I read that Madonna had actually written "Hollywood" years earlier for Bedtime Stories(?). I bet she couldn't help but wonder if she would have had better success with it on the charts back then. I think all of us hardcore fans were anticipating it to be the huge song of the summer when American Life released. Instead, it was the lowest-charting single of her career at that point.

Some words you just say them or say it hard or strong maybe. We once heard a music teacher tell a boy to just say the lyrics in an Aerosmith song. We thought wow he can be a singer! He was all into being a roadie. We're like you can do it. Then we remembered he just asked him for help. HE didnt know how to do it, but you learn that way.

LOL they must know what they are doing. it's going fast for us.
