      Morse code isn’t a code, it’s technically a cipher.
There is a lot of discussion in cryptology and cryptography about this topic. The general gist is that you first “decipher” or “decrypt” the incoming dots and dashes into letters and afterwards decode into full sentences or words since the messages are coded.
      For example
S O S is code for Save Our Souls
      But “encrypting” it would be … _ _ _ …
The reason why it’s technically “encrypting” or “ciphering” is because you are replacing each letter with dots and dashes. Why it’s technically not “encrypting” or “ciphering” is because there is no algorithm nor any mathematical involvement.
Also the guy was clearly joking around.

Morse code is useful for hackers or anyone want to be one they should learn it and it could be useful in some situations life gives you like people forcing to say something good about them but you secretly tell people who understands morse code that they’re torturing you and everyone with you and that’s what exactly happened to a navy soldier who learned morse code and use it against Vietnam that they’re torturing him instead of good hospitality…I guess?
tho Americans attacked first that is so weird anyway and yeah that’s why you need to learn morse code and that’s all peace.
