Don’t think you’re going get any satisfaction from your insurance company because your governor has made it easier for them to flip you the bird and will drag it out in court since Governor Meatball gave them the benefit of not paying lawyer fees if they lose. What’s has this guy done for the homeowner….nothing.
You NAILED IT! The moronic and useless governor never did anything for ALL the people in his state. He allowed the insurance companies to do whatever they wanted because he was accepting big donations from the insurance industry!
If you think home and car insurance premiums are crazy here in Florida, now they're really going to be crazy.
My son’s girlfriend and her daughter are now homeless for awhile her house she rented was wiped out and her sister car
Wow! I live in South Florida and was at the beach today! The weather has been absolutely gorgeous here for 2 weeks now. Funny how you can live in the same state, yet have very polar opposite weather happening at the same time. Prayer for all affected by the severe weather!
Wow! The damaged level by this storm is closed to hurricane Charles in Florida 2006.
It wasn't even CLOSE to a hurricane. Can people in Florida start wrapping their heads around the reality of global climate change and what it will mean. Folks - things aren't going to get any better, they'll just keep getting worse and worse and worse.
@Hs, Charley was way worse then this that was a cat 5 my son was in Punta Gorda when it hit a hotel they were in. Was real bad

I grew up in Tally, and last time I recall anything like this was Hurricane Kate in the 80s. I'm just glad family & friends back home are okay.
I lived through Kate and this. Oddly, this felt worse and the really bad weather only lasted about 30 minutes. Kate was hours of destruction and, yeah, it's bad here.
@@johncmoore416 I recall some pretty bad thunderstorms that were worse than Kate, too. Are you & yours faring okay?
@@TrineDaely Yes, we got power back last night a warm shower this morning was so needed. Now, it's try and get back to the rhythm of life until the next catastrophe.
This is reminds me of when Michael came through North Florida. I was watching the weather yesterday morning and I knew that there were warnings in Tallahassee but when I finally saw the damage it shocked me.
I went through Michael and this and Michael's totality was worse.
I hope they'll get the help they needed to rebuild thier homes and businesses. One of the most important things is that no lives has been lost.
I hade nothing to say 😑.
One person did die in Tallahassee after a tree fell on their home. 😢🙏🏾
God did protect them. They are all living. Have a great day!

This is happening world wide from east part to the west part of the globe. All happening right now are all Biblical. There is a reason why this happen because most of the people nowadays doesnt believe in God and dont have fear in God!
We are now in the era of global boiling.

@@TakeTheRidewait till hurricane season. Plenty of paper towels will be available.
@TakeTheRide
Oh stop. I don't think they are smart enough to understand.
Funny enough, these kinds of storms are caused by warm and cold air colliding, unlike hurricanes.
@@buckbenelli8 don’t worry Donald Trump will be throwing the paper towels
Pensacola here and wow that was a scary storm! Dog and I went into our safe space around 330am- woke us up!
Dang, Tallahassee looks like it's gone downhill pretty hard.
Tallahassee normally don’t get this type of weather. The hurricanes go west or east. Tally, the state in Florida with four seasons. Wow! Praying for Tally. Lived there off and on for a little over a year running from domestic violence. Tally took care of me.
Hopefully Meatball Ron will let all those displaced people live with him. Vote red to let insurance companies off the hook!
Praying for all who have suffered loss

Has DeSatan put on his Nancy Sinatra white go-go boots on to go out to check storm damage?
Its a screaming disaster ! I feel so bad for them .
Don’t worry the state and fema will have to help. We already know the insurance companies won’t pay
How many times are the rest of us supposed to pay for the fact that significant parts of Florida are becoming unlivable?
Why should MY taxes pay to fix that sh!thole?
Don't be depending on your state insurance coverage - an article I read less than 2 months ago in one of your Florida newspapers said that the state insurance program of last resort is in the RED, and I'm not talking about being a RED state. That means there isn't enough money paid into the state insurance program coffers to cover damages, period. And you haven't even gotten into the serious part of hurricane season for 2024. The damage done in this storm system wasn't a hurricane. Wake up and smell the coffee. You're not going to be protected under Republican "coverage" and for profit insurance corporations aren't going to cover you either, even if you could afford to pay them - which you can't. Folks who moved to Florida during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic are now trying to sell their homes because they, being originally from "northern" states - know what is going to happen. And they can't sell their homes for the prices they're asking for because new buyers are saying "We can't afford the insurance premiums." Something's going to have to give and it won't be the extremely rich who can afford to "self-insure."
Begging for FEMA $ in 30 seconds
Anyone that has or wants to live in and near Southern and Southeastern coasts need to realize that hurricanes and tornadoes are going to happen and your property is at risk of being damaged, that is why insurance is so expensive in these places. Some homes on the beaches are such huge insurance risks, they cant be insured because of their location. Also, planning a vacation in these places bear this in mind as hurricane season starts in June and can go through Oct tornadoes can happen year round. Coastal homes in these places may be less expensive than in NY or CA but the insurance definitely wont be and you have to have several types of insurance. I live 90 min from FL beaches for 67 years, visit frequently and have seen people build dream retirement homes or vacation rentals only to sell in 10 years or less, mostly because of the storms and rising costs. It is a predictable cycle.
insurance gas gone up 3x in places! I think I would learn to remodel and fix my home on my own!
And they say there’s no climate crisis
More electric cars=less hurricanes. Scientific fact.
Not at all. Left woke cult belief, sort of like Biden being great. I was in tornados since the 50s. Duh!
Because there isn't, severe storms aren't new. This is just spring like every year.
Save that comment for when we have an above average hurricane season. It might make sense then.
@scarpfish Hurricanes and these kinds of storms are completely unrelated weather events.

Does God has powers??
Dome roofing, that is the answer. Whether the insurance companies would allow that is another story. They could pay reasonable insurance premiums and not need to worry as much.
The answer is to get the hell out of any state that if below the old Mason-Dixon line. Don't believe me, that's fine. But suffer the consequences by ignoring reality of global climate changes coming to wipe your house and/or business, sooner than you think it could ever possibly happen.
The non-standard shape and all of the ramifications of having it would mean that you'd be trading a problem you might have to deal with for one you would have to deal with.

Been in three tornados in Michigan, but being in Destin, Fl last night, this seemed worse.
Just wait until the hurricanes come...
Who’s gonna pay for all that? I hope the insurance companies come to their aid. It is almost not worth living down there. I think North Carolina is the best place for retirement.
What about S. Carolina?
One woman has died because of this storm after s tree fell onto her home in Tallahassee
There is no rule stating tornadoes form only from mesocyclones.
Technically there is. Without a supercell/mesocyclone a true tornado can't form. However these types of storms can form QLSC'S which are brief violent spin ups of wind similar to a tornado.
I lived in Michigan over 70 years I did not see any Tornado
I’ve been in three devastating tornados growing up in Flint!
Too bad the storm winds did not shred and carry off Matt Gaetz and Co. No one likes him but he will probably end up as Governor if Floridians do nothing to stop it. And then we will have someone at the top more into his personal brand and social media presence than governing. The stakes could not be higher with weather events like this in context of the imploding-exploding insurance. Best wishes to all.

storms. Plenty of warning, Nothing new here. Yall are so dramatic.
Actually, we had NO warning. We were told it was a level 2 out of 5 risk. As a floridian for almost 40 years, we're used to severe thunderstorms. Hurricanes suck but they're just another thing. However, none of us were prepared for this. I would have never known a tornado was in my driveway had my son not woke us up screaming TORNADO!! I came close to losing my older two children who drove literally in it on their way to school because we had NO warning. We lost an innocent life during this storm. We're still without power, water, food, etc. My little community on the southwest side of Tallahassee is devastated and heartbroken. So, no, we're not being dramatic. We're thanking God we're still alive and working to get our lives back in working order!! Have a little more compassion and empathy!
