I wanted to do them for years and finally got them. The way I learned it was : stall a fs axle, bend my knees to put my hand on the coping - thumb on top, then switch from axle to smith and drop in with my hand sliding on the wall. I practiced these steps over and over until it felt natural and then started to actually learn the real trick and the end of the tricks felt way easier and I got it really fast. Now when I want to learn it on a new wall I always do these steps before to built my confidence up and it works well.
thx dude
OMG thank you for this :)
AWESOME EXPLANATION!! I was forgetting to bring my nose down to a SMITH GRIND and kept on top grinding like a 5-0 and it was just IMPOSSIBLE to come back in! These steps helped me A LOT to understand the final move of the trick which is bringing back in seated on a SMITH GRIND, NOT A 5-0 to tail or whatever I was trying! lol Thank you so much!
I used to think you had to finish dead over top your board. I could never come back in extended. Makes sense to angle the board to make it come back towards you. Thanks Christian!
such a nice dude he gave me money to get in a contest
"your comin in, and you just go...wooow....." sooo much style!!
I must first learn how to "woom" before learning this, I guess.
This really is an easy trick. It will take you months to get it down properly, but you can learn it. Keep the surf style alive!
Yes, one of the greatest trick!
Is it possible to do it on a ramp?
I am so trying this. Plus I love the song in this video. Great job!
this is a great explanation of this trick. Thank You Christian!! you da man!!
Heck yeah Christian! Great lesson, very passionate. Style
I'm going out tomorrow to land this sucker! Thanks Holmes!
Yeah no doubt it definitely a style strutted, for sure...if u see some one skating u useally see like a parade uniformity so see a little style separation is so nice and radical.
Sweet advice! Is that the Van's park at the Block at Orange?
Great description Christian, I think I could do these again even at 47 years old....
Nice tutorial Holmes!
Hell yeah! I'm gonna do it!
I would like to see a trick tip for lien to tails.
If I could just get my front side air and lay back grind, I could die a happy old man🤙🏼😎
nice layback!
a lesson from the master.
this looks like a fun trick to mess around with
Sick deck
Search our channel for "Chaz Noseblunt" to hear Chaz Ortiz break it down!
i'll learn them after my mates funeral tommorrow. R.I.P D.S.B
Hosoi did layback's best for sure, but this isn't his best version. He's doing layback smith's here. He can do them where it's like over flapped like a surf board on a wave and the way he comes back together with it. Wow.
Hosoi !
This made me laugh so hard. Cool trick too i'll be tryin dat
miller flip how to video please?
What wheels is he using?
So what you're basically saying is...... to do this..... I need to learn how to do this.
Step 5 separated shoulder
all day everyday
where can i get one of those decks with the longer nose? cant seem to find them anywhere
Hosoi hammerhead model
how to do layback airs, and miller flips.
Are they easier fs or bs?
Fs because like he said "it just flows"
learned it backside first, still struggling with fs
its called a hammerhead....they make hosoi reissues and its hosois skateboard shape.
2:19 behind you xD
Lol 2:21 background
Truly true. What he said . BUT Hosois style cannot be. Copied.$... Insco
