If there is life on mars forget nassa, its Keb Darge who will be the one to discover it! What a guy! He's been my hero since meeting him at the top of the world all nighters back in the mid 80s. I've still got the old C90 tape cassettes he done for me when every record was covered up! Always respected him for giving me the time to do the tapes. Be it northern, funk, rockabilly, or garage, Keb knows how to bring the cream to the top. Keep finding them wee bawldy man! 👍👍🛵
Great stuff some of these are on the Pebbles compilations and used to be played on the UK Mod scene in the 80’s when there was a psyche influence going on but back then we called it 60’s punk. There should be more DJ’s like Keb, top bloke 😎
Absolutely brilliant set! Only ever so slight complaint: the 45‘s appear to be noticeably fuzzier towards the inner grooves (as heard during the direct transitions). Setting up the tables for 7“s (only) would cure that, if done properly one can skip the antiskate altogether, too… but what a great set from a total legend! Would love to have you over to Norway for a few gigs (one Garage (yes, we have a club for that 😎), one Northern, one Freestyle Keb…).
We we're playing all this in 1981 at cafe a go go still playing it now at the subterranean at rats reef
