In my opinion, Project Sekai vocal usually hits the original. It gives the goosebump feelings when we hear it. While for Bandori, instead of trying to mimic the vocals of the original they sing in their own unique voice. Well both of them are good in their own ways
I think the one that is really similar between the two is Happy Synthesiser. They're both almost the same in instrumentals and vocals, which is hard to decide
@@limonero9577 really? Happy Synthesizer's Bandori cover is very different instrumentation-wise to me; something about the chiptune being the way it is pisses me off since I knew the Vocaloid instrumentation first
Yukina's voice on Charles and Six Trillion is just so powerful. The emotion she carries in her voice when she sing them is just amazing. I mean The arranging on both songs are really well done
Proseka has that more recorded type of sound instead of a live sound like performance instead and it's honestly pretty good and for bandori you can just feel their emotions in their voices and has that feeling where you're like right Infront of them but both are equally good
guys remember that opinions are just that! as a bandori and proseka player, i do appreciate strong vocals simply because im biased towards rock that’s why i tend to prefer bandori’s covers over prosekas. however that’s doesn’t automatically mean that proseka’s version is bad as they actually gravitates waaay more close to the original song in general so i believe is a matter of what you actually like!
Honestly the only differences that really bug me with Bandori songs are that so,e of the voices don’t sound clear. The prsk version sounds way more clearer and even if Bandori has a reason for doing that, it’s just such a huge turn-off. Another thing is, the instrumentals are really low in some of the Bandori songs.
It’s probably because bandori makes their own instrumentals (Members of popipa, roselia, morf and ras can play their instruments, and iirc ras does the instrumentals for the aglow, pasupare and hhw as well). Hence bandori instrumentals tend to stand out more I suppose. Prsk seems to like toning down the instrumentals as well, and for their covers they mostly use the instrumentals in the original song
@@soulnha Exactly. They didn’t make this video to say “This cover is better and if you think otherwise you are wrong”. It’s just an opinion. It’s fine to compare to covers and to state your opinion on which one you like better.
As someone who plays both games, I have to say it's a 50/50 for me because some of bandori covers to me sound chunky and some on pjsekai flat and lifeless. Of course this only applies to some covers like lost one's weeping for example, the pjsekai version sounds very flat to me while the bandori one has more emotion. Another example is for king, the bandori cover has a lot of emotion but is really aggressive which makes me enjoy the pjsekai version more since it's also closer to the og version. Keep in mind this is only my opinion so please don't get offended from my takes!
What aspect of King did you find aggressive? If it was the vocals, its probably coz Yukina is known for having a very very powerful voice. If it's the instrumental, I think its because Ako was seriously killing it, jokes aside bandori doesn't use the original instrumental and creates their own so it sounds like their own.
most of the songs, project sekai for me takes the win. don’t get me wrong, i love bandori’s covers but some of them sounds off. for example yoru ni kakeru, the bandori’s cover sounds more cute and kawaii, which doesn’t fit with the theme at all because the meaning of the song is actually very deep and sad. if you listen to kanade/project sekai’s cover instead, you can actually hear the pain in her voice, like if she’s suffering and is letting all of the pain out, even better if you listen to the full cover. there were some other songs where bandori’s covers were better for me, like dramaturgy where they sound more powerful, roki, rettou joutou and buriki no dance. i only listen a few, but there were some more.
@@srpskimanul i think op just said about the Yoru ni kakeru cover being too "cute" for the meaning behind it Why do you question about Rachell and Yukina when the song are cover by Pastel*Palettes ?
As a Vocaloid fan first that's passionate about the producer side of it, and a Sekai fan second... most Bandori covers are really unappealing to be because I genuinely do not like the rearrangements- like at all. Buriki no Dance, Romeo and Cinderella, Venom, 1 2 Fanclub, Butterfly on Your Right Shoulder, Setsuna Trip, Amanojaku, and Spinal Fluid Explosion Girl's rearrangements do actually work for me. I really do think they're good. However, the rest for me are at best weird because it's not what I'm used to or at worst really unpleasant (looking at you Happy Synthesizer- truly awful for me). I don't think I would have gotten into Sekai if they didn't use the original instrumentals most of the time (the three times they haven't were all Leo/need, two of which were done by the original song producer). The reason why I liked these songs in the first place was the composition by the song producer so to heavily alter it takes away from what I enjoy about the songs. Wagakki Band remains the only ones who can get rearrangement covers to work for me consistently. Maybe because their covers are even more different than Bandori's? Bandori's approach could be my brain's uncanny valley for rearrangements. 🤷 This isn't an attack on Bandori fans, I'm just a Vocaloid fan that is way too used to the Vocaloid original so any major changes like that makes my brain feel weird because it feels WRONG. I did actually think Bandori had the better BRING IT ON cover until the VBS CD released and fixed how bad the game version was. Now it's back to being too different for me to really get any enjoyment out of it.
Yes I have to agree, Bandori is more focused on bands while Pjsekai focus more on vocaloids songs. It's kinda annoying when people say that Pjsekai cover is bad when they like bandoris covers more, Bandori changes it instrument to matches what their game is about, while Pjsekai is a Vocaloid featuring game.
@アル I don't think it's a mess actually, the 3 characters just got more lines than they had before, this was probably the best line distribution that they did to leoni as for daybreak, idk because i haven't heard both covers yet.. but it's fine if you have a different opinion than me, it's understandable
@@bigchongus5140 I was soo excited for amanojaku to come out in pjsekai but i was kinda disappointed when I heard it ngl the chorus is just lacking :( they could have let some other unit with a stronger vocal to cover it . I am surprised that there is actually people who enjoyed it yall have a wide taste of music (ღ•͈ᴗ•͈ღ)
The most iconic (or most off putting, your opinion) aspect of Bandori covers is that they really take a song and make it their own. Afterglow’s Roki, Roselia’s King (fine, I’m a bit -ish about this one, but you can’t deny Lisa’s bass really took the show), and RAS’s Bring It On all sound as if they were originally theirs. They really take a song and make it their own with both the vocals and instrumentals, which can be both a strength or weakness, depending on the song/kind of person you are. This is one of the main reasons I prefer Bandori’s covers over Prosekai covers. Prosekai covers (IN GENERAL) seem much more bland when compared to Bandori covers.
Some covers actually changed the whole composition (?) into a whole new genre, like Asu no Yozora Shoukaikan by Afterglow or A Cruel Angel's Thesis by Roselia. Whether it's good or not, it depends on the listener
Kinda off topic but I’m a bit scared about what you’d say about D4DJ covers, with them changing every song they cover into EDM and all… (they’re still so good tho, some of their covers are even better than Bandori’s and PSekai’s combined) /nm /lh
Bandori has lots of good original music ^^ I really recommend Firebird (Roselia), CORUSCATE -DNA- (RAS), Neo-Aspect (Roselia), One of Us (Afterglow), and sunny bright pikarinrin♪ (HHW). /lh
There are many good originals though. Some originals i like: pappare jinsei banbanzai, happy happier happiest, red x violet, uchapa de pappi ka pon, sunkissed rhodonite, avant garde history, R, opera of the wasteland, exist, hey day capriccio and many more. My personal fav is pappare jinsei banbanzai, because its so catchy but red x violet is a close second
Bandoris is nice but all of their vocals are either cute and light or sound like a grown tenor woman, while prosekai has many different voices Also all the bandori girls who have a tougher voice sound like they will crack any second
compared to bandori the main vocalists have so much experience performing live. an example of a “tough voice” can be layer. her va sings live while playing the bass and still sounds like the studio recording lmao you dk what you’re saying
Not true, Mashiro has a very flexible voice although she sounds cutesy, its just a shame that she can't show that off just yet because bandori hasn't given her a chance to shine. Bandori vocals are legendary because they are just so powerful etc. Ran, Yukina. In some songs, they might sound strained but you also have to keep in mind that the main vocalist has to fight with the sound of 4 instruments as their background music whenever they sing.
I used to not like Bandori covers at all, I thought they sounded a bit strained and muffled personally. Now however, I really do like alot of Bandori covers. I like how they aren't afraid to go dramatic, even if it doesn't suit the song, they still go all out, emotion is there. Charles for example, I like how they changed the key. I do still like the clean, more subtle covers of Project Sekai though, because with songs they know are more sensitive, they keep it that way, like Yoru Ni Kakeru, which although a cute song, a much deeper meaning
Proseka uses the original instrumental so they use the same style as the original and all, if not most proseka characters sing so the vocals more "relaxed" in a sense. Bandori on the other hand uses their own instrumentals and most of the time the main vocalist has to fight with the instrumentals so it sounds strained. Knowing how powerful bandori vocalists are, they tend to have more impact and emotion.
Bandori feels very 'one style' to me, I think proseka is so good because it embraces loads of different styles, rather than other rhythm games, who focus on just one type of singing (not just bandori, enstars are all idols for exaple), so I like that about it! I think bandori is very good in its niche though- they capture the rock style very well :]
Not every band in Bandori focuses on one type of singing. Morfonica, Pastel Pallettes and HHW vocals are drastically different compared to Roselia, Afterglow and RAS, with Popipa being in the middle.
bandori covers (and music in general) just makes me feel more for the characters, their voices show better and because they actually recreate the music into rock, you can feel the bands’ vibe and feelings. i enjoy a lot of the pjs covers but i think bandori puts more emotion into their songs
People need to take in consideration the differences in music between both games. One game if full of bands and another is full of idol groups ( except for Leo/need) ofc they’re going to sound different from each other because in one game the characters actually play instruments and in one they don’t. To be able to properly judge the songs you need to listen to the full song and really compare them based on your liking. I hate when people say bandori’s cover songs sound off when they really don’t. It’s just the difference in music.
Wow, I don't play Bang Dream but, their covers are so powerful. I mean, their voices uhh I don't really know how to describe it, it sounds like they're screaming every lyrics, it sounds really strong and powerful. It's cool. It's like Bandori's covers sounds hyper or something while PjSekai is calm 😅
Yep, bandori vocalists have very powerful/impactful voices they also use their own instrumental which makes the cover sound like their own. Proseka sounds "calmer" because they just follow the original instrumental and style.
bandori has some awesome covers (like buriki no dance and rettou joutto)!! but something about the way the songs are mixed irks me. both games have awesome covers though let’s be honest here
Even though I’m a Sekai player and barley plays bandori, bandori’s cover just feel more special the instrumentals very gives the songs more vibe. Bandori wins!
I personally really like both games, but in my personal opinion, Bandori takes the W for most of these covers. I live for the band type feel that bandori offers. And while I believe Project does have its strengths, it’s lacking in a lot of its covers. Take “The Vampire” Cover. I thought Popipa won by a landslide. This is because Project Sekai’s version was incredibly underwhelming in my opinion. There wasn’t much done; they just threw an instrumental on the table and did the bare minimum.
I respectfully disagree with your opinion about Vampire. I personally think Poppia's cover is much worse mainly because Kasumi's voice sounds too childish and high-pitched here.
@@JupiterHeart she's doing well actually, Aimi took a two month off and she's doing better now. I guess the reason why she still covered the song is because Vampire was one of the covers that was going to be released during Bandori's Anniversary.
I like both! But since I'm not a big fans of rock(not rock but like band like?) I prefer Pjsekai since I like safe vocals and how clean the vocals are. But I understand, bandoris is a band like game(again I'm not really sure what to call it), so they have main vocalist for each bands. So I can't really like it because their most song is covered by one person, but I must say their vocals just radiates chaotic loud energy which make me just bang my head haha. And Pjsekai is just my cup of tea since most of their song are sing by different people and different types of bands(idols, street performers, other I'm lazy to remember), and their voice are the safe one(which I like since I'm not that big fan of loud voices).
I feel like I like pjsekai's covers more in general, but that's either because I like the original instrumental or because I have a bias towards sekai. Here are some exceptions(either the bandori covers i like more or ties): Dramaturgy(it's a tie,but I'm used to the eve version and to covers,so having Miku there feels weird) KING(i got tired of the original instrumental after the boom it had within vtubers) Rettou Joutou(pre-album release it was a bandori win,now it's a tie) Lost One's was a bandori win until they released a 2DMV,now it's a tie(it made me understand that the "lack" in power I felt is because they aren't trying to be Neru's Lost One's,but it's own thing) Rokuchounen
honestly im biased towards some of the bandori covers purely because of nostalgia. yes, it may not be objectively better to base my judgement off personal memory, but coming back, it hits way different. sorry if your opinions are different.
Personally I think : Happy synthesizer: bandori ( pastel palettes) Roki :sekai ( Leo / need ) Charles : I love both but sekai just about ( nightcord25 ) Love trial : definitely sekai I love Airi’s vocals the song suits her so well ( more more jump ) Retou Joutou : bandori for sure ( raise a sullen ) Buriki no dance : both are really different , sekai for sure because I love Rui’s vocals ( wonderland x showtime ) Dramaturgy : sekai Ichika sounds great ( Leo/need ) King : sekai easily Rui aaaaa I ship Rui x Tsukasa and they sound amazing in this song ( wonderland x showtime ) Night sky patrol of tomorrow: both are great but sekai is my favourite, Ichika’s vocals are amazing ( Leo/need) The vampire : sekai because Airi’s vocals makes it sound less cutsie ( more more jump ) Romeo and Cinderella: SEKAI not that bandori’s is bad in any way but Shizuku and Airi’s vocals are PERFECTION they sound AMAZING( more more jump ) Lost one’s weeping : bandori , ran sounds so good !!! Leo/ need’s doesn’t sound great… lost one’s weeping is one of my favourite vocaloid songs in the world and I’m a massive vocaloid fan , I love the original wayyyy more but bandori’s isn’t bad at all ( afterglow ) Venom : sekai ,Mizuki and Ena sound AMAZING ( nightcord25) Kageuri Pieroet: sekai , it’s such a good cover ( more more jump) 1 2 Fanclub : sekai ( wonderland x showtime ) Goodbye Sengen : bandori ( afterglow) Six trillon years and overnight story : difficult but sekai ( Leo need) Into the night : sekai (nightcord ) Thanks so much for this video !!!!❤❤❤
I've play Bandori first before Proseka. There are some songs that I heard earlier in Bandori. But, Proseka has a softer vibes than Bandori which i like.. My opinion: Happy Synthesizer - Pasupare Roki - Afterglow Charles - 25ji Renai Saiban - MMJ Rettou Jattou - VBS Buriki no Dance - RAS Dramaturgy - Afterglow (x Kasumi) KING - WxS Asu no Yozora Shoukaihan - Leo/need Vampire - Popipa Romeo and Cinderella - Popipa Lost One's Weeping - Afterglow Venom - 25ji Karakuri Pierrot - MMJ 1, 2, Fanclub - WxS Goodbye Sengen - Afterglow (It's hard to choice) Rokuchounen to Ichiya Monogatari - Roselia Yoru ni Kakeru - 25ji Sorry for my bad english!
it depends on the song for me, songs that are originally rock style or have a band in the background 90% of the time i prefer the bandori version. songs that are more electronic sounding i normally prefer sekai. but honestly, i cant choose one game’s songs over the other
Ok, ok hear me out here, and don’t murder me for this, but overall I prefer Bandori’s covers. Sure Project Sekai’s covers sound really nice, especially the mixing, but Bandori’s just feel so much more full of life, and their vocalists have really powerful voices(especially Yukina and Ran, they’re actual goddesses). Plus I just prefer hearing one voice instead of multiple at once( but I love Sekai covers all the same) and I love the alternate instrumentals in bandori, even if they can be a hit or miss. Don’t get me wrong though, this is only for covers, and not all of them either, for example wondershow’s goodbye sengen just sounds so much nicer than afterglows for me, and also I still prefer project sekai overall too. -Also can we just talk about Yukina’s voice like omg the first time I heard it I was shaking on my knees it was so powerful and you could feel the emotions Yukina solos your faves btw-
It is really hard to vote for me. I played both games and all of the covers are incredible. The thing that is hard to compare is bandori aim more at the change in instrumental too not just singing cover (live stage). While prsk is covering song which for me makes the recording and mixing more clear (utaites). They have different approach which also makes them charming in different way. I love both franchises though, banger. It’s also fun to see other people opinion with this type of video >< ❤
I'm really glad they tied actually. In my opinion, the Project Sekai covers have a lot of emotion, and neither the BGM nor Voices are over each other too much. Bandori also has a lot of emotion, but more often does the voice overpower the music and it sounds off this happened to both groups as shown in Romeo and Cinderella where the voices for Bandori are somewhat hushed, but in MJJ's group, the voices slightly overpower the song. The voice actors for both games did a really good job. And Bandori songs aren't always too clear compared to PJSK. I think the covers for Leo/Need songs fit very well for Bandori. (As someone who doesn't play Bandori, only watches gameplay because of storage so I'm not familiar with the Band names) But I think the opinions in the video were very well placed for each song.
For me every 25-ji cover song is a banger, they literally have the voice every member is perfect, I don't see any mistakes or minus on their cover songs. I can say 25-ji is carrying PuroSeka Cover song's they're the same like Roselia carrying Bang Dream Cover song's And every Song's that they've sing, is fit on their band personality, if you understand Japanese you might know what I mean, if you understand the songs is really fit to 25-ji
Saying there are no mistakes is an extreme exaggeration. For example in their Phony cover, Kanade's voice was really breathy and didn't sound nice. For Omote Dissection, the vocals just sounded awkward.
Yeah, Project Sekai's covers sound way too close to the original, while the bands in Bandori give it their own style according to the band that is covering
Both types have their own advantages and disadvantages. Bandori feels more original, but my ears hurt and they can be a swing and a miss sometimes. Meanwhile, PJSekai is closer to the OG, but feel moe bland, especially when the most they usually do is change the key of the instrumentals.
I have been playing Bandori for some time but I was thinking about switching to Proseka. Looking at all of the groups and listening to their covers I think Ima switch. My fav Proseka group for now is WonderlandsXShowtime
I havent played bandori but srsly after watching this i love their vocals sm, their cover songs is so unique but some of 'em is a bit low cuz the instruments is lower(?) than their vocals (instruments still sound great) Bandori may be win my heart this time but still have my love for purosekai, love both of the games :]] there were songs that i had to vote both of 'em lmao
I like them both. Bandori and Pro.Sekai are both good in different things. Bandori is better at blending voices and having a more original sound (as they make their own music, while sekai uses the original, and sekai really needs to work on voice blending). However, Sekai is better with conveying the original emotions in portrayed in the song, and making it sound like the original.
For me it depends. Some songs are better with bandori's emotional voices, while others are better with sekai's smooth voices. And then there's tsukasa's voice. I live for tsukasa's voice
For me project sekai takes the win since I mostly listen to songs base on their instrumentals and not the vocals and since project sekai instrumentals are clearer and has more base (I LOVE BASE ESPECIALLY IF YOU PUT IT IN SPEAKERS AND BOOMBOXES) so project takes the win for me.
for me, bandori's cover is better, the instruments are different, its like they're playing the instrument which is really unique but both are good tbh, i mean if u play sekai more then you'll get used to sekai cover more than bandori covers, i play both of them but ive been playing bandori for 2 years so i got used to bandori covers more
I’ve played bandori first and now I play prsk much more, but I love both games still. Heres my opinions ig sorry for the massive ramble imo: Happy synthesiser: bandori Roki: BANDORI BY A LOT. I love the full version so much, from the vocals to the instrumental, though since i’m a mocaran oshi so i might have some bias Charles: bandori again, yukina nailed the high notes Renai Saiban: prsk Rettou Joutou: bandori. prsk cover is a bit of a mess for me buriki: bandori Dramaturgy: Bandori, i dislike the prsk cover so yea KING: BANDORI. same case as prsk lol… Asu no yozora: bandori…. I like rans voice way too much if you can tell Vampire: I think i’ll give this one to prsk, I don’t like how kasumi sounds so squeaky in the bandori cover. (minoai alt vocals are amazing btw) R&C: a tie for me, i love both a lot Lost ones Weeping: AFTERGLOW AFTERGLOW AFTERGLOW AFTERGLOW AFTERGLOW AFTERGLOW BANDORI BANDORI this is bandori’s best cover and my favourite lost ones cover all time. nothing can beat ran mitake Venom: I used to like the bandori one more but the mizuena cover grew on me so sekai wins this one. Mizuki slayed Karakuri: Idl the prsk cover, so bandori. The minoharu alt is very nice though Yi aru: sekai. I think this cover is just better for group songs Sengen: Tie for me… I kind of like both covers (I don’t like emu in sengen tho… the voice does sound a little strained imo) Roku Chounen: Bandori for that amazing instrumental.. ngl when the video switched to the sekai ver I almost sneezed 😭 I’m sorry ichika, I still love you lots Yoru Ni Kakeru: Tie! I like both. I do use nene alt vocal in sekai though but that’s just because nene is my #1 In conclusion bandori covers slay more for me,, I think the instrumentals really make them stand out. All 7 main vocalists in bandori (Ik mashiro isn’t here though shhhh) are also super super good, hence bandori wins here. I play sekai much more now but I will always love the songs in bandori
My opinion, is that both are good. I never really played Bandori. But that Roki cover ngl is pretty good in my opinion. I see that you really like the Bandori cover, for Lost One’s Weeping. I personally like the original. Rin just really fit that song for some reason.
@@Zetourayaka_0_00blank Ohh yes the original for lost one's is very good as well! I do like it too but bandori still wins for me 😅😅 I guess I really like the natural band sound in bandori covers and Ran's voice. Also ooo a kanade fan! Kanade is one of my favourite niigo members, I think she's super cool!
I played Project Sekai before I played bandori, however, I like Project Sekais covers more, bc i feel like the instruments added in Bandori covers kinda feel extra imo, in Prsk, the covers are still fun like Bandoris. THO, I really love Bandoris king cover, but Ruikasa cover also did well. Imo I like hearing og instrumentals more, both covers of the songs are fun but Prsks covers feel more fun. I wonder what an Bandori Ego Rock cover would sound like (unless Ego Rock was a commission song)
Depends on how loud the instrumental is, they tend to sing louder than the instrumentals (in roselia's cover of king, ako's drumming is almost as loud as yukina's voice)
im not super familiar with pjsk but it doesnt sound like they usually make full band covers of the songs they cover. Just the fact that bandori makes actual full band covers of vocaloid songs is such a treat
yeah pjsekai usually goes closer to the og song because the game is more centered around the vocaloids, in some of the leo/need clips you can hear miku singing along
i scored it myself as well and it's a tie lol, but one thing i noticed that i gave my points more on Roselia's covers vs Leo/need's (except on asu no yozora shoukaihan, gotta give it to Ichika lmao)
as a bandori / pjsekai player, between both of them the instruments are different and we can all agree that bandori has more of higher tunes into the music but pjsekai is more close to the original so both is a win for me.
honestly, my way of thinking for this was unless it was a mmj or 25jii cover then, i'd choose bandori over proseka. i'm not the biggest fan of leo/need and vbs covers and even though i really enjoy wxs, they ended up covering similar songs to pasupare and harohapi which are my 2 favourite groups in bandori.
those who frankly prefer a really different and unique take to a song would much prefer bandori but man.. i prefer songs that get closer to the original while being abit different too so proj sekai takes the cake for me. bandori is just too.. different like KING and lost one'a weeping for example which is just utterly off. asu no yozaru and venom are probably the only bandori version that i like quite abit better than sekai's. still good covers and its really up to preferences no one should be flamed for liking which one better cause they are generally good
Idk, it just feels like the girls in Bandori put a lot more EMOTION into their singing? I will say though N25 are great about making songs actually sad or gruff when they need to be. But to me I just prefer how Bandori sounds like they are playing live.
For me, most of the remade instrumentals for bandori sound too muddy and it lowers my enjoyment of their covers, which is sad because I like a lot of their vocals
Honestly, for Happy Synthesizer, I felt that Aya really put the happy in happy synthesizer and the proseka one was really boring. I couldn't feel the "happy" at all. (IMO)
I, for one, very much prefer bandori in most cases. No hate to purosekai, but when comparing their covers to Bandori, the vocals in purosekai's covers feel quite underwhelming(??) It's pretty much like they are simply singing over the original song. ((Given that it is a cover, so I ig it makes sense but I find that quite bland.)) Bluntly put it, the singers sound inexperienced. The mixing? Average. I might biased though (?) since I'm not a huge purosekai fan myself for the same reason mentioned above. I still enjoy some of their covers though! Like the Retto Jottou one and Phony. There's more, but I can't really think of much other than those two atm. My own opinion aside, one must also take into consideration that purosekai and bandori have different goals. Purosekai's focuses on making those individuals into idols while Bandori focuses on creating independent bands. Thanks for the video!!! It was fun to hear covers from both Bandori and Purosekai!!💜💜💜💜
I do really like bandori covers just sometimes they sound kinda funky especially while playing and I kinda can’t stand it Ik it’s suppose to be like that but preference ya know Also another thing I feel like sometimes they get the tone of the song wrong in songs like yoru ni kakeru or karakuri Pierrot so that kinda ruins it But sometimes project sekai songs lack variety especially since they are stuck with singing with a virtual singer and the original arrangement but both have ups and down of course like whatever Yiu want!
i never liked most project sekai's covers and i'm playing since launch lol, i think it's mostly because of 4 people singing at the same time and it sounds like a clusterfuck during chorus parts
I mostly prefer bandori covers than pjsekai's, maybe because i don't like how pjsekai covers usually use vocaloids in their covers, don't get me wrong. I love Vocaloid. But i don't like how they put it vocaloids with human voices, it just sounds wrong to me
I'm a long time Vocaloid fan, I knew it years before Pjsk or Bandori. I play Pjsk occasionally but I don't play Bandori at all. But I still love the Bandori covers a LOT more. And by a lot I mean a LOT. For several reasons. If I try to listen to a Pjsk cover for me it usually just feels like a decent cover but always not as good as the original. So I really can't bring myself to listen to any of them. Only a few, I really like the Salamander cover, NeedLe Shiho alt (notice how it's two Deco songs? Yes this is Deco slander), Yobanashi Deceive Akito alt (still prefer og) and I like Close to Grey (mainly because for a long time I wasn't even aware there was a Vocaloid version and couldn't find it, when I found it I started preferring the Vocaloid version though..). But with Bandori, since they really make it their own with unique instrumentals and often strong vocals I REALLY like them (still not as much as ogs though!). I really like the Bandori King cover actually. Also because Bandori tends to often not have every member sing at the same time, I'm not a big fan of many voices at once. Plus Bandori doesn't have the godforsaken NT VOICEBANKS. I don't even play Bandori but I still prefer them so this is unbiased. But I also just really like rock music lol
On Renai Saiban, i think i have to go with Iname Toru's cover (Not in either game but its the vocal of the same guy who made the song) Edit: same goes for Karakuri Pierrot, Iname's vocals Also, Racing into the Night with Ikura's vocals please, thats quite better
I know nothing about bandori so I can’t contribute much here but i was VERY surprised to see that the group(? person?) singing yoru ni kakeru in bandori was the like …. Seemingly cute and happy idol-esque one . Because that does NOT at all match the song lmaooo
Also for a probably very biased actual opinion here- most if not all of the bandori ones here sound kinda . Weird.. to me? I can’t pinpoint what it is about them, I think I’m just not really a fan of those specific vocalists on a first listen

Happy Synthesizer's Bandori cover is very different instrumentation-wise to me; something about the chiptune being the way it is pisses me off since I knew the Vocaloid instrumentation first
typical cover will choose true to original, bandori sometimes better because its different
plus if its to similar to original , better watch the original

Yukina's voice on Charles and Six Trillion is just so powerful. The emotion she carries in her voice when she sing them is just amazing. I mean The arranging on both songs are really well done
its aina aiba that we're talkin about man
LITERALLYYY!!! Roselia's Roku Chounen To Ichiya Monogatari solos anything, W for the three for choosing their version
Bro, even the Yukina's vocal can solo all the entire singer in anime.
Proseka has that more recorded type of sound instead of a live sound like performance instead and it's honestly pretty good and for bandori you can just feel their emotions in their voices and has that feeling where you're like right Infront of them but both are equally good
Yeah
guys remember that opinions are just that! as a bandori and proseka player, i do appreciate strong vocals simply because im biased towards rock that’s why i tend to prefer bandori’s covers over prosekas. however that’s doesn’t automatically mean that proseka’s version is bad as they actually gravitates waaay more close to the original song in general so i believe is a matter of what you actually like!
bandori cover arrangement is so good, they make it to suit the band
LITERALLLYYYY I love Bandori

Honestly the only differences that really bug me with Bandori songs are that so,e of the voices don’t sound clear. The prsk version sounds way more clearer and even if Bandori has a reason for doing that, it’s just such a huge turn-off. Another thing is, the instrumentals are really low in some of the Bandori songs.
probably cause even though both games are developed by the same company project sekai has sega producing it so bandori probably has a lower budget
Wdym the voices dont sound clear?
@@grumbull7572 tell me you know what bandori’s cover of 6000 trillion years and overnight says without subtitles
I really hate how natural sounding their singing is 😤😤😤 /hj
both covers are so good and i dont think we should compare them like which one is better :> everyone has their own preferences
this ^^
I love this comment
Everyone has their preferences hence why this video was made, it’s their opinions it’s completely alright to compare them
fax
Raychell and Yukina sing kawaii?

This isn't an attack on Bandori fans, I'm just a Vocaloid fan that is way too used to the Vocaloid original so any major changes like that makes my brain feel weird because it feels WRONG. I did actually think Bandori had the better BRING IT ON cover until the VBS CD released and fixed how bad the game version was. Now it's back to being too different for me to really get any enjoyment out of it.
As a vocaloid fan i agree with you
Yes I have to agree, Bandori is more focused on bands while Pjsekai focus more on vocaloids songs. It's kinda annoying when people say that Pjsekai cover is bad when they like bandoris covers more, Bandori changes it instrument to matches what their game is about, while Pjsekai is a Vocaloid featuring game.
Yeah I agree

I started making it before daybreak frontline and amanojaku (I procrastinated alot)
for me amanojaku, alien alien of prsk... idk about daybreak
@アル I don't think it's a mess actually, the 3 characters just got more lines than they had before, this was probably the best line distribution that they did to leoni
as for daybreak, idk because i haven't heard both covers yet.. but it's fine if you have a different opinion than me, it's understandable
@@bigchongus5140 I was soo excited for amanojaku to come out in pjsekai but i was kinda disappointed when I heard it ngl the chorus is just lacking :( they could have let some other unit with a stronger vocal to cover it . @アル OMG EXACT SAME THOUGHTS
DAMN YES, that's why i love bandori covers
Well, bandori covers use instruments meanwhile proseka covers are stuck with the original instrumental but I do respect your opinion.
Some covers actually changed the whole composition (?) into a whole new genre, like Asu no Yozora Shoukaikan by Afterglow or A Cruel Angel's Thesis by Roselia. Whether it's good or not, it depends on the listener
YESSS I PREFER BANDORI OVER PJSK MUSICS AFTER ALL
Kinda off topic but I’m a bit scared about what you’d say about D4DJ covers, with them changing every song they cover into EDM and all… (they’re still so good tho, some of their covers are even better than Bandori’s and PSekai’s combined) /nm /lh
OKAY BOTH GAMES ARE GOOD but you can't deny the fact that Roselias take on Roku chounen is one of the best covers out there
im a pjsk player, BUT I AGREE
I love the bandori voices! I wish I liked their original music more :(( such personality in the voices!
@@ozecho Damn right!! I love Pappare★Life! Bang! Banzai! so much, it's so catchy and the hard version is so fun to play
morfonica slap, popipa actually rock sometimes
Bandoris is nice but all of their vocals are either cute and light or sound like a grown tenor woman, while prosekai has many different voices
Also all the bandori girls who have a tougher voice sound like they will crack any second
bandori has different voice what are you even talking about..
compared to bandori the main vocalists have so much experience performing live. an example of a “tough voice” can be layer. her va sings live while playing the bass and still sounds like the studio recording lmao you dk what you’re saying
@@orioti exactly, shenhas to focus on delivering those amazing vocals of her's and play at the same time.
Knowing how powerful bandori vocalists are, they tend to have more impact and emotion.
people who used on radical bandori cover will find proseka cover boring (just listen to the original)@@Reaenne
@Blue Yeah, I probably made a sweeping statement there, of course there is variation! Proseka just feels more varied to me personally :]
I think its because project sekai its closer to the original, and bandori makes their own style
listen to mas?uerade rhapsody re?uest, shuwarin dreaming, and jumpin and tell me they sound similar. they are not one style.
bandori covers (and music in general) just makes me feel more for the characters, their voices show better and because they actually recreate the music into rock, you can feel the bands’ vibe and feelings. i enjoy a lot of the pjs covers but i think bandori puts more emotion into their songs
I totally agree
People need to take in consideration the differences in music between both games. One game if full of bands and another is full of idol groups ( except for Leo/need) ofc they’re going to sound different from each other because in one game the characters actually play instruments and in one they don’t. To be able to properly judge the songs you need to listen to the full song and really compare them based on your liking. I hate when people say bandori’s cover songs sound off when they really don’t. It’s just the difference in music.
Vbs, wxs and n25 are considered idols?
@miha the koya is not ok-ya oh ok thanksies
The only idol group in pjsekai is mmj💀
The onky idols in prsk are more more juml tough...

In my opinion, bandori covers are energetic and lively, and sekai covers are gentle and calm.
bandori has some awesome covers (like buriki no dance and rettou joutto)!! but something about the way the songs are mixed irks me.
both games have awesome covers though let’s be honest here
yeah, someone said prsk covers have a more recorded feel to them. tbh i love bandori’s power but the mixing is not it
@@asu_meii agreed
TBF the mixing if not the instrumentals are meant to match the band's theme.
overall i just think the instrumentals are too quiet for bandori 😭
yeah the mixing is rlly iffy to me so i cant listen to bandori covers :( a shame cuz i love their voices
I think i like proseka covers more altogether, but bandoris lost ones weeping and a few other covers are definitely better.
@@JupiterHeart That’s perfectly fine! It’s all about perspective.
@@JupiterHeart I can understand Bandori's Vampire being bad since Kasumi's VA wasn't in the best condition at the time. MMJ was clearly better.
@@Blue-Code If she wasn't feeling well, then why did they let her cover it? I do hope Kasumi's VA is better now.
In order of the units, PJSekai has a band, a livestreaming idol group, street style performers, a theater troupe, and an online anonymous music unit.
@@Naito115 but they all dance, hence idol group, rarely exclusive music unit do dance,

KING(i got tired of the original instrumental after the boom it had within vtubers)
Rettou Joutou(pre-album release it was a bandori win,now it's a tie)
Lost One's was a bandori win until they released a 2DMV,now it's a tie(it made me understand that the "lack" in power I felt is because they aren't trying to be Neru's Lost One's,but it's own thing)

True

Love every song, love both games. Yes we want more. Thank you.
it depends on the song for me, songs that are originally rock style or have a band in the background 90% of the time i prefer the bandori version. songs that are more electronic sounding i normally prefer sekai. but honestly, i cant choose one game’s songs over the other
Ok, ok hear me out here, and don’t murder me for this, but overall I prefer Bandori’s covers.
-Also can we just talk about Yukina’s voice like omg the first time I heard it I was shaking on my knees it was so powerful and you could feel the emotions Yukina solos your faves btw-
In my oppinion bandori vocals are more powerful and professional, all are very distinctive from band to band
Imo bandori covers have a lot more energy than proseka's, and, really, that is what I am here for- (though I do enjoy proseka's voice clarity)

I can say 25-ji is carrying PuroSeka Cover song's they're the same like Roselia carrying Bang Dream Cover song's
And every Song's that they've sing, is fit on their band personality, if you understand Japanese you might know what I mean, if you understand the songs is really fit to 25-ji
Saying there are no mistakes is an extreme exaggeration. For example in their Phony cover, Kanade's voice was really breathy and didn't sound nice. For Omote Dissection, the vocals just sounded awkward.
@@Reaenne well shame on you, for me it's perfect

I havent played bandori but srsly after watching this i love their vocals sm, their cover songs is so unique but some of 'em is a bit low cuz the instruments is lower(?) than their vocals (instruments still sound great)
Bandori may be win my heart this time but still have my love for purosekai, love both of the games :]] there were songs that i had to vote both of 'em lmao
bandori It's loud scream at almost every song
im rlly sorry but i love bandori’s goodbye sengen too 💔
I like them both.
For me project sekai takes the win since I mostly listen to songs base on their instrumentals and not the vocals and since project sekai instrumentals are clearer and has more base (I LOVE BASE ESPECIALLY IF YOU PUT IT IN SPEAKERS AND BOOMBOXES) so project takes the win for me.
you are the weird one, BANDORI CLEARLY WIN IN INSTRUMENTAL
Help I like pjsekai gameplay and system more but bandori covers are just so good 😭😭
I really love bandori covers everything is just so good
for me, bandori's cover is better, the instruments are different, its like they're playing the instrument which is really unique

Asu no yozora: bandori…. I like rans voice way too much if you can tell
Vampire: I think i’ll give this one to prsk, I don’t like how kasumi sounds so squeaky in the bandori cover. (minoai alt vocals are amazing btw)
R&C: a tie for me, i love both a lot
Lost ones Weeping: AFTERGLOW AFTERGLOW AFTERGLOW AFTERGLOW AFTERGLOW AFTERGLOW BANDORI BANDORI this is bandori’s best cover and my favourite lost ones cover all time. nothing can beat ran mitake
Venom: I used to like the bandori one more but the mizuena cover grew on me so sekai wins this one. Mizuki slayed
Karakuri: Idl the prsk cover, so bandori. The minoharu alt is very nice though
Yi aru: sekai. I think this cover is just better for group songs
Sengen: Tie for me… I kind of like both covers (I don’t like emu in sengen tho… the voice does sound a little strained imo)
Roku Chounen: Bandori for that amazing instrumental.. ngl when the video switched to the sekai ver I almost sneezed 😭 I’m sorry ichika, I still love you lots
Yoru Ni Kakeru: Tie! I like both. I do use nene alt vocal in sekai though but that’s just because nene is my #1
In conclusion bandori covers slay more for me,, I think the instrumentals really make them stand out.
Oh! I also love Nene. My fave is Kanade though.
I love bandori covers but i feel like I can’t hear the instrumental in some songs or I can’t really hear what they are singing?
Wait wtf why did I say I feel like?? Does that even make sense???
Depends on how loud the instrumental is, they tend to sing louder than the instrumentals (in roselia's cover of king, ako's drumming is almost as loud as yukina's voice)
im not super familiar with pjsk but it doesnt sound like they usually make full band covers of the songs they cover. Just the fact that bandori makes actual full band covers of vocaloid songs is such a treat
yeah pjsekai usually goes closer to the og song because the game is more centered around the vocaloids, in some of the leo/need clips you can hear miku singing along
@@wynchiella yeah that makes sense. i guess im a little more partial to bandoris style because but i totally get the appeal
No one can figure out how to cover Vampire, can they?
For some reason I hear no difference between Pasupare and More More Jump’s covers of Happy Synthesizer.
If u say Project Sekai's Roki and Lost One's Weeping won, you are lying 💀
And rokuchonen ☠️
i scored it myself as well and it's a tie lol, but one thing i noticed that i gave my points more on Roselia's covers vs Leo/need's (except on asu no yozora shoukaihan, gotta give it to Ichika lmao)
Bandori sings more cutesy, prsk sounds more refreshing to me.. that's why I'm not into bandori cover, well i mainly listen to the original.
Every song from Afterglow, Roselia and especially RAS beats Puroseka’s counter parts (in my opinion)
FACTS they have such powerful singers and the best music genre
Yeah, Ran, Yukina and Layer/Rei are Bandori's best vocalists in terms of performance.
Eh, not really imo.
as a bandori / pjsekai player, between both of them the instruments are different and we can all agree that bandori has more of higher tunes into the music but pjsekai is more close to the original so both is a win for me.
結論バンドリもプロセカも神
honestly, my way of thinking for this was unless it was a mmj or 25jii cover then, i'd choose bandori over proseka. i'm not the biggest fan of leo/need and vbs covers and even though i really enjoy wxs, they ended up covering similar songs to pasupare and harohapi which are my 2 favourite groups in bandori.
1:18 what happened with mizuki and shinonome ena?
those who frankly prefer a really different and unique take to a song would much prefer bandori but man.. i prefer songs that get closer to the original while being abit different too so proj sekai takes the cake for me. bandori is just too.. different like KING and lost one'a weeping for example which is just utterly off. asu no yozaru and venom are probably the only bandori version that i like quite abit better than sekai's. still good covers and its really up to preferences no one should be flamed for liking which one better cause they are generally good
Idk, it just feels like the girls in Bandori put a lot more EMOTION into their singing? I will say though N25 are great about making songs actually sad or gruff when they need to be. But to me I just prefer how Bandori sounds like they are playing live.
For me, most of the remade instrumentals for bandori sound too muddy and it lowers my enjoyment of their covers, which is sad because I like a lot of their vocals
in my opinion:
• happy synthesizer - pasupare
• roki - afterglow
• charles - roselia
• renai saiban - mmj
• rettou jattou - ras
• buriki no dance - ras
• dramaturgy - afterglow
• king - roselia
• asu no yozora shoukaihan - l/n
• vampire - popipa
• romeo and cinderella - mmj
• lost one's weeping - afterglow
• venom - 25ji
• karakuri pierrot - mmj
• 1, 2, fanclub - hhw
• goodbye sengen - wxs
• rokuchounen to ichiya monogatari - roselia
• yoru ni kakeru - 25ji
I don’t play bandori but I might for the girl with the black hair and the red stripe who is she her voice is so cool too 😍
Ran from afterglow
Honestly, for Happy Synthesizer, I felt that Aya really put the happy in happy synthesizer and the proseka one was really boring. I couldn't feel the "happy" at all. (IMO)
As someone who played both
Bandori is just better
Most of their voices are strong
I do really like bandori covers just sometimes they sound kinda funky especially while playing and I kinda can’t stand it Ik it’s suppose to be like that but preference ya know
Also another thing I feel like sometimes they get the tone of the song wrong in songs like yoru ni kakeru or karakuri Pierrot so that kinda ruins it
But sometimes project sekai songs lack variety especially since they are stuck with singing with a virtual singer and the original arrangement but both have ups and down of course like whatever Yiu want!
I like both equally
i never liked most project sekai's covers and i'm playing since launch lol, i think it's mostly because of 4 people singing at the same time and it sounds like a clusterfuck during chorus parts
Bandori is more powerful and proseka is softer
I mostly prefer bandori covers than pjsekai's, maybe because i don't like how pjsekai covers usually use vocaloids in their covers, don't get me wrong. I love Vocaloid. But i don't like how they put it vocaloids with human voices, it just sounds wrong to me
The "softer" vibes that PSK gives isn't my thing really. I require power.
Might be why I'm a metalhead and the instruments of Bandori more.
Especially ran on lost one's weeping and venom, definetly solos
Vocaloid version of Rettou Joutou
For me - W x S and Leo Need id side with ps
MMJ and some nightcord without mizuki - bandori
On Renai Saiban, i think i have to go with Iname Toru's cover
(Not in either game but its the vocal of the same guy who made the song)
Edit: same goes for Karakuri Pierrot, Iname's vocals
Also, Racing into the Night with Ikura's vocals please, thats quite better
No one can beat mizuena's venom cover
afterglow did tho
I know nothing about bandori so I can’t contribute much here but i was VERY surprised to see that the group(? person?) singing yoru ni kakeru in bandori was the like …. Seemingly cute and happy idol-esque one . Because that does NOT at all match the song lmaooo
Also for a probably very biased actual opinion here- most if not all of the bandori ones here sound kinda . Weird.. to me? I can’t pinpoint what it is about them, I think I’m just not really a fan of those specific vocalists on a first listen
even though pastel palettes is cute and happy, that doesn't mean that aya(pink hair girl) is singing happily 💀, (besides, his voice has always been like this, so it's obvious that you'll be surprised)
@@yazuqi_0 🤷like i said i know nothing about bandori
İn my opinion pjsekai takes the cake for sure it just sounds more accurate and better to me yk? I couldnt even recognıze some songs when ı heard bang dreams covers (no hate)
i know this isn't needed but i wanna put my own opinions here
