Acts 2:38 is not a contradiction to the fuller formula given in Matthew 28:19. Here, the abbreviated form emphasizes the distinctive quality of this baptism, for Jesus is now included in a way he was nor in John's baptism. Stop nit picking. Ridiculous
not one person was ever baptized in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy ghost. Every instance recorded was done in the name of Jesus as he was the one who died for our sins, was buried and was resurrected. We pray in the name of Jesus, bless our food in the name of Jesus, pray for healing in the name of Jesus, but won't baptize in his name?
Obviously you don't know scripture. John the Baptizer was instructed by Jesus in Matthew 28:19 to do this very thing. Smh

In Acts 2:38, Peter who had the keys to the kingdom, commanded that everyone be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission on sins. All of the disciples were with him but none of them corrected him, they all knew what the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost was, it was Jesus! The gospel is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. That's why we are buried in his name, he's the one who died for us! There is zero instances in the Bible of a baptism taking place where they said Father, Son and Holy Ghost. But there are plenty of examples where they baptized in the name of Jesus. Acts 4:12, for there's none other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we MUST be saved. What's the name? Jesus!
