A very good kwesheni Honourable Mamombe. Our constitution talks of separation of powers. The executive always tremble on the other arms of government with nothing coming out.Respect Parliament, respect the people.Surely on what basis are MPs going to be ambassadors of these Shenanigans. As long as fuel is not paid for in ZIG then hapana hapana.Governor did not give a satisfactory answer to that....The fuel sector is a cartel tiri kuzviona hedu.People should be able to pay in all the currencies in the basket...Some of These parliamentarians are ignorant of economic issues.

Let the governor ask those people he interacted with in during the launch to be the ambassadors to the zig zag currency. Secondly those mps are representing the people for the better or for the worse, they are representing the people whether the people support or refuse this new currency so Mamombe is right the zig zag is tumbling down terribly. No to zig zag.

im from Namibia and having spent 18months in Zimbabwe,i have never seen such a people....the most educated on the continent but the least supportive to their government, any initiative that the government takes is never supported by the people. All foreign expert economists support the idea of Zimbabwe's gold backed currency but the only people criticizing it are Zimbabweans. Trust me i have been to Zimbabwe before, situation is not that bad as they say it in the news.

The people who fought for the majority rule are refusing to let the politics of majority rule. If you become that kind of leader it does not matter what kind of policies you implement people will never support them. From the days of Mugabe
Zanu PF had the best policies in southern Africa but the worst in implementation in the world, that's why our inflammation was the highest in the world.

So Mamombe is speaking as an opposition of the government not at our national interest.
This is wat is dragging our nation backwards , people just feel to oppose whether good or bad our government is doing

Ambassador of which thing, the money that is set without actual thinking and full consultation from the general public of Zimbabwe, mnangagwa takes Zimbabweans as stooges who are useless and have nothing but forced to adopt to things introduced to them by mnangagwa himself.. Mnangagwa is doing what he wants with the people of Zimbabwe. If the people of Zimbabwe deployed mnangagwa to be a statesman he must consult with the people of Zimbabwe in every move to find out whether they agree or not. He mustn't force people to adopted his ideas yet all people have there own rights to anything in the country. Mnangagwa is treating us people of Zimbabwe as his family members which he tells what to do and what not to do. Very wrong and it's sad that he won't win the fight

Our MPs need to regularly consult constituents quarterly to ensure they're representing our interests in Parliament. Their role is to serve the public interest, not the other way around. They must be approachable and actively seek out our concerns
They must understand that they are representing ONE WORD FROM THE CONSTITUENCY.

  • @moreflowfalls2404
    @moreflowfalls2404 Před 2 měsíci

I think Joana asked a very good question. She is entitled and we support.
I also think the Governor makes a valid point.
His official start date was in March 2024. So he had no role saying anything before this date.
He consulted with those who he was comfortable with beforehand, which is also allowed.
So this is good to have such issues ironed out.
The issue is that sanctions lead to the death of the Zim dollar.
As long as these sanctions remain, we stand a big risk of always introducing currencies that will go no where.
What needs to be done is to re-engage with the west in terms of business, trade and such like, including the East as well. We need to create trade, local industry, jobs export etc. The question is how can this be achieved. I believe its a political dilemma. The elephant in the room. I believe in time this can be discussed at al levels.
Back in the day, 1British pound was equivalent to 12 Zim Dollar. This was in 1997. This should be our targets.
So if the Governor is working hard to stabilise things, lets support.
Most of us really love Zimbabwe even though we are so far away from home!

@@lovejoymapara1397 I think he is right though because he had no authority to consult with MPs.
I guess its one of those situations where you are damned if you do and damned if you dont. Tricky!!!
We have to rise about this with reassurance of professionalism for the benefit of the people of Zimbabwe. Dialogue is good, esecially dealing with issues of different opinions. We build unity this way, I think.

She is campaigning for her party because if the currency succeeds what else will they talk about, because they have failed to clean and collect garbage. Was at Rufaro Stadium after it was renovated. Wow, if that is the quality of the opposition work, we are going nowhere, it's just the car park, football stadium of 1960s simply painted, 😂😂😂😂😂

She is right. Things must be debated in parliament first so tht when it is agreed upon they can own it n feel they ar part n parcel of th mission n hence they hv th will t sell th idea to people in their constuances..people will listen t them.. by chosing them it meant tht they love n trust them..
Saka manje.. sezvo vakaita vega riri kudii Zig racho? Vari kusungirei vanhu in th streets n why ar they now forcing Mps kut vatsigire..ngavaite.. vakati vanozvigonaka vega...tsvatu waro..zano marairanwa so said the elders.
