- One day my brother from another mother Rob said "Raj, you need to check out the Garden by Wendy" and I was like "Link me bro" and he did. So join me my Trinbago Vibes peeps as we visit the Garden by Wendy Lee Yuen, a plant shop/gardening store/plant nursery in San Raphael/Brazil as we check out the many variety of bromeliads and succulents for both outdoor and indoor, all on sale.

Rajeev thank you for show casing Wendy Lee Yuen's outstanding garden centre at St Raphael; (we lived at St Augustine from 1950-1953 )an wonderful collection of bromeliads, and cacti ;I would have liked to have seen more of the orchids; another jewel of delight's in the Island /Nation where my sister Diana acquired her love of plants and flowers from her parents who gave much of their leisure to gardening in their Caroni Ltd sugar estate company gardens; she later left Trinidad after working for Federation Chemicals as secretary to study floristry in London and did not return except for the occasional holiday; her memory lives in my heart and mind.
Thank you for sharing this David, it’s always interesting to get a piece of history from those who lived it…will do a video on orchids sometime as I know there is a plant show that highlights orchids in T&T

In days of yore my Mum would sell her cataleya orchids grown on coconut stumps to earn a little extra cash to a Peter Rapsey who had a nusery up somewhere ?? in the Northern Range Maracas way, I think who, in the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies was possibly on a smaller scale was what Wendy Lee Yuen is today.@@TrinbagoVibes

Indeed it is, I highly suggest you check out the google map link in the description, but once you heading south on the Talparo Road, after you pass through Brazil, there is a ranch like place on your right and the El Carmen turnoff is to your left before a sharp (almost 90 degrees) corner and you drive into a gravel road for about 3-5 minutes and midway you’ll see a building to your right and that’s the spot…if you call Ms Wendy, she can also WhatsApp you her exact location, I also left her number in the description

Vibes I recalled years ago reading in the express about this eco resort in the area where you could rent cabins. It may have closed down,if I can find any details I will pass it on.

Is the roads good for a low car?
Lol, I went with a Toyota Aqua (Prius C) and it was good, I mean I was anxious driving on the gravel road, but it was normal, anything lower than the Aqua however, I won’t recommend
