- Finishing up this project for now, doing everything I need the excavator for. The customer will finish raking and sowing the lawn.

My measure of an operators skill is wasted motion, wasted time, not knowing what to do next (failure to think ahead), and pride in your work. You, sir, are a darn good operator! Any young person who aspires to be an operator would do well to use you as a role model.
Thanks for the shot of the pallet of leca blocks. Now I understand They will be used as what I would call piers. They are leca rather than cement because leca will not wick water.

I really like your compactor too. Round foot makes sense and all of the energy goes straight down. Much better performance and easier to move than the typical US flat plate compactor, pushed and pulled with a lawnmower like handle.

The compactor works really well in trenches, and it is versatile. On this job i could have had a bigger ”lawn mower” type, but I dont own one.
