After the 2023 MU just ended yesterday, I would say MU 2018 is still the best edition. Thailand 🇹🇭 produced the best edition of Miss Universe in history, period. Coming from a Filipina myself, I'm at awe at how topnotch the production is, from the stage, the lights, the camera work, the song choices, the singers and performers, Thailand gave it all👏👏
And of course, this edition had the most predictable winner. Slaying the competition, from beginning to the crowning moment

At first MU production from US brought some dancers to open the show, but after the discussion with Thai organizer, they agreed to change the stage performers to be Thai traditional dancers. And the outcome was great!

Great decision. I wonder what is the point of hosting in Thailand without Thai cultural elements and Thai dancers on stage? If MU production wants an American show with American dances, they'd better do the pageant in the US. I was so disappointed that in Miss Universe 2016, very little Filipino culture was shown on stage.
I come back here again after watching Lisa Blackpink 1st solo MV today and she repesented her home town culture on that MV as well. Such Amazing! (10/10/2021)

Till to date, Thailand is the best host of miss universe pageant😍what a job well done, the stage is so captivating.
They did do a great job of hosting the pageant that year, but I still have yet to see any venue outdo the opening production of 1999. Trinidad & Tobago turned it up & out. It was the most celebratory spectacle in Miss Universe History. Well done T&T I'm sure U made your country proud.

I can't stop admiring this opening number! My hat's off to Thailand. Miss Universe did an amazing job highlighting the Thai culture, something that was missing in Manila's staging of the extravaganza,l. Feels like it's just Vegas transported to the east. When MU was held in Thailand in 2005, it was also a magnificent opening number.

The stage, the opening, the bg music everything is so perfect
