Not perfect by any means, but still an amazing accomplishment for me. Believe it or not, this is the first time I've ever had WR in this category despite trying for over 2 years. It has been such an incredibly brutal and excrutiating grind, what with the constant bugs, chokes, and lack of motivation, but alas, I finally did it.
I'd just like to give a HUGE thank you to everyone in the Hitman community for getting me this far. Whether you are one of my mods, a chatter, a lurker, a follower, or just a passing observer; you've all helped me in some kind of way.
I will continue with runs of this category eventually for a sub-23, but first, I want to get sub20 NG+.

That guy is a bit of a meme, originating from Threeballer’s blindfolded runs because he doesn’t mind his own business.
Me calling him the “citizens arrest guy” is based on a standup routine from the Laugh Factory of the “Whitest thing I’ve ever seen.” In this routine, it describes a girl who made the honest mistake of taking the wrong elevator, but this one guy, not even a part of security, took it upon himself to prosecute her, despite no one else caring at all, and placed her under citizens arrest.
TLDR, we hate this guy because he’s the only guest that doesn’t mind his own business. He’s killed quite a few Devil runs

I've played Blood Money dozens of times, and I legitimately have no idea how some of these things were pulled off, incredible work
Is the steam version serviceable? It also just got released on Ios and switch so I am thinking of picking it up in some form or fashion...

The fact that this could theoretically be almost a minute faster is INSANE. This game's come a long way in the speedrun.
Yep, ultimate goal is Sub23 LRT, but who knows how long that’ll take. I’ve been on pace for it before, but something’s always gone wrong

Thanks! My former PB failed Devil a minute in, so as long as I didn’t fail, I knew I could save a huge amount there.
It was also a relatively recent strategy designed by WerCZ, slightly modified by me for runs.

Weirdest thing I learned about the game today is that you can have 5 dudes shooting at you, but as long as youre just getting shot at for trespassing, you still get SA 😂

Only if you have the suit. If you’re shot at while you have a disguise, it’s a cover blown. On you better watch out, I intentionally trigger them because hostile guards don’t find bodies

Hey Alpha; ridiculous run. Bravo. Curious about “You Better Watch Out…” How was it those guards chasing after and shooting at you didn’t reg as witnesses? Is that just a glitch or an intentional mechanic I never encountered when I played the game?
It’s basically an exploit to prevent a body found.
You’ll notice I will use a loud shot throughout the run to distract enemies. However, if I was spotted within 2 seconds after firing, the enemies would be hostile despite not catching me in the act. As a result, they will shoot me, but do not count as witnesses. We refer to this as a “Ghost Witness”
I use this mechanic to my advantage because hostile enemies don’t find bodies

I am curious about how the mine kills work. Because as far as I remember they don't count as accidents. Is it just about completing the level quickly enough after so that nobody finds the body?
Sometimes yes, like on A vintage year, till death, Murder of Crows, Death on the Mississippi, etc
But other times, the target is in a spot where their body will never be found, like Vinnie’s closet in A New Life or under the limo in House of Cards
@@alphabrother6823 Cool. I am probably never going to get to a level where I can get away with using that regularly. But to seeing that I can use it to kill Mark Parchezzi on Amendment XXV sounds pretty sweet. Working my way all the way through the west wing, sitting through the cutscene and then fighting him on the roof sucks.

Yo, sorry about that. I had originally replied to you days ago with a link and my settings, but I guess YT black holed it.
Anyway, you can either play on 4:3, or there's a link on the resources tab on the speedrun leaderboards. Put that file in your Blood Money folder, and you can edit the FOV and resolution there

pretty good run. Losing time because of an early flaw is better than losing time because of a late flaw like the one you have on DOTM. I'm pretty sure you can knock out your world record again. This game can mentally make you lose it because it's so good. Lol

This isn’t the 1st time someone has suggested this, and tbh, I’ve never seen a point to doing it.
Only thing 1st person does is pick up items slightly faster, some very minor things involving the camera, and it kicks you out of 1st person if you go to throw something

Why does the opening mission get skipped for this category? I'm assuming the community finds the cutscenes, tutorialization, and uncharacteristic linearity of the opening mission to be bad for running this game, but I'm curious if there's anything I'm missing.
I myself am not 100% certain as to why because it was an old ruling from before I started running the game
Basically, it’s lowkey the hardest level in the game to get Pro/SA on, and you’d have to do it without any health or armor upgrades. In order to do it even remotely consistently, it would take like 6-8 minutes or so, making it a nightmare to start a run with, and it wouldn’t be very friendly to new players
Nobody likes it, so we kind of agreed as a community to skip it, and nobody has complained since

I've started with Contracts and it was awesome. Been grinding those games just to make it all as S.A.
Blood Money was something else. Absolution is a mess. I was done after.
I once found a glitch code in H:C that gave me a long tube. Like those carton ones,
except it would knock people to the wall like a nail gun, possibly extending their limbs and stuff.
Never found out what it was and no source or tutorial on the internet. Any clues?
Found it. Back in 2008 there was nothing o the subject.

Why do you need to kill all three targets in Flatline?
Same reason why we get the briefcases and do the laptop on Devil.
All optional objectives must be completed in this category

Technically speaking, she is not an objective in the mission. If you pull up the objectives menu, she does not appear there, even if you eliminate her.
additionally, you get nothing if you do kill her. She isn't even mentioned in the newspaper
She is an extremely weird NPC. If you kill her before the cutscene with her, you don't keep SA. On rookie, if you look at the map after killing her, she has a red X, the color of a target. However, it does not appear on Professional despite targets being one of the only NPCs you can see on a Pro map.
Because of all this, we just made the ruling that she doesn't count. There's a bunch of quirky rulings like that, like not playing Death of a Showman, or not getting true Silent Assassin on requiem
