Always a pleasure to experience the work of true artists who show up in a very deliberate way. Even though its 80s dark synth revivalist, they bring that classic Californian flangey guitar sound, which bubbles with over-tones like church-bells, to British dark wave synth. It's so cool to live through the incredibly vibrant 80s British music scene again, but now American artists are taking it to a new level.
You're welcome. It would have been better footage but a woman to my left took exception to me filming and kept barging into me on purpose and trying to put her hands in front of the camera all the time. Thankfully, she was quite small so I still did quite well.
Saw them in Denver & was blown away! Rarely see a band & say “WTF is this!!! I need more!!” I’m late to the game but totally dig Drab. Excited to see them again
I was the same way. Saw them open for AFI which was a weird pairing, but instantly brought 3 of their albums that night. They had the best clean chorus sound I've ever heard live.
I’ve lived through the 80’s and saw them opening for AFI. Not impressed at all - been there done that with other bands in the 80s. Nothing special here. Besides they are not a full band - give me a band playing instruments and not just computerized sounds.
