I love how all the footage in this video shows just how ineffective this thing is at cleaning. I bought the ol' Scunci Steamer, like, 25 years ago. It seems pretty clear to me that the design hasn't changed in all that time. The only thing pushing the steam out of the nozzle is the pressure of the water turning into steam inside the vessel, which means you only get a few seconds of steam blasts before all the pressure is gone and you have to let more of the water boil before you can pull the trigger again. All you end up with after using this is a wet dirty mess and you still have to break out the chemical cleaners and scrub brushes.
True.
Sounds like a defective machine, the increase in volume when water turns to steam is a 1700x increase. Meaning a 3 milliliter drop of water exceeds the available space in a gallon sized milk jug...
1000 watts applied to 3ml at a time with a one way valve means the steam should never stop.
Personally I fill mine with warm water just to be safe, but my 1500 watt Bissell delivers non stop steam.
@@jeremyg9305
Considering the latent heat of vaporization of water, 1500 watts is not as much as you think it is to convert 100°C liquid water into 100°C vapor. My 1500W kettle can bring 1.6 liters of water up to boiling in about 5 or 6 minutes, but would take all day to actually vaporize that much.
@@joshuaewalker water turning to steam is just the action of excess energy leaving the water if you only add 3ml of water at a time, the volume of water to cool by evaporation is less than the amount of energy required to change the phase of the water into steam.
It's just math really, watts translates into joules 1:1 and 1ml of water only takes ~330 joules to go from room temperature to boiling. So 1500 joules is overkill and the water is forced to turn into super heated steam.

Stick to your day job. Science isn't for you.
I never knew they had a product like this! I might get one to replace the use of Windex in cleaning my stovetop, countertop, and windows!
Nice, I was always wondering about these two. Now I'll get the one with attachments :D
We hope you enjoy it!
Great video thank you 👍 Suggestion to review other steam cleaners like the Karcher SC 3, Duprey One, Euroflex Vapour Pro and McCulloch MC 1385
Hey Vacuum Wars❤,just bought my Bissell cleanview and LOVE IT!!! Always watching you to see what you get into!😊
I would like to know how well it performs it's intended job. i.e. is it worth spending your hard earned money?. I love your channel, but I would prefer performance reviews. I get you were comparing one device to another, but I have often thought of a steamer like this, but I don't know if it actually works well.
Hi thank you for the video looking to purchase one question if know can u get the hose and sleeve separately and attach to the steam shot pro? Thank you for your time.
Can you review a cordless upright vacuum with HEPA filter? I'm on a hunt for one.
I usually love your videos, but this just feels like an ad. The conclusion part of the video is literally 15 seconds. There's no analysis or review? How is this not an ad?
I love your videos! Can you please compare multiuse steam cleaners like the Dupray Neat? 🙏
Speaking of steamers, would you ever do a review on the Mach V1 Ultra? Would love to get your take on that VS the Tineco S7 Steam
speaking of bissell, will there ever be reviews on electric/push power floor sweepers?
Why does the manual say that 10oz of water can be put into this yet the measuring cup has a line at 6.6oz?
I bought mine, the dark grey one, in Spain, where I live one or 2 years ago (I don't remember, sorry). I paid for it far more than any American would pay for it, but mine came with ALL the attachments that now are a prominent feature of the "deluxe" one. Very curious.
Can you do a vacuum wars on various steam and vacuum combos like tineco steam vs bissel hydrosteam crosswave and mach steam vac etc.
Can you use the attachments from the deluxe to the steam shot regular?
How effective are these at disabling attacking Robot Vaccums?
Like always the best reviews can't wait to see your review for ecovacs x2 to buy it or go for roborock
Yeah, I need one of these... Gonna get a deluxe 👍👍👍 thanks for the video
No problem 👍 Hope you enjoy it
Hey Vacuum Wars, I’m such a fan of your work. Could you please do a review on the new version of the Bissell Powerforce Helix? They say it’s new and improved but I would love to see your point of view
We can't make any promises but thank you for your suggestion. That helps us a lot.
Review on DEEBOT X2 OMNI Robot Vacuum & Mop??
Everytime amazing reviews. Any chance to watch a review about deebot X2?
Excellent review 🎉 miss the cat 🐈⬛ appearances 😂👍
Thank you! 😊
2:20. Where do we find Vacuum Wars merch on your website?
It's been a long time since we have had merch available. We're sorry, but thank you for asking.
I have one and it works well in the tasks I’ve given it, biggest issue I have however is for some of the jobs I would like to use it for would require me to keep filling water tank and also waiting for it to heat.
Its too small for some of my needs for a steamer.
What do you use it for
@@jayasmrmore3687 TBH nothing.
I would maybe use a bigger one to do windows seals, around tap fittings and grout but mine is small that it would take forever to get the job done.
@@simpsonauto850 it’s definitely meant for small surfaces
I used the Bissel steam and have to say that I was not satisfied with the performance it gave. It doesn't have enough steam pressure. The product description says something like 4,5 bar but the problem is that this pressure is not constant. It lasts maybe 10 seconds. Therefore, in my opinion, it is not suitable for larger jobs, it takes too long. Soon you'll be looking for something better like McCulloch MC1385 or similar.
What type of job were you looking to get done with it? I agree it’s not a good choice for cleaning acres of flooring but it can maneuver really nicely in small areas so it’s good for cleaning places like kitchens and bathrooms.
I bought the Aldi branded one for like $20. I just wish these small sizes had a bit more water storage. I get weight is a factor, but having more than 8 oz would be nice.
How is that one? I've been going back and forth about getting it or getting one of the Bissells from Amazon.
I want a vacuum attached to this also
Huh I had a similar product but found it did absolutely nothing to much of anything. Trying to work out now if that was down to me or if it was that it didn't have any of those neat attachmments.
Same here. Had the steamshot, only thing it did was hurt my finger with the small button it has.
me too! i returned it, i got it from amazon, didn't even heat much but for the price that's very predictable
As always, thank you!
Our pleasure!
I jist wanted to mention i just bought the steamshot power steamer extended release from walmart and it came with everything (including the hose) except the window cleaner. Literally thats the only thing missing. In case anyone is looking
What do you think of the Bissell Little Green Hydrosteam Spot Cleaner?
We still need to check it out!
Thank You!
You're welcome!
What abt mattress?
I got one but it dont put out any hot steam...I thought I was doing something wrong but there is only one Button to Push down
You have to sometimes shake it and maybe give it a couple more minutes.
I have the deluxe & love it! It was a great purchase.
We are glad you love it!
For those who own these, how do they *really* clean? In almost the footage above the before and after are practically identical. 🤔

@@joshuaewalkeryikes, good description, thank you. I was hoping this type of cleaner worked because I liked the concept.
@@joshuaewalkerthe subsequent times it doesn’t take as long to boil as the first time though
@@joshuaewalkeryou can simply mop up the wet mess with a microfiber towel
What am I doing wrong? I bought this for the tiles and the jacuzzi, and it had no effect. KABOOM loosened the dirt in minutes. The steamer did not loosen anything.
Are you giving enough time for the water to get hot enough
I don’t really see the point to have one of this at home. I don’t feel like the cleaning is impressive and can’t see use cases
To each their own!
I have it, and for me it's been very useful. I do not have the advantage of having other appliances, and this one has made me desire to purchase one of the Kärcher ones. The S series. With a good degreaser it literally melts the grease. It sanitizes my sinks, and with good chemical products, if you are weak, it supplies with the steam the lack of strength.
Thank you
You're welcome!
I think I need to buy the steamshot
Okay but the deluxe has such a nasty color...
ty :)
Wow! This new AI voice sounds very much like the original voice! Keep it up!
Still no Eufy Mach V1 ultra? Its a conspiracy....
Would this be good for Detaling a car?
We didn't try that so we really couldn't say. Maybe check with a car detailer.
SAME!
Please do more steamers
It doesn't look like it cleans anything. The drain has a yellow ring, you can't see the stove when it's done, no difference in the door rails, cant tell from the window, and the grout is too far to see. Can you redo this video and show better before and afters?
Links no longer exist
I have a question about your videos
Can you upload more frequently?please
Why does this get a video but the new cordless Bissell vacuum doesn’t? You’d get more views and make more money on the cordless vacuum, and it’d be useful to far more people.
First!
yes! 🏆
Gonna post this comment and say to all of those who are gonna complain about the new voices. Just stop. Just please, be quiet. I dont care if you dont like the new voices or not.
It doesn't bother me. The voices in my head change almost weekly
The new voices suck
Hey, Evil, I don’t care if you care or not. What will you complain about tomorrow?
@@sdcoinshooterExcellent point!
To be fair: even if you don't care, video creators DO (or should) care if their viewers are complaining about something, no matter how dumb it sounds. The fact that SO many people are complaining about the EXACT SAME THING suggests it's not just some petty squabble, and suggests a deeper and more complex reason this channel is so popular that the creators might not have realized. It should be taken seriously, no matter how stupid it seems.
