1964-D Nickel Worth Money - How Much Is It Worth and Why?

Whether it’s an error nickel, variety nickel, or key date nickel, the nickels worth money are often worth big money - and I’m here to show you what to look for via a discussion of where the error or variety is on the coin and then close up pictures of it. This specific video is about 1964-D nickels worth money - these 1964-D repunched mint mark nickel coins can be worth $300 or more in the right condition! Best of luck finding one of these awesome 1964-D nickels.

Hi, should I polish the coin to clean it up? or just leave it as is. If it is worth anything.
Once you polish them up you will lose money, buyers love coins not cleaned at all.

So I found one of theese in my coin jar and I went down to my grandpa to ask if he had a nickel that I could compare it to so he handed me a nickel. BUT IT WAS LITERALLY ANOTHER COPY OF THE EXACT SAME NICKEL!!! So now I have 2.

How to sell this coin
I pulled my 1964 D full steps nearly flawless finish from my collection. Not sure how I want to go about getting it sold.
Dont sell it immediately. Look up coin shops in your area that buy and sell coins, preferably rare coin stores cause sometimes they will pay a little more. Just go to as many as you can and tell them right off the get start that you want to learn the value of the coin..avoid saying the word "sell" because it makes it seem as if you dont want to let it go and over some coins..that will most likely make a buyer start off with the fairest price cause they know they can resale it. also since you will most likely recieve their help for free(do not pay to have your coins looked at, a loyal buyer will do it for free)..ask some info on why the double stamped is rare or more valuable..something to where they can tell you their expertise on that coin...most if not 90% of coin collectors really do enjoy educating people on coins cause it's their profession or their passion.. so by doing that it will help you out in the long run. After you've been to atleast 3 shops(still go to another store even if the first says it doesnt have value and dont accept an offer until you've heard them all) or more then decide on who gave you the fairest offer. Also take into consideration that buyers take a 40% cut cause they will have to resale it and that's a part of business. I buy and sell coins all the time and I can guarantee this will help you get the fairest price. You did check it up on the video first before going out and selling it which is the smartest thing to do cause you always want to show them you know some things as in why the coin is valuable and they will take you more serious and not try to rip you off right away. I've been saving these and have a 100.00 box full of rolls and about 10 more i've pulled out of nickel hunts. I've been giving them away. No one has found an error yet. I mat start looking though them myself.
The errors are hard to find, but for those that like to spend extra time on the hunt I enjoy letting people know what they can look for! Let me know if you find one!
