Fainting Goats vs Exercise Ball

- We decided to see if our myotonic goats, Ricky & Lucy, would like to play with an exercise ball since we saw other CZcams videos of goats having fun with them. Their first impression wasn't a good one. :) We ended up bowling for goats. Many have pointed out that they're ready to play soccer. When you want to exercise but...nope. Mannequin challenge.
The close up shot is my wife using an iPhone 6 Plus. The wide shot is me using a Sony HDR-CX405 HandyCam with optical stabilization.

Love how when they both got back up, they looked at each other, like.."is it gone, is it gone, are you ok?, I'm ok, what was that!",...too funny,..Godspeed, long healthy, happy life to them and all their kind, and their caretakers,....
There is no possible way that this could ever, and I mean EVER, get old! All day every day!
stripper name. no wonder your comment sounds trashy
@@jessekretkowski7045 your name is Jesse and you are being a dick for no reason. Get sun.
I'll admit, I laughed hysterically. Poor goats, evolution really screwed them
Well for starters if you want a basic example, antibiotic resistance in bacteria to increase their survival rates is an example of evolution and a permanent response to changes in environment. All evolution is is small changes to an organism in response to their environment who's summation eventually leads to a new organism.
Da Squirrel The irony is you are brainwashed and believe evolution without understanding how it's supposed to work or ever seeing any evidence. What's more ironic is that these goats faint because of a mutation. No beneficial mutation can ever effect new body plans. But land mammals became whales right? What a crock of bull. Open your mind. Evolution will be a dead disproven theory in a few decades.
@@lewiphinehas4422 lol you ever looked at a whales skeleton. I think you are the one who should dig deeper into evolution
Y’all are all wrong. It’s selective breeding. They faint so that the whole herd doesn’t get eaten. One or two “faint” so the rest can run away. Do some research 😂😂
@@lewiphinehas4422 Shut up boomer
Those two looked at each other and went: quick! Play dead!
Goat be like: Danger! danger!! i better run
Goat brain: No, let's petrify.
Goat: are you fucking kidding me? we need to run!
Goat brain: Nahh let's stay like this til' the danger dissapears
XD
you are one funny person :)
Zeesarh Wolfcrest 😂 turtle logic.
Zeesarh Wolfcrest sounds like my anxiety.
You actually take your Goats to a Public Park for fun? AWESOME
+The Stuport haha, no, that would be fun though. That is our back yard.
The Peahill Farm.....DOH....my mistake! I thought it was a Public Park....well anyways it's obvious that you love your Goats and I'm thrilled to have found your channel...I'm A Coming Back!! Cheers
+The Stuport Thanks so much!
When you're so rich people think your yard is a fucking park.
Tory Duda or...y'know...it's a farm...so they live out in the country where there's space...
HAHAHAHA, it's like bowling goats. Also, that lighter goat has some adorable stubby legs.
Oh dear that went down well then. I have to also admit that I laughed out loud, sorry goats. ❤
Your goats are very cute....I feel sorry for "fainting goats" ....must be a crazy life they live....but they are gorgeous !! And very funny....thanks for sharing them.....I had a good giggle
Thanks for sharing....this made me laugh out loud 😂😂😂
You can’t scare a goat without them going stiff 😂
Good thing wild balls are relatively rare on this continent.

This is sooooooooooooo funny. Wish I could have this as my screensaver!
Did not disappoint. Thank you for this.
I laugh so hard now! I must cry!!!
Thats so cool and funny!!

Goats:
"Be careful Billy, that looks a bit odd to me."
I've got a plan, let's take a closer look, but if something dont appear right you run to the left and I will go right.
(Ball Moves) What the heck? Run! ......Good plan Ted
I will never be able to have such goats, i will walk around the entire day and make them fall down and pee myself laughing every time hahahaa, shame.
are 8 year olds allowed to be youtube members?
This is so satisfying to watch! 😂
I feel like I should feel bad for laughing at them as easily as I do
bowling for mytonic... LMAO! I love it!
That is too funny! I laughed out loud for that.
Nailed that 7-10 split.

How can I laugh so hard and yet be sad at the same time???
The CZcams algorithm just made my day! 😂

I don't know why but this is got to be some of the funniest shitt I have ever seen I can't stop watching goats just falling over the same way cats just be going crazy over cucumbers this is fucking phenomenal
Bowling for Goats. Mannequin challenge. LOL, too funny.
Now that is a funny thought. Yep, bowling for goats, LOL.
If you had 10 of them, it would look like bowling!
Well I saw this video spreading all over the internet and I finally found the original one myself 😂😂 they should at least include the source in their captions btw
Paz Buala-or I couldn't agree with you more!
Let's do something nice for our Goats...
Too Funny! hahahaha
+Summer A We really thought they'd like it! :) We were a little disappointed they were scared of it, but at least Wes had fun with it: czcams.com/video/3HqlPMXSQd8/video.html
The Peahill Farm - I am sure you did - that's what's so funny. Our expectations vs the reality
(the fainting - lol). Ah..thanks for linking the second video...seems all was not lost...Funny though sometimes it's the simplest things that keep our furry creatures occupied.
You are Good parents...And they are very Cute Goats! Cheers!
+Summer A Thanks
How very interesting very hyper sensitive reaction from such a seemingly resilient creature
Flopped harder than a footballer. Less screaming, tho...

When compared to soccer players, these fainting goats are more genuine and realistic when they fall over for little to no legitimate reason. When soccer players fall over for no reason, they 'seem' to be experiencing much more pain and suffering, even though its usually even more obvious that they weren't really hit or injured in any way.
It's funny, because, in most sports, you want to make sure that new draftees or veteran free agents aren't injury prone. Meanwhile, In soccer, the team managers want players who 'appear' to be EASILY injured!! Lol
They loved that ball😂
A new sport! Fainting goat bowling.
Some how i just new that was going to happen ! BUT i still had to see it hhaha!
Amazing. On one hand it is so hilarious. But on the other hand I feel bad for them. The ball nearly scared the life out of them.
I'm glad I saw that , would never have believed it.
It was like… bowling with goats
I suffer from the same disease in humans. It's rather painful when the muscles get locked. Don't frighten the poor sweeties too often!
+Cornelia Loos We're sorry to hear that. Thank you for letting us know. To be honest we never frighten them on purpose and never let our guests do it either. Even in the exercise ball video we were hoping they would get excited and head butt it back or play I'm some way.
I suffer from cataplexy with narcolepsy, is that what you suffer from or something else?
Goats faint from anything, even if it’s thunder
Yeah we have goats too we don't frighten them. Gives them bad taste when cooked
Thomsen or Becker type?
goat.exe has stopped working
When natural fight/flight reflexes take a disastrous turn.......
I thought it was sooooo hilarious 😂 and adorable little goats 🐐 at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???? They are so weird
Why do they do this??? What a weird defence mechanism they have...
Carlos whenever the goats are feeling distressed or scared, there legs lock and they normally fall over
A myotonic goat, otherwise known as the fainting goat, is a domestic goat whose muscles freeze for roughly 3 seconds when the goat feels panic. Though painless, this generally results in the animal collapsing on its side. The characteristic is caused by a hereditary genetic disorder called myotonia congenita. When startled, younger goats will stiffen and fall over. Older goats learn to spread their legs or lean against something when startled, and often they continue to run about in an awkward, stiff-legged shuffle. The goats do not truly "faint" in any sense of the word, as they never lose consciousness.
They were bred and integrated into herds so that when they were being chased by a predator, one would be left behind rather than, say, a wolf that could harry and wound multiple goats before taking one down.
The 'fainting' breed also tend to be a bit smaller than the common livestock to cut back on loss.
I'm 44 now and when I was little goats never fainted like the goats of today. Something is wrong.
Their muscles lock when scared or excited etc
That is hysterical!!!
animals deal with confusion so well, ''whoa that was another weird thing''
HAHAHA funny goats😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks oldmanwillakers for this?
I have to wonder how this can be an advantage when predators are around. It’s like an invitation to dinner.
The fainting goats fainted? Wow, didn't see that coming. lol
Goat bowling!
0:13 Goats Emergency stop :D
Precious 😄
They always make me laugh
Goaling.
loved it.
Pure Gold 😂
This is cute!
Isabella A Rossellini Thanks! These two goats are cute all the time, hopefully I'll have more footage of them being cute posted soon. Stay tuned!
It's like you used the paralysis spell in Skyrim on them
Aw it’s a sin for them! Even though they are perfectly safe things as harmless as a rubber ball scare them! They are so cute and we must protect them at all costs!
Hello! If I share this on Facebook with a funny caption do I need to specify the source? Thanks
Monica M Yes, that would be awesome if you could include a link to here. Thank you so much for asking! Here is a short URL you can use. czcams.com/video/_JF0Jys5ITc/video.html
They reverted to their t-pose
Turns out goats are not the GOAT in evolutionary terms.
Very funny 👍👏👏😘
When you use the gmod statue tool on a ragdoll
Why are the falling ?
They must have the dodo bird gene!
"NON-CONTACT GOAT BOWLING"!!!
Have fun with goats they say, play with a medicine ball they say
Haha that would have been a good title
New Olympic sport - synchronized fainting.
Soccer players getting "injured":
you know how when you try to tap a key on your keyboard so fast that you just start holding it down? i think that's basically what happens to their legs. they're trying to run away so fast that they end up not even moving them.
I'm going to identify as a fainting goat and apply for disability
Makes ya wonder , how did this species breed survive ? You would think they would all have fallen off the mountain ages ago.
That is so funny!!!!
ボーリングのピンになり代わって倒れて見せるなんて優しいヤギだね。
I think you should return your goats back to shop, they may be broken
if a mountain goat got petrified...
It's Boxing Day for me
Nice ragdoll physics of 2020
They called bowling pin goats and it's a strike.
Didn’t go 20…lol 😂
fainting goats lol, completely harmless to them to
Hit the deck!
Looks like The Brazil mens soccer team.
Strike !
What kind of survival technique
Does it hurt the goats when they faint? I've tried looking it up and nothing came up
Most say it doesn't, but we still don't do it to them on purpose. This article ( en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fainting_goat ) calls the disease myotonia congenita. The article for myotonia congenita ( en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myotonia_congenita ) says it's not usually associated with pain. Our goats don't faint much, but when they do they don't usually seem any more distressed than before they fainted (since usually it's something scaring them or exciting them that does it). When they faint from excitement it's almost like nothing happened once they get up. In this video ( czcams.com/video/xNiQrJxBDD8/video.html ) I think Virginia almost looks annoyed that she got slowed down on her way to dinner. :)
The Peahill Farm ok thank you :)
