💯You need a y cable
nah i still have no clue how you have less than 100k subs. All your uploads are filled with energy and just great beatmeaking
Dope to see sample chopping and production tricks from 40+ years ago still being used today!! 🏋🏽♀
Great demo and amazing beat! Also, you already know the old school trick of sampling @45 rpm to get more sample time. 💪💪💪
Thank you, brother. I really appreciate you being a part of this channel and also showing up right here. It truly means a lot. Much love to you brother and just a heads up on the next videos with the 1200 I’ll be releasing some of the chops to the community.
@@malobeats You Honor me tremendously. Thank you for being a constant inspiration. I appreciate you more than you know
Many producers made classics on this sampler. Crazy what you can create with such limitations. Great video brother. 💯
Thank you so much, brother. I really appreciate you taking the time to share this. Much love and blessings.
I worked with 2 SP1200 extensively the 90s. It takes a lot of effort (pete rock mentioned this as well) . I don’t look back , because the workflow of the new MPC s are much better.
Those limitations make you really have to plan out your chops. But that approach is what is behind those legendary beats
This workflow, arranging on the fly, is not only productive but also so much more fun than sitting Infront of a PC.
The combination of pads and faders and simple workflow make the whole experience more of a performance.
I use the MC707 in a similar way and its always fun when you end up at a place you never intended at the start. The MC707 has a steeper learning curve but it rewards your time.
Man i remember when you first started. Now you're rocking the Sp1200 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 congrats to you and youre continued success my guy!!!!!
16:48 man thats so dope! I really love this bit crushed character of the SP 🖤
It’s extremely satisfying, specially on progressive sounds on our next video. I’m a focus a bit more on percussion and that’s where it truly shines.
I been waiting for some Rossum content since you unboxed it! ❤
I liked own gear when it wasnt old. But to each his own. Im happy for the guys who wanted it.
Great content as alway dude. I've been watching your content for a couple of years and you really got me to think in new and creative ways when it comes to sampling. On your point about the SP-1200's short (by today's standards) sample time and having to think creatively about how best to use that, it made me think of the Oscar Wild quote
"The enemey of art is the absence of limitation"
Hope you're having a great day! Peace!
Lol...Now your fully accepted by the THE ALMIGHTY EASKI....Would love you to see you and him in studio on the Sp......Niceeeeee
Hey man, super cool video! I love that you sample Spanish music. I learned to sample on the MPC One from your Camilo Sesto chop (Algo De Mi) that was amazing. Thanks and wish you all the best!
Yo, you have no idea how much this means. This truly hits deep and I want to say thank you for being here and sharing this with me. I hope to continue and be somewhat of an inspiration to your journey with this. Nothing but love and blessings to you. 🫡
Crunchy and spicy 🌶️ my favorite dish!
Spot on 🔥
Damn that intro beat is one of the best beats I've heard on CZcams, I'm normally the one hating in the comments! 🤣
one of the most epic machines
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I’m so inspired thank you my creative brother 💯 the SP 1200 is a Hip Hop Staple
Very interesting video. That beat is sick as hell!🔥🔥🔥 looking for the next video.
🔥🔥
Yo man you making lots of headroom with your sp 1200 great video what motivation 🎶 🎵
Damn, man you’re talented. Beats just sound extra special out of the SP 1200.
Also try the Isla Instruments s 2400.
I’ve heard so much about this. Gotta try it sometime soon.
This was fire!!!!!
Do it !!! My guy !!! 🥁
Top tier content 🔥
🏆🏆🏆YES dope MALO! The sickness is VERY healing that 1200 RINGIN'! I'm locked in for all dis, let it rain 1200 vids and the sample time up to 20 sec too (x2 now)🔥 that SKI be startin all kinda tings🙏🏿👊🏿
That was dope, thanks for sharing Malo! 🫡
Yo!!!
Thank you brother. Truly means a lot for you to show up. On the next 1200 video I wanna put out the chops as MPCPGM’s for the community.
Thanks big bro, the sonics are crazy from the SP. I certainly understand why it’s held with such high regards 🔥🔥🔥
Ya yazzzz ya!!! LFG!!!
🫡
So dope. There's nothing more satisfying than mastering micro-chops. I would suggest seeing if you can use your mpc live2 as an additional sampler and triggering it via the 1200 with midi. More sample time. Like many use a s950/s3000, etc.
Dope video bro 🔥
Yo!! I really appreciate you taking the time, brother ❤️🫡
Great Therapy Session:))
Chingon !!!! 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
Incredible
🫡
Beat 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
My man. Again im so happy for u. I know u just got this but i see an akai s950 in your future 😅😅😅 fire beat bro and excellent break down 👍
Good video, and sounds real good even through CZcams.
Awsome video 💯 🔥
🔥🔥🔥
that thang slapssss!
💯
Fire! did you do any post production on the beat? because those drums knock so hard!
good video! please comparation MPC live (ring sp1200*) versus the real sound of rossum sp1200
hell yeah brother
😤 Very dope.
Thank you so much brother truly means a lot
Fire
Made me feel like it was the early 90s until my grandson walked in the living room
That was firme, Malo! Love the 1200 vids. Any recommendations for a cheap audio interface that I could track beats from my 1200 with? So many out there. 😮
Hope you have a moment!
That Bit Crushing sounds so good!
Easy Mo Bee and Pete Rock faithfully used the SP-1200.
Vintage machine for sure.
One thing I didn't hear him mention was the price.🤔
Thank You brother, and yes, the price lol I added a link in the bio but you could copy this new 1200 from Rossum himself starting at 4K
@@malobeats Sounds about right.
Good look!
Dope
I remember reading a Pete Rock article and he explained on the first one or 2 outputs he removed the cable slightly for a bigger sound on the drums or something..It was a secret trick they used, there were more tricks.
In the 80's Paul C explained the use of the SP to a lot of classic producers like Large Pro and more now famous names. Paul C they say was a miracle on the SP. He was a white kid what amazed all the artists back then. Paul C wa sadly murdered in his house..
Wow, that sp is in mint condition, nice video man!
Because it’s the reissue
Congrats 💯🫡🎶
I appreciate you brotha. Means a lot coming from you 🫡🤜🏼🤛🏼
@@malobeats Nah, bro, I'm super excited for you Much respect to you sir 💯🫡
Thank you for the video, amazing sh*t! Apart from the Sp1200 and a daw, what hardware would I need to start making complete beats? Peace
All you need is your interface/computer and the 1200. Everything is stamped out and it has its own mixer within the machine itself. It just depends if your interface has multiple inputs then you’re able to hit play and have everything record individually at the same time but if not, you can also steam everything out piece by piece, which is quite easy, if you’re only using drums bass and sample it’s only three
Amazing beat! Happy for you man, I’ll unfortunately never allow myself to spend so much money on this piece of iconic gear…
You know what would be great, try to make same beat on MPC live and Sp1200 and compare sound quality
great video, awesome machine. i guess you get tracks finished on this sp 1200 because you are limited, and you work with what you have. if that makes sense lol. amazing beat btw, gave me 90s nas vibes.
Wowww☺️
🤔
I'd love one of these beasts. it's a shame that they are 4 grand! I wish they weren't as costly. Perhaps one day if I am actually releasing music and earning from my passion then I could justify the investment in one of these.
I love the old, dusty, low quality sort of vibe you get out of these things.
It didn't take you long to get to know that Machine! Hey what's your process with creating sound packs when sampling off of Vinyl with a MPC?
20 seconds total in 2024 is diabolical
Yeah, man, this machine is definitely not in competition with anything else. It is in its own lane and has kept the integrity from the OG so it’s definitely not up against any of the newer MPC or samplers.
Sp12 turbo is 5 seconds 😂
Just think of all the hip-hop classics that was made with a even smaller windows like pete rock reminisce somthing about about a smaller windows makes you hear what's important faster this is all about clock work..
NGL I never used too much longer than that, only reason why I ever did was when I loaded in a long piece that I chopped sections out of and discarded the rest... Although on an mp, you're loading different programs, drums, sample, maybe some instruments, you don't really do that on the sp.
@@Melodic623 all you need
Is your mpc live 2 course available????
The modern sp1200 is the Polyend Tracker.
The fact that people think they “need this nowadays is crazy to me .
💯💯💯💯💯
Thank you so much brother truly means a lot
@@malobeats keep up the good work love your content 🙌🏻
3 sec left, keep in mind that the original SP1200 had half sample time of what this one have ;)
And the sp12 even less
Is zounds a US only store? & if you were considering your first MPC today, would you say a second hand MPC Live is a better option than an MPC One? If MALO or anyone in comments with hands on experience of the 2 devices can drop some info...?
I currently use Maschine, Logic and a bit of hardware (Roland boutiques &TR8s) but have never played an MPC. I really want to get a sampler that will replace my Maschine, that is completely standalone. I'm well keen on an MPC, but don't know if the Live or the One would be the better option for a total newb?
I like the additional ins and outs on the Live, but the One has a nicer form factor. I will be wanting to sequence hardware synths via MIDI mostly, and probably CV eventually which is a main reason why I think the Live would be best?.
It's the Live 1 not the 2 that I'm eyeing up btw.
Easier than sp404? I think since I owned a Mc303 is why I have the patience for roland products lol
👑👑👑👑
Wow. Ok. How does this actually work?
What album is that from
I didn’t realize it was mono. I wish I could afford this bad boy….😅
That a monstera in the corner?
Wish the newer MPCs had more outputs...
I use my Mpc to pre-chop my samples before I put it into the SP
I have the sp 12000 vst and im love it one day I will get the real thing
I got that sp1200 vst too. That's probably as close as I will get to the real thing. I like the vst though. I use my akai mpd218 as a controller for it.
@@tylowe78 so true 😂😂😂 I have 5 kids also mpc live 2 and the sp 404 mk2 ima be stuck with me
Lol. I was thinking about getting the MPc one. I have maschine mikro mk3 and it's straight. I mostly like maschine software and expansion packs more so.
@@tylowe78 maschine 🔥🔥🔥 deff ever since they got clips
@@thebl8nlyblatantnetwork yeah machine is nice. Definitely different but still has that MPc format.
Nice but why the Mac is much easy good history!
Have you ever seen this beat maker named Chief Rugged? You gotta check him out
Always was a fan. Just can’t afford
no time stamps? :(
This machine is 7k!?!?
i wouldn't be able to go back to hardware. i would finish zero beats lol.
Looks like this was only made to sample basic drum sounds. 12 bit probably got the drums smacking. Besides that the juice don’t seem like it’s worth the squeeze on this 1. U making it bang tho 🫡Keep on keeping on
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽💪🏽🙌🏽🫡
I'm still waiting for Mpc Stems standalone.🤔But I don't think it'll ever be implemented.
Keep believing I’ll tell you right now, we’re not too far away 🤔
First 10 seconds are ridiculous , straight gutter
Thank you 🙏🫡
wish it wasn't $4000 😬
That much damn No thanks technology going backwards 2.5 sample time in mono let that sink in
$3,999.00, you could buy 2 x MPC X.
trash the mpcs!!!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
