I highly doubt you can get a gold stick due to the fact that the packaging is not tamper proof. Corrupt store employees can open and search the package to see if there's a gold stick and close it back up like it was never opened.

In a tim hortons hockey card group I'm in the hockey cards are rumored to be coming in November. And an easy way to open those boxes is to use a butter knife and wedge it through top.
Those are pretty cool. One more reason I wish Horton's was down here in the States. I do agree that the tape parts are not that great but otherwise the detail is very good. Great video 👍
We have Tim Hortons here in Michigan. Unfortunately we don't get the Canadian promos like this. According to Upper Deck, McDonalds has a licensing agreement with the NHL in the US that prevents these promos. However last fall 3 US cities (Detroit, Columbus, Buffalo) had a trading card promo with Tim Hortons where you could get team specific card packs. They weren't anything great but I did put together the Red Wings set. I'm not sure how far Tim Hortons reach is in the US. A couple years ago I drove to DC and once I got south of Pennsylvania there were no Tim Hortons at all so I'm guessing they are only in northern states for now.

Hey, OP. If you want to open the box, without damaging it: Use the blunt/back edge of a butter knife. Slip it flat, under the lid and push the cut/shaped tabs of the lid towards the back of the box. Once the cut edges are clear of or/disengaged from the 2 under-tabs (the 2 tabs, on the body of the box, folded over underneath the lid), twist the knife (bringing the blunt edge/back of the knife up), so that the lid should pop up for you.

I have the whole McDonald's goalie set aside from the 3 ultra rare test runs they did. Can't justify spending hundreds to fully complete it, but I do have all the main ones. I had to get these. No gold stick for me either. This isn't something I'd buy over and over to try again for one, tho. I have my set, I'm happy.

Only hockey promo from tims I will ever get is the cards. Things like this just don't seem fun unless you're able to buy multiple at a time but even then, if you don't get the special one.... to me it feels like I'm better off buying their coffee or food with that money.

Who cares, most employees don’t care or have the time to check every box there’s also cameras in all of the Tim hortons. Also it would be hella suspicious if an employee won a golden stick so they would likely check cameras anyway.

Does anyone have a mitch marner mini stick locker that has a purple jersey, instead of the normal toronto blue? Because I have two Marner's & one of them has a normal blue jersey in the locker, & the other has a purple one instead.
