This scene. When the character representing Jesus picks up his daughter it truly shows how he takes our pain, he carried it on the cross and he continues to carry that for us. He holds our burden and he knows the things that hurt us deep to our core and Jesus was more than willing to take it for us. It was a beautiful scene, then the holy spirit went to comfort him. I could do nothing but cry.

Amen, I lost my Father, my Grandfather, and my first cousin all in 1981. My mother and father were separated at the time of my father's death, I had a brother and sister and I had chosen to live with my father. Upon his death I was 16 and afterwards I went back home but my mother told me that I reminded her of my father so much that she just couldn't allow me to come back. It was a very trying time for me as I lost all sense of being. I tried every way possible to extinguish my life light but I didn't want to do that by suicide so I tried to do it by drugs, car wrecks, fights, anything and everything that would have just cause for my passing but one day I awoke in tears and as I laid in my bed trying to figure out what was wrong with me I realized I had always had a guiding ,protecting, ever watching higher power delivering me through my journey of life. Then the tears truly began to flow as I asked God to forgive me for trying to extinguish a life that never was mine from the beginning. As I continued to praise God and ask for forgiveness I looked back at my journey and still had questions of sorrow and hard times. The answer was put into my head in like this: the pity I felt for myself was incredibly small as to what my Grandmother's sorrow had to be as she had lost her Husband (my Grandfather), her son ( my dad) and her Grandson ( my best friend, my cousin) then I started dwelling on why a mother could choose to just give up on her son. My mom was a manic depressive and she was bipolar. There were times in which I thought I was going to be killed when receiving punishment 😪. Then I remembered that something always made me go to my mother, even with stripes and blood on my back, and say mom I am sorry and I also forgive you. She would always cry and hug me. Until later on in life did I realize that God was in my soul even then. In 2013 my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic and liver cancer, they gave her 6 month to live. I decided to move her in with me in hopes that I could give her peace in her life. She cried when I told her this. My mother lived 4 years and passed away on December 19th 2017. Before she passed she was laying in a hospital bed in severe pain and she sat straight up and pointed straight ahead and in a questioning voice she said Bobby? (My father's name) then again while still pointing she said Bobby in a more excited voice, then she put her hand down and smiled the biggest smile and said Bobby, in a totally relaxed voice. My mother slowly lowered her head to the pillow, closing her eyes and exhaling her last breath. Let me tell you why I have choosen to tell you all my testimony. Because when I'm in pain or I'm in sorrow or I don't get what I was expecting in life I just think of the pain and sorrow of Jesus Christ as he was nailed to that cross with a sword that pierced through his ribcage straight into his lung. There is no pain of mine that can compare to that. I'm older now almost 60 and the stories I have of my life I am going to record for the younger generations in my family. I want them to understand that life is tough for us all, from death, to abuse, to forgiveness, our lives will always be in the hands of our maker as long as we open our hearts and allow for his guidance. Heaven awaits us and in that place awaits our loved ones. They will be there to greet us and help us transition to the place of no more sorrow ,pain ,sickness, jealousy, rage or any of our earthly troubles. Believe me when I tell you, when you think your life is crap, when you think you can't get any lower, just remember if you want help it is there. Think about all of those tough times as I did many years ago and find an answer that will allow peace in your soul. Thank you mom for making me go into the world at 16 because of you I became a man quickly, because of you, I never beat my children, because of you I found that the guidance that follows me throughout my life is from Heaven and because of HIM I will see you again. Peace and love to you all. Happy New Year, make peace with yourself this year by helping at least one person, don't look at race, don't look at anything but only think about the joy in your soul afterwards. GOD BLESS

I started watching this movie but stopped because I knew deep down I wasn't ready to watch it and feel what I have been holding within for a long time would come to light. However, I finally managed to watch it and it has made me realise that there are so many obstacles that I need to go through to start healing internally. I'm grateful for the miracle that this movie is and I appreciate the message and truth is portrays. My healing process can now begin.

Today I woke up and replayed the recording I made and had my pen and diary cos I knew I had to jpt all the lessons down. I jotted 62 lessons from this movie and I would never forget it. You can never understand awesomeness of God except you have an encounter with him. Am really blessed

And I also think about my daddy who passed away on April 17th 2004 and my brother David who passed away december 21st 2016 and I lost both of them to cancer !

A gorgeous song so entirely fitting of the scene in the film that it is played in. You know when you cry so hard you suck air in your throat and it makes that noise? I went to see The Shack 5x by myself, and when this scene came on (all 5x) I had to force myself to cry silently, which was in itself, very distracting. I pre-ordered the movie. I am living for the 30th.....the day is planned to watch this movie over and over for most of the day
I watched The Shack a day after I had a heated argument with my now wife, I had lost all hope in God because I had no where to run to, me and my wife were banned from church programs because she was pregnant outside wedlock but the day I watched this movie I realized that God will never give up on me no matter how many times I sin against Him....... He carries our burden on His shoulders........ I love you Jesus
I just saw We Are Messengers last night at Collegedale Community Church with Big Daddy Weave and Zach Williams. It was AWESOME! Wonderful people with a mission/Message.
This song and scene had me crying because it made me think of my mamaw who had to passed away 3 months from acute myeloid leukemia. I miss her a lot and I hope that she knows that we'll never forget her or anyone else who passed away in my family. I was an honorary pallbearer during the funeral and i cried during the service. I'm gonna miss seeing my mamaw and I'm gonna miss hearing her lovely voice she had. God, please take care of my family up in Heaven and on Earth.

This movie helped me a lot when I was going through the death of my grandma. My youth group wanted a movie night and my youth pastor chose the shack. I was mad at God like the man in the movie. I drifted away from God every day when I thought about my grandmother and why she had to die. while I was watching this movie God was working on my heart breaking away the heart ace I had toward him letting me know that things are always going to happen and that even if God feels far away he is always near. and this song reminds of that moment when I cried asking God for forgiveness. The way God works in your life is amazing and I hope he is working in yours.

the shack is a really good book. I'm excited for the movie but at the same time I'm a huge movie critic especially when it's of a good book! nice song
I cannot even explain to you what this story did for me. I have suffered so many losses in my life. Through my own experiences, I have been able to heal because of this story. I lost my best friend and sister back in 1990, she was abducted, raped and murdered and left three children behind. Since, I have lost two brothers to suicide, both of my parents, and almost lost myself last year. I have found my way back because of this story. I am now a Peer Support Worker, almost Specialist, in order to try and help others. You have no idea of what my life has consisted of. So much pain, but I am a chosen one to make a difference to others, and that, my friend, is something that I am very thankful for. This story is one of hope, forgiveness, and love!! And may it do it's job in the world. Last year, while I found myself in the mental health system, I wrote my own book and have struggled to finish it. It's so painful to revisit it all. But I know that I can bring hope to the table, and will finish it soon. It's called The Life of an Angel!
