What a shame about the choreography - I love love love the skating music, but the content is so bland! Ms Tutberidze, what are you doing? Alina and Evgenia have many more transitions and footwork detail for PCS! This program doesn't show any of Polina's artistry at all! How can you force her to pantomine when she obviously does not connect with the music?? There is no feeling in this program at all - all I can see is Polina's stressed and sometimes blank face :( She deserves better!
I love her skating and especially her jump entries but there's something really clunky about her landings. It's like she lands flat footed and her knee is absorbing all of that energy she gets from the spring in her jumps. So many of the landings have a loud "CLACK"ing sound whenever she lands. I can't imagine it's very good for the joints. Some of the men have quieter landings on their quads!
kurt once again right in his commentary re the "old school style of jumping"..polina definitely has this and it's great!
