SHOOT me a message on IG FAMILY!! - Zábava
According to Isaac's son, Isaac suffered a stroke around this time, well, around the time of Stuck in the closet episode aired, and was unable to make his own decision to quit or stay, and he surrounded himself with other scientologist, his bosses, lawyers, agents etc. and someone in this group quit the show on his behalf, and it is not really known who did it, and also said that Isaac wasn't that big of a hypocrite, he wouldn't make fun of others beliefs, and say his personal beliefs were off-limits, Matt and Trey, after hearins his son's story said that they knew something didnt seem right, anyway, this is the episode where they had to figure out what they were going to do with the character, so they killed him off, and since they no longer had him, they used old audio from Isaac from older episodes so he would have dialogs, and the beginning, when it said "last time on South Park that had Chef leave was a joke, there was no episode that showed Chef initially leaving for the Super Adventure Club, you didn't miss anything
Exactly!
@anders9646 one thing I've always wondered was why his son waited until after Isaac's death to reveal this info, I've asked this in a South Park Facebook group I'm in, and I don't think anybody really knows, but I've heard some people suggest that the church may have threatened the family with either legal action, or physical action, and with all the shitty things the Church has actually done, it doesn't seem to farfetched that they were threatened in some way, but I'm not 100% sure why the info wasn't revealed sooner, but I do believe his son's story over what I use to belive, that Isaac was so upset he quit himself, but still some questions
@@colt45604 he probably wouldn't talk about his father's business when he was here. Idk. But we all know that fruity cult had a finger in it. He knew exactly what southpark was and that they made fun of everything and every religion. But surely they couldn't take it when they were being made fun of. But he was probably already deep in brainwashed and money wise, and knew they would come after him. Sad..
Yeah allegedly the Scientologists sent a resignation letter or something to Matt and trey and they didn’t know it wasn’t him and just never sent him another script cuz they used to do everything through mail basically
We gotta make this the top comment so Quizzy sees it
I have a theory about Darth Chef. I believe that Trey and Matt hoped that one day Isaac would return to the fold, and when that time came, they would have made an episode where the boys have to fight him and turn him back to good, like what happened with Darth Vader in the movies. Unfortunately he died a short time later and their hopes were dashed. That’s my theory.
Isaac was sick and Scientology forced him to quit South Park. His voice was borrowed from past episodes and inserted…badly on purpose.
Shame too, after Chef died, none of the boys had a positive male role model in their lives.
Randy is
@@alexanderjackson8389 no he's not. If anything Stan and Shelly need to snatch him up in a bear trap.
Forgot about Uncle Jimbo or Mr. Mackey.
@@alexanderjackson8389Randy is shittiest rolemodel possible.
@@TheRealZombieWizardIts crazy that Big gay Al is maybe sanest character after Chef in the series.
Idk what was funnier... Cartman randomly using Kenny like a Pokemon at the end, or the social worker "eating" that poor doll.
You need to voice act for darth chef, the hello children was spot on
So true
ETA: When he got the second stroke irl Scientology didnt give him the proper treatment due to their beliefs, AKA they let him die in the show AND in real life
Scientology is one hell of a drug.
As much as I love chef, this is no where near the worst episode, just because he died doesn’t mean it’s not worth watching
yeah i could watch this episode all day if it meant i didn’t have to watch mr garrisons fancy new vagina
To you
to you
Yeah but making him a pedophile was so uncalled for
R.I.P. chef. I don't blame the producers, they had to improvise a way to explain taking a beloved character out of the show that was simultaneously sad, funny and conveying a message. They did the best they could with what they had.
oh hello no they could of just killed him on the show
@TharsanJeyachandran nah they needed to call out the bullshit around him leaving
nah they couldve just killed him off the show. they made his character a brainwashed p3do, thats a pretty petty way to handle that. it also undercuts the message.
@@TharsanJeyachandranhe was being a hypocrite and left because they made fun of his religion
I believe they killed him off the way they did was that the official story at the time was Isaac chose to leave because they did the Scientology episode, and they saw that as very hypocritical, they could make fun of other beliefs, but not his? And they got upset with him at the time, so this was kind of a screw you to him at the time, and then later it was revealed by his son that the then official story wasn't accurate
Imagine being that homie. Being told chef is ur favorite character and my first impression is him singing make love to the children😂😂
This episode was disturbing.
Apparently Isaac's actual response to the Trapped in the Closet episode was that his real frustration came from them getting a few things wrong about Scientology instead of him disliking the episode all together, however that was before he got the stroke. It's like his son basically said "he wasn't THAT hypocritical to want to leave the show after that episode"
yes it was they got wrong tons of religions and mocked them, its OBJECTIVELY hypocritical plus they got almost everything correct about scientology and if anything went easy on them also chefs character wasn't even in that episode
@imalittletoxicjustalittle either way Isaac didn't choose to leave. The people in scientology left for him and Isaac had no say (due to stroke)
I did hear something like that from somewhere, I'm now just curious to what they got wrong, because I watched an ex scientologist review the episode, and he was actually impressed with the things they got right
Re. “They could have found a better way to honor him than to make his character a child molester” - Yes, of course. But they weren’t trying to “honor him”. They were trying to embarrass and humiliate him. They were seriously pissed because Hayes had been totally ok with South Park poking holes in and ridiculing every ideology and religion on the planet, but doing Scientology was too much. It was hypocritical. In retrospect it is unfortunate that it was done this way, especially after Hayes sad death. But at the time, it felt right to return one middle finger with another middle finger.
This is right. I seem to remember Chef making a public statement surrounded by members of the super adventurous club denouncing South Park. Seems to me that Matt and Trey felt that the super adventurous club was putting shameful words into Chef’s mouth. So Matt and Trey scrubbed all of their episodes to find/put shameful words in Chef’s mouth …back.
As I watched this the night it aired, it just seemed to me that Matt and Trey were never gonna let Chef reconcile with them. They killed the Chef dirty. And then, of course Kyle’s eulogy shows that they really did/still love Chef-so we can infer that it was the super adventurous club that they were really punishing.
Did you read Issac Hayes son’s statement about the whole situation?
@@Thollis1987No, I haven’t read it, but I’ve heard a lot of people talk about it. He claims it wasn’t Isaac himself that quit South Park. But there’s controversy. Some think it’s true, and some don’t. I certainly wouldn’t put such b.s. past the Scientology people.
@@TedwardsTube I heard you that too. It seems Issac was acting differently between South Park, Scientology and Soul Man movie back in the day. Such a tragic loss.
Actually Quizzy It's Not The Worst Episode It's just a Sad Episode Because They had to air it on TV
It’s the worst episode bro
The worst episode in my opinion has to be the Tolkien episode
I've heard a lot of people say Pip is the worst episode
Quizzy your videos are really Dope keep on going Bro 🤘🏾💯😊
I was so sad as a kid when I watched this with my dad, but my dad couldn't stop laughing 😂
Honestly a better take than Nerdstalgic. Wish they could have brought back Chef, (besides Stick of Truth), but oh well.
This is what Super Adventure Club really believes - ask Tom...😂😂😂
idk why but I about died laughing when you said their taking y'alls knees
This South Park episode is unhinged and funny, but I don’t like how they destroyed chef like this naw chief
chef left the show in between the run times of season 9&10 off screen
Ironic that Chefs last line was I'm alive in the season 9 episode Die Hippy Die then the episode Trapped in the closet happened & the rest is history.
well technically chef did not die at all , he is prob. still out there as Darth Chef.
This is a certified hood classic!
R.I.P. Chef 🙏🏽
This was genuinely one of the most shocking moments I ever experienced watching TV. Only thing that compares was when Dr. House used that surgery machine to cut the guy with the swollen tongue in half, and that ended up being a dream sequence.
Actually House really did kill that guy. Granted most of the episode has house imagining stuff but still graphic. House doing surgery on his own leg is a good choice too
Goodbye children!! 🤣 Great ep, Thanks hun xx
RIP Chef, great reaction though. Your south park videos always crack me up.
The peppermint hippo got me 😂
Spontaneous Bootay
marlocs are a reference to celebrities drinkin kids 🩸 (adernochrome)
Or Thetons (sp?). Since the whole thing is to parallel the effect of a certainly "fruity little club" on Chef/Isaac Hayes.
@@erikjohnson9112 i disagree because theatons just measures “energy” , while adernochrome and these “marlocs” keep the old young
@@CJfromMEXICO South Park often does this, where the parallels are jumbled and they scramble terms almost never quite making 100% parallels. Where my idea matches is the presentation of theatons vs this episode's marlocs. Watch both scenes and you will see nearly identical presentation styles. I do get what you are saying and don't deny the connection.
Isaac Hayes didnt really quit, the Church of Scientology took advantage of the fact he had a stroke to quit for him. But I think this info was revealed only years after the fact.
Kenny Lines
Yeah. Me too.
Like what?
Yeah! I say we go to that adventurers' club right now and get to the bottom of this shit once and for all!
Chef!
Chef!!
They did one of the most beloved characters in animation dirty.
not really , super adventure club is supposed to represent scientology . and given they could only use old voice clips , they did they’re best to write him off the show . it’d be weird if he randomly disappeared off screen
Did they tho??
It's fucking South Park after all lol
I was waiting the day you got to this episode😂😂
Finally i been waiting for you to watch this Ep lol
i dont really get some people sayin they did their best with what they had, this isnt even close to some of their funniest episodes and they were clearly being petty. they lost a partner to scientology, and at the time didnt know issac had a stroke and the church wrote letters without his consent.
they still made the character into a brainwashed p3do, and had him die in the most ridiculous way possible. people are also sayin they did their best to work with old voice clips like lol. production process is not slow, it takes a ton of effort to splice up enough clips to make a character say they want to have sx with kids. issac was on the show for years, i promise they have enough clips to work with that they could have made a different episode.
they could have gotten another voice actor, cause that fits the theme of chef being "off" and not his true self, and in general the plot could have been different. someone could have found chef dead from a heart attack or something after he didnt come in for work, and the adventure club is trying to use his body for whatever over the top reason. even the joke the secret group hes in is a club of EDPs is not really that funny of a joke, and is not really something the church of scientology is notorious for, so it doesnt even make sense. multiple possibilities here, they just didnt want to do that cause they felt hurt. trey and matt are petty sometimes, and this is one of those times. im sure if they had a chance to not make this episode in hindsight, they wouldnt. but this is not "the best they could do".
You do chef's entire family spot on
They did Chef dirty 😤😤😤
Thank you. I don’t want to hear anything else about jakovasaurs or a million little fibers. This episode makes those look like citizen Kane.
😢 They Treat Chef Bad
Man I really do feel sad for chef bro 😢 and it’s good that’s that lady he sings a song to was there too geez man it’s so heartbreaking 💔 I will miss haring his songs
Trey and Matt did this episode to both mock Scientology and to express their real feelings of losing their friend Isaac to that “fruity little club”. 😭
Sad stuff.
Oh and @14:16 i’m Catholic and used to the jokes so no worries my guy 🤣
This one is nuts haha
I feel like maybe they left him alive in the end with the "Vader" scene hoping he'd come back... of course then Isaac passed away..
As a member of the Super Adventure Club, I am deeply saddened that we lost Chef as a member
freaky ahh boy
I see you like your bananas a little green I see.
What? You have him as Darth Chef
Post reported.
@@surfersilver6610 the heads of youtube are also super adventure club members so that won't work 😅
Personaly the episode isn't terrible it's just sad
Just by the episode story of a heartfelt goodbye and then going on to show chef as a brainwashed person I feel it might be a mix of both his illness and the Scientology thing.
Think about it, chef leaves and the town is sad (Isaac goes on leave because of heath), the town eagerly anticipates his return (the SP crew hopes that Isaac recuperates and can return), he returns but brainwashed (Isaac hays appears to then quit because of Scientology).
Can only be called worst if you can't laugh at something poking fun at something you like.
But you were laughing a lot, so no it is not worst.
You just focusing too much on the meta.
I think it was a hell of a lot of honoring Chef here. Everyone really liked him, was sad he left, was happy he came back, and had genuine sendoff at the funeral.
The super adventure club stuff wasn't Chef, it was a brainwashed person.
While its absolutely sad what happened to IssacI can’t blame Matt and Trey for killing of the character in a way that would reflect the situation with Issac. If I had someone woking with that acted like a hypocrite I due to a fruity science fiction cult id bash them to as a token of love yet lost of respect since its what has been done for years.
Matt Stone one of the creators is Jewish and you don’t see him crying about the Jew jokes now that I respect.
Though I loved Chef wish they found a new voice actor with think skin like Trey for satire even if it didn’t sound the same. R.I.P. Issac despite his cult joining mistake.
How’d that guy miss 3 shots? Because he was in the _Super_ Adventure Club and not the *normal* _Adventure Club._ Never spent any time hunting or at the range. It was all spent… well, you know…
They were shooting their shots at/in the wrong species....their own and not the mature one's either.
It's a violation in hunting to hunt underaged mammals to my limited knowledge.
the youtube search isnt a beast, its dogshit. if I search for something it will show me 10-15 videos then it will show me "for you" then it will show me "previously watched". its just like google. if I type in something it start giving me a bunch of unrelated bullshit.
This is not the good bye he wanted but the good bye he deserved.
Super Adventure Club is supposed to be Scientology. This episode is a reference to Isaac Hayes choosing Scientology over South Park.
This episode was wild , I didn’t wanna see him go out like he did
It seems like this episode was a commentary on the behavior and relationship Isaac Hayes had with Trey and Matt, like they thought his religion was full of sick people who were controlling him. I think they also wanted to piss him off.
Kenny spin blossom nut squash!
But aslo RIP chef
23:20 if you don’t know Quizzy, that backstory as well as the super adventure club is a parody of Scientology
"Get Out" vibes in the beginning 🤣
i think ur right somewhat about the roles the characters play, but sometimes they divert from it so its not a Law of southpark yk
like it doesn’t apply to EVERY episode, but overall i can see where ur coming from
I agree.
Its part of the joke that Chef speaks weirdly in this episode. Its because his brainwash.
But yes true reason is that they used his old clips.
Broh, love your reactions, but this one stands out from the others i saw
there, I believe that the whole thing with children in this episode is quite brutal (to Isaac Hayes) but accurate metaphor to what happens with children IRL that are born in scientologists' families. They have their childhood and normal life taken away forcibly (by their parents who are in the church), which is of course totally different from molestation but most often has just as severe and irreversible negative effects on the child's mentality.
Deprivation room and being read the manual? Yeah, definitely hitting Scientology and "The Path"
Chef was killed off because the actor wasn't happy at Matt and Trey for making that episode clowning on scientology, he was extremely offended. And his death was really questionable as well.
they did tribute in 08 lit ep
oof, this was NOT a good choice to show someone for their first South Park >_
Yeah he left the show by this point so they just reused old voicelines for the entire episode. It's unfortunate but with him leaving the show the creators burned the bridge with this episode.
27:34 - Yes! 👏👏👏👏
Hated that Isaac Hayes passed away in 08 (along with alot of other celebrities that year, one of the darkest years for Hollywood ever. Hell, Bernie Mac died a day before him). When he died, Chef died with him. The voice of reason needs to be replaced in South Park. They can never ever replace Chef but they can replace that major characteristic that's been missing ever since. Thats what's missing in South Park.
Check out the chicken lover episode
In my opinion, this episode is not the worst episode, it's okay, the worst episode in my opinion, is the Tolkien episode, I hated it that episode
Yoo Quizzy, your beard is exactly like gerald broflovski
South Park needs a new chef
I keep trying to figure the last thing Chef said at the end of the cafeteria. I know it’s bad cuz even Quizzy said “ WHAT?!”
RIP to the 1st token Black person in South Park until Token showed up.
Don't know if anyone noticed it but if you paid attention to the logo on the plane you would see what they do. There is a child in front of the man in parachute and he is positioned low on his body
Please define what "retroprocity" is lmao
I love this episode
this is like some Conspiracy cover ESPN S@#*!
I agree about this really being a disappointment to the legacy of the character, and a huge part of South Park as a whole. I watched this to see your reaction, but this is one of the few episodes I also don’t go back and watch.
"It ain't right!"
Ironically just like in real life, after his stroke Isaac wasn't the same and those religious people around him interfered, just like the pedo dude in this episode.
Cartman is not a representation of fans and viewers, he just has some of the worst characteristics there are. Sexist, racist, manipulative etc. That's not how Matt and Trey see fans of the show.
Chef. 😭
Isaac Hayes. 😭
I don’t think that it was a bad episode but I feel bad for Chef.
14:14 aw come on finish the joke!
21:01 "Where did y'all come from?"
From then-prepubescent girls, I assume.
This isnt the real chef its a robot
Ive been dreadin this day😔
SOUTH PARK = 🐐. PERIOD. 🤣🤣🤣
This is, like, the third time you've done this video. Maybe fourth, jesus.
Chef is a live they put him back together dark Vader chef
Kenny Spin Blossom nut squash needs to be in the game
22:07 Well, I wouldn't call him *ugly* - if we're going strictly on looks, I'd say he's about a 5 or 6.
Then again, Dr. Pal and Ms. Stevenson are actually good-looking, and... yeah, 'nuff said.
Didn’t know EDP could cook.
But no for real, I hate that this is how they quite literally character assassinated Chef. I’ve read on the reasons WHY and seen the discussions about it in these comment sections, but it’s still so heartbreaking 😢
This has to be the worst episode to watch first lmfao
every show *changes things for branding* its called *parody* a rout away from *lawsuites* because *parodys arnt legaly buinding*
Chef died before this episode that's why his voice sounds like that.
Not really, he died after this episode, the reason his voice is like that was because Isaac was no longer on the show, Isaac died, I believe, a couple years after this episode
i love your vids man but the music inbetween you talking about the scenes is out of place and kinda weird, i liked it better when there was no music
You obviously can say hello there children can you sing like chef instead of killing off Chef they should have just hired you how are you and you could be chefs son quizzy
Killed chef cause he quit after bitching about the scientology episode
Worst episode is peepees waterpark
That episode is hilarious
I disagree! Stanley’s Cup is the worst. It’s the one time South Park went too far.
@@kcirtapelyk6060I have to agree on that
Pip (Great Expectations) is the worst episode.
Why you no lyka da PeePee?😂😂
What they did was so disrespectful to the VA, it's definitely one of their worst moments.
