh my word, that amazing picnic! Nami even brought a selection of teas. Certainly beats a British picnic, which is basically sandwiches and bags of crisps.
The hair decorations were so pretty, too!
You should see our Persian-style picnics. We even bring a picnic gas burner and do the cooking on the spot! 😂

Definitely you must try making beautiful breakfast for yourself! Even a simple pancake will do, then put sliced fruits on top of it, decorate it in a beautiful way. I swear its therapeutic. Making good food for yourself is such a good self care method 💜

We also get them here in America. And they are so beautiful i think someone to Japan and brought some seeds of those beautiful flowers. We enjoy seam them ever yrs.but onces summer is here they fall and the other flowers take over.

A delightful introduction into Japanese culture thank you for sharing this. The time you take to prepare the food the presentation and then serving it is just one of the time I enjoy. I was delighted with the ribbon making hair clips, an excellent idea for small gifts and especially reading for oneself because "I made it" builds self-esteem not only that, but we develop talents we didn't know we had, that makes all the difference. The Lucy boxes were a feast for the eyes. I'm not cooking so much these days as I'm in the process of moving from Qatar to Scotland at the end of the month so all good stuffs are on hold. The freezer is now empty except for my needs for one week. Ramadan started yesterday, and my neighbour sent me a big beautiful box of all the Ramadan savory pastries "God bless her hands." I'm so thankful when for everything people give me, because they spend their very valuable time making these things. Keep up your embroidery, hand made things are irreplaceable, and later we will think "oh I remember making that." I am watching all the videos but I just don't know where the days and weeks to. Thank you again for making the videos, for presenting them, for the subtitles and for the soothing music. 💞🌹
