The mountains are green and the rocks are rugged, which makes people feel the grandeur of nature. This is the Yanshan Mountains.
Yanshan is one of the famous mountain ranges in northern China. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. It is gentle in the north and steep in the south, with narrow valleys, broken surface, and many rain-cracked gullies. It is divided into two sections, east and west, with Chaohe as the boundary. The eastern section is mostly low mountains and hills, with an altitude of generally less than 1,000 meters, lush vegetation, shrubs, weeds, and vast forests. The western section is a medium and low mountain area, generally above 1,000 meters above sea level, with sparse vegetation, and shrubs and grasslands. There are basins such as Chengde, Huairou, Yanqing, and Xuanhua between the mountains. The Great Wall was built along the ridge, and the situation was dangerous. Xifengkou, Gubeikou, Huanghuacheng, Juyongguan, Dongfangkou, Dushikou and Zhangjiakou are important passes of the Yanshan Great Wall. Since ancient times, they have been important passages from the north of Yanshan Mountain to the North China Plain.

It would be helpful to have a map of the route, showing start point, end point, and roads with their numbers. The first road sign seems to show you crossing G101. The next shows G95 14km away. And then there is a split between G101 and G95 (4:19), so perhaps we started on G101?. I am looking at a Google Map and can find Chengde, G101, G95, and Tanghsan, but I can't figure out where this video is starting. Without that I won't be able to follow where it goes. I would like to know this so I might someday make this drive. Thanks.
