True! Draculaura was the most popular!
Elissabats sales where probably better than some of the other main characters. She is Awesome!
I believe they did her because she shares the same head mold as Draculaura, and skin, so it was easier to make her, still it was weird.
You're not alone, I think soo many people were really confused by the decision to make this random character apart of the 17 inch line. Literally ANY of the other main characters would have been AWESOME...I personally would have wanted a 17 inch Abbey or Ghoulia, although Cleo and Lagoona would have been great choices as well =(
My personal theory is that they overproduced the Draculaura doll, and Elissabat was probably the only character they could make from the the Draculaura molds...that's my own personal theory though LOL....
I hope they make a big Ghoulia in her original outfit! That'd be really cute...
They should make a giant Honey Swamp that would be nice
A friend of mine had a theory that they made this particular doll taller in a possible attempt to attract BJD owners since her outfit aligns more with that taste
._. bjd dolls are a thing on their own. they're amazing! but I don't think matell would do that....that's pretty low
did you know if you stick her under a blacklight her skin and eyes glow try it it's sooo cool I love elizabat
When they first created the tall ghouls idk why but I really wanted a Gigi, I don’t know why
If they really wanted it to be a random character, Whisp would have been a logical choice for this line. Remember her gigantic height when there was an eclipse in 13 Wishes.
I think They made her big, because she IS the vampire QUEEN. So, maybe it's representing how much power she has!!:)
I just got mine in the mail today. Saving her for Christmas....ah! The wait!!!
I am a huge fan of Elizabat esp the dolls. I am super excited they made a huge doll. I think she is the prettiest of all the giant dolls.
29.99???? Where I live I've seen them sell only one 17 inch doll and the price is like 60 in dollars. Unfair :( I really love Elissabat and I have no chance getting her.
+ Fugu Bubbles it's ok one day u will get elissabat I also want to get elissabat too. Also u are so lucky but in my country it's 200 in dollars but 200 dollars equals to 60 Bahraini dinars because I live in Bahrain.

Well the Draculaura is made cheaply because it is based of the newest rerelease and the elissabat is just a a size increase in the original design
i feel like they made Elizabat because her outfit was so simple and easy to produce unlike the others who went through a lot of changes All in all Im glad shes a doll I really want her and gooliopee

They made her because they said oh we can just repaint draculara and refoot her so that's why

Elisabat was just really popular whennit came out, many people liked it and also it's a vampire

They made Maddie but she is rubbish. They painted gloves and tights on Instead of making fabric accessories. Also no teapot purse. :(

Elissabat and Ula have different face molds, so they didn't make her because "it would be easier" or anything, i think it was just different fro what people expected and thats intriguing
The reason why they choose elissabat it’s because garret wanted a 18 inch of lagoona but Mattel was on a budget so they had to keep the holds they have on so they used Draculaura mold for elissabat

omg!!! ever since i saw your video, ive been on the hunt like a mad man for elissabat! yes she is an exclusive! and lucky for me i was also on toys r us website (canada for 44.95 😰) and they finally had her!!! so i went and got her and she is absolutely amazing!!!! and like you said her hair is meh, little bits where falling out 😕,but hopefully some brushing will get the strays out. but she is quite stiff in the joints and some of the double joints need some smoothing out. but other than that i cant stop moving her and seeing all the different poses she does! next ones are frankie and draculaura!

LOVE these!! Mattel made a good choice of making bigger dolls!! Now, it has more articulation, more ways we can style their hair because, I guess they are bigger? IDK. And they are great for taking photos. I hope they make more!!! Maybe some guy dolls would be fangtastic!!
A lot of people think she was made because it wasn't a completely different mold made. All they have to do is edit Draculaura a bit and voila Elissabat. She could be made cheaply. I have a feeling they will continue going down the line (Cleo, Ghoulia, Abbey) in the future.
It might be because draculaura and elissabat have the same mold. So instead of lagoona or abbey so it’s cheaper for them.
Fangtastic review!! The doll looks amazing!! I'm kind of bummed that my 17" Maddie Hatter isn't as detailed as this doll.. :-/
They were going to do Lagoona but Mattel chose Elissabat because Elissabat and Draculaura have the same face sculpt.

She is major enough that they have made more smaller versions of her. I would have preferred they did someone else. But maybe they are gonna release something cool with the other main ghouls.
Elissabat looks most normie of the ghouls to appeal to the largest audience, especially to make affordable fashion dolls widely available. Yknow, how dollfie and other BJDs are absolutely magnificent yet ungodly expensive? a way to compete with that.

I heard that they had a over production on the Dracula head and body's do they made Elissabat .

I recently got an incomplete (missing her bracelet and stand) oob Tall Elissabat and Im shook at how crooked her face is painted on. She is beautiful though! Do you still have your collection?

They probably made Elissabat because she has the same facemold as Draculaura, so they don't have pay to make a whole new one for her. That's my best guess, anyways.

the reason they made her instead of Lagoona or Cleo was budget the money they would need to make a new mold was too much for them so they used draculoras mold for elizibat
They should make a Scara and Manny and Abbey and GIGI AND CLEO AND MORE!!!!!!!!
I think it's because they had made too many draculauras so they put a different screening on her and free rooted her differently

Do u recommend taking them out of box putting them on display?? Or keeping them in the box ?? I have a lot most are 1st wave dolls I didn't know if they would be worth less out of box of keep the box to put them back in if possible
