সবার আগে দরকার মসজিদ সরিয়ে দুটো সমান্তরাল রানওয়ে। তবেই নতুন টার্মিনাল সম্পূর্ণ কাজে আসবে।
ঘণ্টায় অন্তত ৬০ টা প্লেন ওঠানামার ব্যাবস্থা দরকার।
কলকাতা বিমানবন্দর এখন বোয়িং ৭৪৭ ওঠানামা করতে পারবে। আগামী বছর থেকে ইংল্যান্ড, আমেরিকা, অষ্ট্রেলিয়া সরাসরি বিমান চালু হচ্ছে।
@@pinakichandrasaha4882 সেটা আগেও পারতো মূল রানওয়ে তে। মূল রান ওয়ে টা ৩৮০০ মিটার লম্বা। সমস্যা টা নামা নয়। পাকাপাকি অপারেট করা। ৭৪৭ খুব কম এ্যারলাইন্স ই ব্যাবহার করে তাও খুব কম রুটে। ৭৭৭ নিয়মিত অপারেট করা সমস্যা ছিল এখন হয়ত একটু মিটবে।কিন্তু যথেষ্ট নয় একটা আন্তর্জাতিক বিমান বন্দর এর জন্য।

Additionally, if you see, Air India is discontinuing their Bangkok flight from January, similarly Indigo is discontinuing some of their domestic flights to Amritsar and Kochi.

Demand to LHR is high enough for a direct flight 4 times a week but you need to fill the premium class cabins. If even rich people are taking economy what are you going to do? Last EU flight was in 2012 by Lufthansa, restarted to LHR by AI during covid and then because of AI's own issues stopped. And Kolkata has the third largest GDP...please do some research.
