Good morning from L.A. California. We had a personality named Huell Howser, who did shows about the history, culture, and people of CA called California's Gold on PBS. Sadly, he passed 11 years ago. He was actually from Gallatin, Tennessee. Your shows are similar to his. Thank you for giving us viewers a glimpse of the Appalachian culture and the countryside where you reside is absolutely spectacular. Continued success on all your endeavors.

John I'm way up here in Mystic CT and I can't tell you how much I enjoy your channel. Thank you for all the hard work. Its so wonderful to see this part of the country. I have a Google Doc filled with places you've visited. All I need is a little time and to plan the route. I've had enough of hurricanes & Noreasters the past few years up here in New England. They can have it! I do believe I could move to TN and not look back! Your barn is gorgeous! Thanks again, John. I'll be right here watching. I would love to see and purchase a book that has all those old general stores with photos John. It would be great to visit some of them and perhaps I can but age and health slows me down some these days. Thank you for sharing all your adventures.

I really enjoy your videos John! My husband and I stopped last yr in April to RMBrooks on our way to FL to visit son and grandkids. It was a beautiful back roads off of 75 there! Keep up the fantastic job you're doing breathing fresh air in these family owned gems!

Here in Colbert Ga its beautiful april day sunny and 63 degrees as i pass some hay fields and some horses and cattle in some of the prettiest acreage in the piedmont area of north Georgia ,i can see the edge of the mountains in the background which is the outline of the smokey mountains.thats why i love your videos so i can get a closer view of those mountains i can only see as a blue haze

After watching your videos I made a bucket list. In April, my daughter-in-law and I drove from Pennsylvania to visit RM Brooks store, Muddy Pond Variety Store and Muddy Pond General Store. We ended up in Gatlinburg and Dollywood in Pigeon Forge. It was a great trip!

I also belong to our WHHISTORICAL SOCIETY here in town. We have a lot of great history. Pictures of our first railroad pictures of our area that was all farmland and that was developed over the last 250 years to where it is now.
