  • NS 5815 was the days power for Norfolk Southern local C46 which works the Silver Plate branch 3 days a week. On this run they had one empty centerbeam to spot and 3 loads to pull from the only remaining customer on the line Cleveland Industrial Warehouse. The PRR had over 20 customers in 1.2 miles on this branch before the 1950's. You can still see evidence of 4 just on this one block. We first caught them pulling west by the industry at E45th st. I should have quickly relocated east to E49th st but I did not realize at first that they would have to pull down that far to get 3 cars out of the industry. We relocated to E33rd st to see them shoving back to the main. But they had to wait on NS 7266 leading CP and KCS power on a sand train before getting on the main. Then we headed west of downtown and they Cuyahoga River to catch them shoving into the yard on Whiskey Island. We stayed on the bridge to shoot a westbound mixed freight train and an eastbound local.
