Recently couldn’t complete a route. Lowered off my highest QuickDraw but ended up having to leave it on the route. Any tricks for not having to keep leaving gear half way up the wall? It’s only happened once but I imagine it could get a little expensive.
You can either re-thread through the bolt and abseil off it (not belay down) on the double rope so that there's no heavy friction going through the bolt on your rope. Or buy a maillon carabiner and get lowered off that and leave it behind (they are very chep.)

If you can't strip a sport route you shouldn't be climbing
